metalhead in beautiful song shocker
« on: February 13, 2012, 02:46:51 PM »
hi guys im new here from london
been a dream theater fan for 2 years now and wembley was my second show. being a metal nut im obviously drawn to dream theaters heavier ie tgp,ntr and all of train of thought :-)
ive been guilty in the past of skipping some of the lighter tracks from their back catologue. but on friday hearing songs like surrounded and the spirit carries on makes me realise how narrow minded i have been and how beautiful some of their songs are. i was nearly moved to tears by the spirit carries on
anyway enough rambling been reading on here for ages so thought now the time to join the madness

The Spirit Carries On was magical in Oslo as well... And IMO the "lighter songs" are better :D But I like every single DT song  :tup

don't feel guilty about skipping over their lighter tracks.  i do all the time.  when i'm in the mood to listen to dream theater, i'm not in the mood to hear ballads.  i listen to them for the prog/metal, unashamed.
