CD artwork covers made by me.
« on: February 01, 2010, 04:10:03 PM »
Hello my fellow friends,

Here are 2 new designs I made.... no DT this time!  :omg:  ;)
Just made these last week... just keeping my photoshop skills up to date.  ;D
Been thinking to contact these bands just to see what they think of it.
I know it's a long shot... but I want to make a living out this in years to come.
Yes, the Spock's Beard one is very BC&SL inspired but I just love this kind of photo manipulation and Hugh Syme is my all time hero.

What do you think?

Steve

Those are damn cool. Especially the Spock's Beard one   :omg:
on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.

Speechless.
I hope you do make a career out of this Steve, because bands around the world will display your work with pride.

Dude, if I end up writing an album, would you be able to put together some cover art for me? You are my unofficial photoshop hero.

I'm blown away, man.  That's great stuff.  You are skilled.  I've come across some of your DT wallpapers too and you're the man.

Thanks everybody, really appreciate all the comments.  :tup
Here's some artwork I'm working on at the moment... the band is called Concrete Prophet.
They are now finishing their latest EP ''Proof Of Concept''.
They approached me last year to do artwork for this album.
Check them out! https://www.youtube.com/user/ConcreteProphet

So yeah.... I'm getting there... slowly  ;)

That Spock's Beard one reminds me of a combination of Black Clouds and A Change of Seasons and IT IS AWESOME.

Thanks Nick, yeah... the Spocks Beard one was actually a design for Concrete Prophet's EP cover... but it was to BC&SL-ish... so I made another one... and yes I was very inspired by the BC&SL .

Dude, if you are not charging for this service then you should be. Through the nose! You could make a FUTURE out of this. That actually looks significantly better than a hell of a lot of booklets I've got in my collection. That's a proper business, right there!

The Kinetic page, with the streaks of light. Mindboggling.

The seagulls from the Prophecy Within looks exactly like DT's GreateSt HIT.

Lovely work, though.

I've also seen your previous works, and you're absolutely amazing. It's far better than most actual album artwork I've seen, simply impressive. Keep it up :)
