R.E.M. - Fireplace is one of the more unexpected sax songs (but awesome).

Hmmm.I think this was probably their biggest hit then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4q4NDGRyb0I think Harden My Heart was probably their bigger hit. I certainly remember those songs, but I honestly had no idea who it was. They might have been alright, dunno, but Pat Benatar pretty much owned that slice of the musical pie. Not really enough room for two groups doing the same thing, and while they had a couple of radio hits, Pat was cranking them out on the regular, album after album.

Despite my general distaste for reed instruments in rock music, one song I really like that heavily features sax is Long, Long Way from Home by Foreigner. I'm not sure if Ian McDonald used tenor or bari sax (or layered both), but it's got a lot of warmth that rock sax typically lacks. Also, this:Also also, if someone could find a way to incorporate this bad boy into a hard rock/metal song, I'd definitely check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BiW2mVKk0w
Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.

Hint hint. Keifer Sutherland movie.
Nobody has mentioned Dave Matthews Band yet, but #41 is a definite sax highlight.

Oh yeah! Tears for Fears - The Working Hour is always one of the first to come to mind, but there are tons more. Also, doesn’t get much better than King Crimson’s Starless.
Great White's album Sail Away features Clarence Clemons on multiple tracks. That whole album is very different from Great White's usual schtick. It's one of my favorite albums for nighttime driving.
...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!
Springsteen and the Big Man, various Supertramp songs, and then there's Boots Randolph. My Mom bought his 'best of' album along with my first turntable, that had the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' 45 on the spindle in December '75https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAJB6HsYiNAYup, better remembered as the theme or closing for Benny Hill
