I downloaded this and itīs amazing. The sound isnīt very stellar, but the video is gorgeous. I enjoyed this very much, I recommend this to anybody interested in a good quality bootleg of the latest tour.

I love the conversation that happens when the guy's girlfriend leaves for a while, and some dude checks up on him to see if he needs anything.
And the guys talking about Rush when The Camera Eye starts is pretty lol-worthy.
Excellent bootleg tho. One of my favourites.

Not a fucking clue. It works out much easier for everyone to just upload it, and post a link. Seriously, not that difficult.

If your connection is set up properly, torrents move much faster than rapidshare or other upload services.

I'm at school and I can't download torrents, but when I get home I'll upload it to a storage site if someone hasn't beaten me to it by then (assuming this is fine)

I've only listened to ANTR and AROP, but so far, JLB sounds almost as bad as he did on Chaos in Motion (on certain parts)
And I still think that AROP is the worst song for them (live). All the vocals sound horrible.
The whole band sounds off at a lot of spots in AROP. I'm sorry for being such a downer but... I thought that they were performing better than this lately. Maybe my ears are going bad and I'm hearing things...
And I love Dream Theater :'(
EDIT: Certain things are really good though, but all the talk of James being "amazing and almost as good as the I&W era" that I've been hearing on the forums is false (according to my ears)

He was in god-mode when I saw them.

LaBrie sounding not really good in here has to do with the equalization of the boot, I think. This recording is somewhat deficient in its low end, lots of the low frequencies are modified so they are heard more clearly, but without that specific spectrum. I totally believe that LaBrie's voice is not easily handled by recording devices, as it's indeed very full and it has to be worked very carefully. I have another boot recorded on this tour...Paris, I think. And LaBrie sounds Godly indeed. The sound quality isn't as clear as the one found in this bootleg, but the low sounds are heard more as "bass" and LaBrie's voice sounds very full and powerful. That's my little analysis :D

I don't know what you're smoking, but James sounded fucking amazing on this show. There were one or two spots where he wasn't spot on (I remember a bit of ITNOG was off), but he nailed most of it.

Well, maybe I jumped the gun in assuming that he sounded like this all the time. He did sound really good on a Lie video (where he is wearing the trenchcoat) from this year, so maybe it was an off night.
OR it could possibly be the equalization as DarkLord said. Blob, have you heard the boot, or are you speaking from being at the show?
I trust your judgement, but his voice sounds very... weird. Not nasally like Chaos in Motion, but just awkward. It is somewhat enjoyable, but my initial reaction was to turn it off and pretend like I never found it.
I still haven't heard a ton of it yet, so please excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong about this. I will post again once I've heard most of it, but as I said, ANTR did not sound that great to my ears.

I really think it's the equalization. In what other way can you explain people that went to the show telling that LaBrie was in Godmode and sucky in SOME recordings? I mean, even the guitar sounds flat in some points and that's worth of pointing :lol

I must admit, I really don't understand equalization or anything dealing with sound (all I know how to do is :metal), so my feeble mind can't comprehend such a huge difference between a bootleg and being at the concert.

If, apparently (unless I'm even more stupid and other people disagree once they hear this bootleg), this bootleg was "a great quality recording," why is it that other bootlegs that are recorded with worse equipment sometimes sound bad, but make the band sound great?
Also, I'm sorry if I'm wording this post weird. I'm really tired, and I'm hastily trying to write an essay for school (about Dream Theater ;D), but I wanted to chime in and ask that question.

There are parts of this show where I would love to hear a soundboard vocal from James because in some spots, he sounds pretty strong, but the recording doesn't seem to do it justice. MP sounds ferocious on this, drummingwise!

Why is it so big?
I guess I'll chime in my thoughts on James' vocals.
He sounds a teansy, teansy bit flat in some areas to my ears, but overall I find it enjoyable. I try not to judge performances I wasn't at, but based on the way he's singing things I could imagine why it'd seem like he was in God-mode to much of the audience.

Its in lossless FLAC. It is typically against the rules to upload a lossy (mp3) version when there is a lossless one available. :)

I downloaded one of the bootlegs, and I have all the files, but in FLAC format. Whenever I download things like this I can always get them into iTunes, but I can't simply drag and drop the files into iTunes with these (probably because if the format). Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I've been having trouble adding tags to these, which makes them stick out from the rest of my bootlegs in winamp. Oh well.

You can download a program called "Trader's Little Helper" which will decode these files into WAV form, making them more versatile and easy to handle.

Listen to Prophets of War on the Sydney show.
At the starting, a few people get REALLY pissed off. You have to listen pretty close, but you can hear a guy go "nooo, no no no..." and then start yelling.
It's pretty funny.

Not sure if anyone else gets this problem, but whenever I try to download Bit Torrent, I get a message the says "win32 application error" or something like that. I am operating on Vista Premium right now...help would be nice.

Ok, so I finally decided to indulge and get a torrent, exclusively for downloading these bootlegs (I used to be an AVID downloader, but I've become really opposed to it in the last few years), and I've just gotta say...
THESE BOOTLEGS ARE THE SHIT. WOW, I have been missing out on some fantastic live material...obviously the quality isn't quite up to Score level, but I did NOT expect them to be this great...really enjoying these (especially the Sydney one, that is one fantastic setlist) and being surprised by what's on all of them.
One question though, what are the Images and Words Beartracks Tapes? Perhaps a documentary on the early stages of Petrucci's evolution into bear-mode...?

Yeah, it's pretty interesting stuff but the quality is really bad. Some of the stuff was used on the Images And Words: Live In Tokyo DVD, but with much better quality.

So, another question.
Listening to the Milan Lost In The Sky tour, and at about timestamp 6:38 of To Live Forever, the band goes into something completely different...it could either be an instrumental from the Majesty days that I haven't heard of, or possibly some kind of jam session. I'm honestly leaning more toward the former, even though the rough transition between the two would suggest a jam session. The new bit sounds way too well planned out to be a jam session...but really doesn't sound complete enough to be a song. Mostly just Petrucci soloing with some neat synchronized riffs interspersed...any insights from anyone on what this bit is?

Are you referring to them playing The Beatles' "Within You Without You"? I don't have a boot from that time period available to listen to right now. But, I know that they were doing that all tour long during TLF.

Yeah, Trial of Tears Bootleg of the Month is pretty much a dirty lie.
But really, what right does ANYONE have to complain?
He puts up bootlegs on his server for free. Him having life getting in the way and becoming busy does not strip anyone of anything they are entitled to. People need to realize other people have lives too and that things do not revolve around them and what they want.
I know this sounds harsh, but as a long time trader a lot of people who are not regular traders can come into some pretty poor attitudes, and I'm hoping to stifle that here.
Edit: Just for example, let's say some random person on the internet starts sending you $5 a month for no reason and not due to anything you did. He does this for a couple of months and then stops. Are you somehow going to bitch at that person?

But for that $5 dollar argument: this money sending person is not putting up some sort of official/unofficial proclamation that "I AM GIVING YOU $5 A MONTH" and then ending it. Whereas, this ToT guy has pretty much forgotten about this site. How hard is it to even let the followers know that you're still around, just really busy. It take like 5 minutes to put an update on. How busy is this guy. ITS 5 MINUTES!

I know, but they all are in some odd format or take ages to download.
This guy puts them in the most convenient form for me.
