Please check the announcements forum for a quick explanation of what happened this past week or so while we were down. I will post more details and answer questions as I have time. In the mean time, it's good to have everyone back. Rest assured that while there may be hiccups in the system from time to time, I have no intention of letting this community disappear. I hope to see you all online again soon.

At least you had something to fall back on... I was jumping between 5/8 and MP.com most of the time. Both of the boards were too unfitting for my attitude towards DT and my "taste" about message boards in general.

Me too. This is the only forum I really liked overall. I post at others, but I can't imagine spending much time at any of them. Hopefully the important people find their way back, and hopefully some decide other places are better suited to their tastes............

omg.. i really had NO idea wtf to do with myself LOL.. i miss lurking on DTF. but its back! and should be fun. thank you everyone that helped get it back up and running! and i love the colors and layout of the new DTF <3

Well, briang is back so I would guess all banned members have become un-banned.

Me too. This is the only forum I really liked overall. I post at others, but I can't imagine spending much time at any of them. Hopefully the important people find their way back, and hopefully some decide other places are better suited to their tastes............
I may start posting a bit more at 5/8, but DTF is my home on the internet. They actually have some good discussion on their site as well, if you know where to look. They also have some lolworthy threads.

I once co-admin'd a message board, and for April Fool's I made every user a moderator for the day.
It turns out the previous/main admin had not set the board to keep backups of the database, so we just kinda lost all of the posts and such.
So, I know the feeling.

I'll admit, not having DTF created a major void in my life.
I just hope there's a backup of the DMV story and my story about me and Hef beating people up on my computer. Other than that, I appreciate the fresh start.

It's kind of ironic, really, that probably from a user standpoint, there were no real problems with the forum layout and functioning whatsoever. But at the same time, from the admin standpoint, seeing some of the errors and things on the back end of this have had a few stomachs in knots for quite a while.

No. We actually specifically tried to import the old Chaos in Motion theme, but couldn't because of it being too inextricably intertwined to a lot of the problems that caused the crash. But there will be a light them soon.

Needless to say, bosk1, we all appreciate the efforts from you and the other moderators to make sure DTF stays in check, and we know that you have the best interest of the forum at heart. It's great to know that after encountering such enormous difficulties with the forum that you were determined enough to get it up and running again with most of the same features intact. Also, I must say that I dig the new look! :tup
