I was randomly walking down the street today, and walked by this...

I was tempted to yell "BUENOS AIREEEEESSSS!", but that would have been slightly weird.

In Russia, "Luna Park" was the general term used for traveling midway carnivals that came by my city.

Considering a lot of people from Argentina are descendants of Europeans (from migrations that ocurred in the first half of the 1900s) and Luna Park opened in 1934, it's very possible for the name to come from the traveling midway carnivals mentioned.

Also, are you from Argentina, rumborak?

My hotel was right next to the obelisk. I'm back in Boston though, after a 22-hour day of traveling. Totally zonked :lol
