System of A Down - Toxicity: I think that Toxicity is really great, perhaps one of the greatest metal albums in this century at that point. I actually only listened to Steal This Album afterwards, and I really didn`t get it. It felt like a meaningless compilation of B-sides from Toxicity and even when I tried to like it, I just can`t.

I always thought Toxicity was very eccentric, do you not like STA! just as an album? Or do you think the songs on it are meaningless aswell. Comparing Innervision/Roulette to Bounce, I'm guessing you're talking about the album as a whole.

Pink Floyd. Dark Side of the Moon is fantastic, WYWH pretty great, Animals meh, and I've started to like The Wall and Division Bell. Their other albums I just can't really get into them.

Yes, I mean the album in its whole. It just seems so random at some points. Toxicity at least had some overall topic (except maybe for Bounce which is my least favourite song from that album), but STA seems much too random at some points for my taste, even if it has some nice single songs, e.g. I like I-E-A-I-A-I-O or however it`s spelled  ;)

Well, I dunno about meaningless, but STA was the B-sides of Toxicity.

Madvillain :neverusethis: (this project only have one album, but it's one of the Hip Hop all time greats  ;D)

Arcade Fire - While i like most of their songs, the only album i love in it's entirety is The Suburbs.

Daft Punk - Love Discovery, the rest i enjoy some songs.

Oasis - It sucks that they only have 2 great albums cause they feature some awesome songwriting. They still wrote some good songs after them but the albums weren't as consistent.

Opeth - Love Ghost Reveries (and Opeth sound on that) but i never was a fan of their other classics albums like BP and Still Life.

:emo: I still think Don't Believe The Truth is the 3rd great oasis album.

American Football and The Avalanches :neverusethis:

Arcade Fire - While i like most of their songs, the only album i love in it's entirety is The Suburbs.

The Suburbs is great, and has what could be Arcade Fire's best songs with the title track, Suburban War, and Sprawl II, but I feel it still has its share of tracks I could do without or don't care for, whereas with Funeral, every song is great.

I like every song on The Suburbs, but with that many songs and not a lot of variety, it does feel like a bit of work to get through all of it in one sitting.

Interesting though that you call the title track one of their best.  That is on my list of songs I like, but always skip.  Sprawl II and Suburban War are both great for sure, however. :tup :tup

Also, to this day, I want to smack them for playing Month of May at the Grammys that one year.  A bunch of family and friends who had never heard them before, but heard me talk them up, were introduced to them right then and there, and all of them thought they were total shit because of it.

But, usually, The Suburbs is viewed as one of the better tracks of the album along Sprawl II and Ready to Start, so there's no surprise in him picking that one.

:tup for Suburban War. I find it quite underrated, one of my favorites for sure.

It may be a bit of an obvious choice, sure, but the title track still gets me every time and serves as a great introduction for the album.

I'd go to say at least that The Suburbs (the album) has the highest highs in their discography, while Funeral is slightly more consistent IMO.

In answer to the thread topic, I'll throw Animals as Leaders in there. I know they're pretty liked in general by the prog fans on this forum, but the only album of theirs that I really like would have to be The Joy of Motion. The self-titled and Weightless, on the other hand, do next to nothing for me, aside from a track or two.

System Of A Down is a good call, Toxicity is great, the first one is listenable and the rest is a complete waste of time.

Bryan Adams: Reckless and Into The Fire is where it's at, everything after that is boring and the first three ones aren't stellar either.

Must've been Kwyji sending all the wrong songs.   ;D

I personally put the self-titled debut on the bottom of my list, the only songs I regularly listen to from that album are Spiders and Sugar.

I always thought Mezmerize/Hypnotize were very highly regarded even though they're not my personaly favorite, there's some of my all time favorite SOAD songs on there though, Question! especially is a masterpiece.
