Killers is a great album.
Murders, Another Life, Drifter... WOW!
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Virtual XI is running a few steps ahead of No Prayer For The Dying for worst Maiden album, but I will admit a lot of the shit it takes from me is for TAATG and its endless repeated lyrics. What the hell was Steve Harris thinking there?

Although TXF is my fav Maiden album, it would have been received that little bit better by the fans if they had included Judgement Day, Justice of the Peace and I Live My Way.  That would mean cutting a couple of songs which I couldn't do, but those three rockers in there would have made the album a little easier to swallow for the hardcore fans.  I would have loved a couple more songs and made it a double album.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

I don't know, it's biggest drawback is that it's already a little bit on the long side.

They are both great discs.  I don't listen to them very often, but I get a craving to listen to them once in awhile and as a result, I really enjoy them.

I'm with the crowd who thinks that TXF is great and VXI....isn't.

Instead of comparing them to Load and Reload, I tend to compare them to the Ripper-era JP albums.  Jugulator was a really amazing underrated disc and Demolition was a steaming pile of poo.

No Prayer for the Dying wins my award for second worst IM album...but it's really not even close.  VXI is the only IM album I actively can't stand.  (and why all the hate for Fear of the Dark?  I thought that was a pretty decent comeback after the abysmal NPFTD.)

hmmm I feel a ranking coming on...  (I will have to leave off the reunion albums.  I was only luke warm on BNW, and never really bothered to pick up anything since.  But I promise I will remedy that when I get back to work).

1. Piece of Mind
2. Number of the Beast
3. Powerslave
4. Iron Maiden
5. Seventh Son
6. Killers
7. Fear of the Dark
8. The X Factor
9. Somewhere In Time

(These first nine are hard...they are ALL AMAZING...but then there is a *HUGE* dropoff to:)

10. No Prayer for the Dying

Another EVEN BIGGER dropoff:

11. Virtual XI

Childhood's end? The Apparition? Weekend warrior? The Fugitive? Fear is the key? Even Chains of misery and Be quick or be dead?

Comeback?

I didn't say it was jaw dropping...but I do like those songs.  And I would put EVERY ONE of those songs over, Holy Smoke, Public Enema Number One (really??), Hooks in You, and of course....Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter (worst song of the Dickinson lineup).   Tailgunner is, IMO, the only mildly redeeming song on the whole No Prayer album.

And I love Fear Is The Key. Dickinson does a great Ian Gillan in this.

Agreed.  I put BQoBD *far* above Holy Smoke.   Just different strokes for different folks I guess.   I guess I just thought NPFTD was such a horrible album that it made FotD seem brilliant.   I would even put Wasting Love above *anything* on NPFTD.

I really love the first 9 albums, No Prayer and Fear included.

The X factor I don't enjoy quite as much, but it's a good listen.

VXI does nothing for me.

Except for Futureal and  Lightning Strikes Twice; they are pretty nifty.

I don't like the last 4 quite as much as the first 9 (Except BNW; it's right up there), but they're all good and have their fair share of awesome.

The Most Underated Albums of All Times

what do you think

Not of all times, but very underrated.

They don't have any fillers, and Blaze's singing is great, POWERFUL:

Here, I'm with the knife in my hand AND NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY THE GENIUS MUST DIE!

HERE IS THE DREE-EEE-EAAM, THAT MAKES MONSTERS OF MEE-EEE-EEE-EE-EN!

WHAT IS REAAAL? FJUUTUREAL!

One of the most underrated vocalists ever.

My favourite songs from those albums are Sign of the Cross, Man on the Edge, Look for the Truth, The Aftermath, The Edge of Darkness, Futureal, The Clansman and Como Estais Amigos.

And Afraid to shoot strangers. Holy smoke is not a great song, but it's at least a lot of fun, while other songs on Fear of the dark just bore me. That includes Childhood's end, possibly my least favorite Maiden song, I can't see what's great about it and I've been trying for years. Except for the guitar harmony after the solo, that's listenable.

X-Factor is okay. A little overly long, some of the songs could've used some editing, and the production doesn't do it any favors.

Virtual XI is running a few steps ahead of No Prayer For The Dying for worst Maiden album, but I will admit a lot of the shit it takes from me is for TAATG and its endless repeated lyrics. What the hell was Steve Harris thinking there?
Why does everybody keep bashing NPFTD? Sure its not 7th son, but its nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Its like Youthanasia compared to Countdown to Extinction.

Except Youthanasia is the best Megadeath album and No Prayer is almost entirely boring.
