This is pretty wild, so I thought I'd share the news with you all - my prog fusion band Time Shift Accident will be performing at this year's Night of the Prog Festival at Loreley! We are blown away that the reactions to our debut and our little European tour with District 97 were so positive that we'll get to play to the largest prog festival in the world after just one album! And it's sure to be a memorable day, as Nick Mason and his wonderful Saucerful of Secrets band will be the headlining that evening, playing early Pink Floyd classics. Crazy! :o

I've been there myself several times and it's always quite the experience - the venue is just stunning:

Would be cool to see some forumers there - it's a huge event with a very international crowd, after all!

If you haven't heard us yet, you can check out our debut album on Bandcamp:

Very cool. Congrats!

Didn’t know you were in a band and hadn’t heard of it, but checking out Chronesthesia and it sounds good!

I've been at that festival about 3 times I think and it's a good one for sure! Won't be going this year, but enjoy playing there :)

So the lineup for the first day of this year's Night of the Prog Festival is this:

Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets
Anneke van Giersbergen sings Kate Bush
Alex Henry Foster
Agusa
Abel Ganz
Time Shift Accident

I guess in this context we're going to seem like some super-shredding virtuoso band and Damascus Dance will be the heaviest thing heard all day! ;D But I like it, I'd rather have us stand out than blend in!

Not mentioned here, but worth noting: Panzerballett currently have Virgil Donati playing drums for them!

Well, this has been really awesome for us! We opened the festival at around 3 p.m. and got a very enthusiastic response from the audience that just kept getting better with each song! Estimates say we had about 1000 people celebrating our set, which is pretty damn cool for an obscure opening act on a Friday afternoon.  :)

We have some recordings of our set, but we haven't quite decided yet what to share, but since someone from the audience uploaded two great videos with lots of closeups this weekend, I figured I'd just post these here - enjoy!  :D

And oh yeah, that's Nick Mason's massive drum kit in the background. Even with that taking about half of the stage, this was easily the biggest stage I've ever performed on. Such an awesome experience!

Due to scheduling conflicts, we had to replace two of our members for this occasion, which might've turned into a real headache, but thankfully we got the ideal stand-in musicians for this gig: Frank Tinge, my old buddy from Relocator, helped us out on drums in his usual extraordinarily reliable and tight manner and enabled us to include a nod to our shared musical past in the set - a cover of the tune "Relocator".  ;D  And Gerald Peter from Circle of Illusion handled keyboards, with his improvised introduction to Borsuki and the extended piano solo in Boonar Eclipse being real highlights of our set.  You can check out videos of these two here:
