I finally got around to wrapping this show up... I have mixed feelings. There was so much I hated about this show, but it had a shitload of potential. The world is in darkness because microscopic robots have seized control of everything, including the wiring in the brains of humans. They wasted two season showing all the bullshit drama between the humans, mainly Texas and California. It wasn't necessarily bad, I just didn't give a damn. The end of season two (literally the last 20 seconds) is what I wanted that show to be from the very beginning.

I think if it got a season three, or if season three was season two, the show would have done much better.

I liked the show and stuck with it. The nano tech control theme seemed like an afterthought though....like they forced that in after developing the show and I think that's why it didn't click correctly.

I have the same feeling, the mind control thing seems more like an idea that came up during the second season to try and stir the show in a new direction.

As you said Chino, this show had great potential but the writing, the acting and the story line overall fell short

The Nano tech control should have been the primary focus on the show. While they finally dug in during the second season, the seeds were laid very early on in the first season (Grace). There was so much time wasted on unneeded relationships (Monroe and Conner). The villain in this show was positioned to be unlike any other that I know of. Not only did machines become aware and take over, they had the ability to do so by going as far as hijacking living organisms. That concept totally blew me away.
