Okay, going to try and do this since Destiny seems to be rather inactive as of late.
Going to try and do things like the past, but with some of my own new twists thrown in.
For starters there are four divisions, Do Not Want, It's a Trap, We Know Llamas, and Caturday. Each division takes every fourth member, for example Do Not Want would be overall seeds 1, 5, 9, etc. They would then be re-seeded 1, 2, 3, etc within that division.
Next, I noticed when I got down to the 60's that there were still a lot of long time users left out of the fray. So now positions 57-64 will go to the winners of a mini-tournament among the 32 top posters starting at the 57th.
The main tournament will be done placing certain "seeds" against each other as in the past, and the mini-tournament will be done by picking matches at random.

Eventually their post count will dwindle to the point of not being included, but for now they are there and will just be quickly eliminated. Because they are not banned it's not fair to not give them their shot.

You're not, it goes by post count. You can still vote, you just are not in the actual tournament this year. Next year you probably will be.

Each round will have two members against each other, and every member votes for their favorite member. It's all in fun.

Honestly, part of the reason I'm not doing it is because it generally has an air of being too cool or too... special to take part in such a tournament. It just seems in two months when we're all joking about results if people are opting out they will be saying how childish it was and how they didn't take part yada yada.
It has been by post count in the past, and everyone has participated in the past without issue, I don't see what the big deal is. If you really don't care about it just don't follow it.

XianL was originally missed because while I was copying down names he posted and moved one poster up in post count, effectively going ahead of bout to crash and at the time he actually jumped up a page in the members list when arranged by post count. So then when I went to move to the third page, he wasn't there because he had just moved to the 2nd page.
ANYWAY, I missed XianL, who could have been in without even being in the qualifier. But to make room for him I had to delete somebody. Global Laziness, you were the farthest down the list that had not yet been engaged in the first matchup. For that reason I had to bump you to make room for somebody who had a higher post count when the tourney started. If you keep posting I'm sure next year you'll be in. I'm sorry for the mix-up but I'm just trying to keep things orderly.

Okay, I've given it some thought, and here is how I'm going to do the match-ups within the divisions.
Instead of going highest verse lowest and then going inwards that way (ex: 1 v 16, 2 v 15 etc) like in past years I'm going to try something different. The one variation I thought of was randomly picking which seeds would play which, but that would have the effect of possibly having some big profile matches too early on.
So what I've decided is this, in the first round it will be 1 v 9, 2 v 10, 3 v 11, etc. That way matches should all be somewhat competitive. Then let's say the top 8 seeds move on. Then it would be 1 v 5, 2 v 6, etc. And it will continue like that.
First round should hopefully be up by the end of today now.

It has to be by poll votes only, way too much of a pain to count votes in the thread and try to determine if they voted in the poll or not. Part of the poll is to make things much easier on the person running something. Trust me when I say counting things by hand is a major adventure in tedious activities.

For a cell phone browser it is awfully damn good, especially for this site. Sure beats the default browsers on Blackberry phones. Sure beats Minuet. What exactly are you comparing it to?

I vastly prefer the Blackberry browser on every site I've been to. The zoom on the Blackberry browser actually has varying levels. On Opera Mini, it's either completely zoomed out or completely zoomed in. So completely frustrating.
You also can't copy, say, a web address, and then paste it into the address bar.

The copy paste is annoying on Opera mini, that's it's biggest problem. Opera doesn't do only zoomed in or zoomed out, so I'm guessing by zoomed in you mean the mode where it reformats the page to be the width of the cell phone screen. The Blackberry browser doesn't do that, unless it's a specifically designed mobile version of a site. That makes browsing so much easier on a small device I don't even like dealing with sites on the Blackberry browser.

I don't get that comment at all, one of the advantages of Opera mini is how fast it can scroll through a page. Up/down navigates through the links(and slow scroll when there aren't any) while left/right acts like a page up/down scroll. With a trackball on the Blackberry it's completely painless to look through the entire page in the column mode.

I've had different experiences then. Zoomed in it took me quite a while to scroll down a page. I'll try it out again sometime.

Just so you guys know, after this round will come the tournament simi-finals, and then the finals.
With possible tiebreakers and such the semi's will probably be over just shy of Christmas Eve. For those traveling around the holidays and obviously those who are not around on them, the finals will be held sometime in the week between Christmas and New Years, probably starting sometime around the 27th.
