Back when it came out I was totally unaware of how touched up James' vocals are on this release. Until I got the DVD with multi-channel audio and held my ear in front of the center speaker. Nonetheless, epic concert.

His vocals always stood out as heavily pitch corrected to me (as they are on all of their live releases), but it doesn't bother me that they're touched up, since he's never been the strongest singer, and it frees him up to be James Hetfield.

He sounds amazing on the Ronnie Rising Medley though.  And it sounds like it's all James as well - plus harmonies - which always make his voice sound way better.

Plus Lars is playing really well on it too - I hope they bring that new found fire to the new album.
