Criminal MindsOh right, how could I forget this one. Definitely my favorite of the 10 million crime drama shows.
In no order at all....
Scrubs
Battlestar Galactica
Deadwood
Frasier
South Park
Family Guy
American Dad
Fresh Prince of Bel Air
The L-Word
Queer as Folk
Sex and the city
Firefly
Arrested Development
Golden Girls
Star Trek (all of them)
Heroes
Lost
Stargate Sg-1
Stargate Atlantis
Stargate Universe
And probably a lot more I can't think of off hand.
I usually rely on DVDs or downloaded version of TV shows, as I'm very unreliable at watching TV at the same time every week.

Me too, although mostly because a lot of the shows I like aren't on TV much or at all, but are easy to get on DVD. Plus I've become accustomed to watching shows in one sitting.
In the last 2-3 months I have rewatched every single episode of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis (15 seasons in total). TV shows play out so much better when everything is fresh in your mind, such as character development, and subtleties in story arcs that you miss when you see them spaced out.

Yeah, its hard watching shows (especially dramas or action-based shows) on regular TV. Without any sort of Tivo/PVR, I lose interest too quickly. The commercials are super annoying, and I often want to be able to watch 2-3 episodes at a time.
Plus, DVD extras are in my Top 5 Things of Everything list, so that's even more incentive for me to get the DVDs.
and soon CapricaYou listed Caprica but not BSG? :lol
24 (which is basically dead)Wut? Isn't there a new series this year?
I'm currently watching Battlestar Galactica, up in the queue are Rome, Deadwood, Stargate, and Doctor Who (and probably a few I'm forgetting).Awesome, BSG is one of my favourite ever shows, and I've recently been getting into the revamped Doctor Who series as well. Been renting the DVDs, just finished the series with Christopher Ecclestone last night, there were a couple of amazing episodes in it, but generally the show is just so FUN!
The InbetweenersYou British son of a bitch.
The IT Crowd
Black Adder
Fawlty Towers
'Allo 'Allo

Andy would be proud.
Arrested DevelopmentHow could I forget that?
Dexter is my favorite, the ending of season 4 was fucking cruel.
Damn son, that fucking sucks. I remember watching the episode and thinking "this is alright, nice happy ending" and then it turned into OMFG WHYYYYYY.Dexter is my favorite, the ending of season 4 was fucking cruel.
seriously. I was so fucking pissed when someone spoiled the ending for me before I had seen it

Never once laughed at it, and I've unfortunately sat through a few episodes. Just many annoying people in it.

I never miss House, even though it's not very good anymore.
- ANGEL
- BattleStar Galactica
Yeah, seems stupid looking at it. I was posting in a hurry and listing the shows I currently watch religiously, and it was Caprica's premiere week, so I was stoked about it. BSG is probably on of my all time favorites, so let's just call it transient stupidity on my part. :Pand soon CapricaYou listed Caprica but not BSG? :lol

Need some advice. I'm thinking of either starting to watch Heroes or Battlestart Galactica. Which would you recommend (and if possible, why?)
In no particular order, The Simpsons, Frasier, How I Met Your Mother, and Seinfeld. I don't watch much TV, though.
I'm sure there's more, I'm a huge fan of television shows.https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=9834.msg321389#msg321389

There are a lot that have been mentioned in this thread, although I didn't see any mention of NUMB3RS, which may be my favorite, actually.
I'm interested to know what this said before you edited it :PI'm sure there's more, I'm a huge fan of television shows.https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=9834.msg321389#msg321389
Touche good sir.

I started watching Arrested Development after hearing so much about it. I'v watched two episodes...and I honestly dont like it. I dont know whats so great about it tbh. I've heard that it gets better as it goes, but I dont think it can keep me interested that long.
Wait, people actually liked Dollhouse? :biggrin:Yes indeed
American Dad is one of the best shows I've seen. It's like Family Guy but good.
I love Archer :heart

American Dad is killing Family Guy. It's so much better right now.
Yeah, it took me a few episodes but I feel in love with all the characters for AD. superb show.
I had started watching 30 Rock years ago but never finished it...starting on season 1 again...this show makes me laugh out loud a few times per episode. Baldwin is hilarious, such great characters on the show.

It's a good thing you've seen the light with regards to AD, otherwise you might have been in some trouble :P
Baldwin is the best part of 30 Rock, especially the earlier seasons (with Tracy a close second). "It's after 6pm. What am I, a farmer?"

I've been really digging How I Met Your Mother, lately.This. I'm already at season four and I started to watch it just two weeks ago. I just can't stop. :sadpanda:
Just finished watching the first season, and overall, the damn show's effing hilarious.
Trailer Park Boys. This show made me rethink how I feel about Canadians, no offense to JLB.

Roger is my 2nd favorite TV character, right behind Cartman. He's a true gift of a character. I also agree that American Dad is better than Family Guy, as much as it pains me to say that.
The Wire
The Sopranos
Six Feet Under
Deadwood
Dexter
24
Lost
Heroes
Prison Break
The Office
Survivor
House

Roger and Cartman are just brilliant :lol
True Blood:metal
NCISI was hoping this would show up in this thread. The lack of NCIS love has been disappointing.
just started watching Supernatural....
it grips you so quickly..... loving it!

Great show! Season 1 is my least favorite though. It gets much better.
Season 5
Season 4
Season 2
Season 3
Season 6
Season 1
Chopped... :hat
Chopped... :hat
That one's ok. When it comes to the Food Network, I'm more of a DDD, You Gotta Eat Here, and Eat St kinda guy. Oh, and Man vs Food... but I think that's on Outdoor Life Network, not Food. That show is such a train wreck, and makes me want to :puke: everytime I watch.
Hmm...in no particular order with the exception of #1:
Sherlock (BBC)
2. The Sopranos
Top Gear is my number one favourite. I don't really enjoy following any series, but as a car enthusiast I like to watch pretty much all kinds of car shows. Top Gear fulfills my needs for both fast cars and good humour.
[Top Gear is wonderful, especially the races and specials when they travel abroad (Bolivia, North Pole, Vietnam, etc.)
Not sure if a new thread is needed but Prison Break will be back.
The Shield decent?!
That is a top 10 show of all time.
BBC's Coupling. Seriously the greatest and funniest show in the history of TV. Steven Moffat is just an incredibly gifted writer. I've watched every episode dozens of times and I still have to pause the DVD to recover from laughing so hard.
