Here we are, the first round for the band's then-much-anticipated follow-up to Vapor Trails, which took them a Tool's-length of time to release, but what a wait it was! The tease leading up to this one was intense, especially when the opener used the famed "Hemispheres Chord", though I remember the backlash "Far Cry" got for not having a traditional guitar solo (after an album that didn't have much in the way of guitar solos).
Upon release, this album also had two versions - one in a simple digipak, and another in a fancy lil box for the MVI release, where the disc included a short making-of documentary which was pretty insightful into the creation and recording of the album, especially how they came up with "Malignant Narcissism" when Geddy received a fretless bass in the studio and was caught jamming on it!
While this one has a lot of great songs on it, there are a few that I find "just good", and my vote will go to one of those - TLB, TWTWB, BF, or GNF.
