Very interesting band that Mark Holcomb from Periphery recommended. Very mellow with some heavy parts all around. Very interesting sound blending Sigur Ros, doom metal, and some electronic/ambient stuff.

I think emtee and professorpeart would be all over this. Check them out.

I'll wait for Lethean's judgement as he's the resident Katatonia fan.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Cyril, I swear you think everything is djent.  :lol  This album only has like two songs that even feature heavy guitar.

This album is amazing. I do think that their heavier sections are less interesting than everything less, but they're sparsely placed that it works, and everything else is just fantastic.

Very cool! Getting a nice Anathema vibe also. I will dig deeper into this. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't even remember the album 'cause I only listened to it once but the song I was sent in a roulette had a djent-y chorus and that's basically all i remember about them

The song i sent was before their debut (Jaws)

But it is kind of representative of the album. Heavy alt-y guitar riffing, wall of sound ish. Catchy vocal melodies, quite straight forward.

But this sound works fantastically for them, last year’s album blew my mind beyond expectations! The sheer range of influences so subtly mixed into their own kind of sound. Dark Signs, Sugar and Blood Sport are all SOTY 2019 contenders imo

Blood Sport is gut wrenching. Love the lyrics!

I also hear some Snow Patrol, specially on the lyrics and choruses. Stunning album! Great album to concentrate on work as well!  ;D
