I was a snap decision away from posting something profane and hectoring about that there hat. Well, not about that hat, I love it with all my heart. More like how slowly it's trudging around the world.
I'm eager for some hat lovin'.
No, no, no. It's a replica of the first stage of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation.
Good game, that. Been playing it recently for the first time since my early teens. I'm way better at it nowadays. Fucking rock, I do. Love being an adult. All clever and TombRaiderry. Authentically good games what's more! People always go "oh, they've made their intelligent, independent heroine attractive - how sexist;" and neglect the fact that the first four were, at heart, some seriously interesting, unique and actually fairly revolutionary games. Really, really entertaining. Great fun.
Although, tense. That boulder-trap chord invoked the fear of god, fucking hell. I started my little replay-spree with Tomb Raider 3 and for the majority of the India levels I point blank refused to play it after dark. I'd forgotten how creepy it was. Statues coming to life and scaring the bollocks out of me. One of them actually caused a brief kidney failure, or close enough. I've got used to it now, though. No matter how improbable the spikes are, I've got into the habit of a minor "CRAP!" moment, and then just laughing at my idiocy.
