Just finished my first listen. I love it. Almost as good as Loveless imo.

Since Loveless is my favourite album of all time, this obviously doesn't match it. Am I disappointed though? Hell no. I fucking love this album. It has it's moments of experimentation that I really thought was a great thing to try. I can tell this will get many spins from me.

Going to listen in a bit, but I just want to say that I'm so happy that I could finally get the vinyl ordered last night around 4 am before I went to sleep.  :)

Does anyone else think it seems to gradually sound less like Loveless as it goes along?

This album is pretty good.

Seems a bit more instantly relate-able than Loveless (an album which I've 'appreciated' more than 'loved') and it doesn't really sound as if 20 years have passed. Like they're just picking up right where they left off.

Well most of this stuff was written at least 15 years or so ago so ... :) But I find the final couple of songs have a whole new sound though.

Writing this post just right after seeing the band for a second time.

The new songs sound fantastic in a live setting.

Random thought: I wonder how much in the thousands of dollars those guitars they use onstage cost? Fender offset guitars are most definitely not cheap in the market these days.

I have no idea, but 'a lot' would be a safe bet. I don't think Kevin Shields would settle for anything inferior to the best out there.

Slight spoiler:

New You is even more amazingly hypnotic performed live. Bilinda still looks hot.
