As a fan of the band The Tangent, I have been used to long album titles with equally long album title abbreviations (TMTDA, TWTWDT, APITQ, NAGATB, DAOIPAL, ASITA, TSROFM), but I was surprised when the new DT album took its title from the epic closer, "A View From The Top Of The World", giving us one of the longest song and album titles in the band's history (rivaled only to the full title of their fifth album, Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From A Memory, which has more syllables, or MP2SFAM, which has less letters, unless you make it MPt2SFAM).
So I figured we'd take this great debate from the main/current DT15 thread and make a poll out of it here. I'm still undecided, and may just refer to the album as View for now, which is short and simple and easy to recognize within context, but I want to know what everyone else is thinking! How will you shorten and/or abbreviate the album title?

I can actually see myself going with View as well. That’s what I was thinking.

Mostly I would like A View from the Top of the World, full spelled, but as abbreviations either AVftTotW or 'A View' would work for me. I'm thinking, once you've gone all the way to 'from the Top' you might as well join 'of the World' in also.

I grew up hearing every metalhead talking about "Master" and "Justice". If we're talking DT and I tell you that I like Dramatic, you know what album I mean. Let's just call it View or Top of the World.

I'd say: Let chaos reign and the darwinian survival of the fittest decide about the "right" abbreviation.
AVFTT and ATOP have a good flow though (when you think of them spoken out loud)

Pretty much what I go for as well, except I use IAW instead of I&W given that the proper title is Images And Words, no ampersand. The only DT album to use an ampersand so far has been Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

It's no big deal typing 8 letters.
I dislike abbreviations anyway. Maybe if i'm typing on my mobile but on a keyboard - A View From the Top of The World is easy to type...

I stopped learning these abbrevations after Octavarium or so ... when someone posts an abbrevation of a song from, say The Astonishing, I'm like "what ... is ... that ..." :lol

Well...if we're going to nitpick about an "a" versus an ampersand, then we also ought to nitpick about having apostrophes where they don't belong. :)

TOWHTSTS probably agrees with you, but I always find it an annoying one to type, and "The Ones" doesn't quite sound right.
