Title: New video from my band (electronic driven prog)
Post by: PixelDream on September 26, 2020, 10:36:45 AM
I'm seeing quite a lot of folks posting their own music here, so I guess I should be okay.

This is the second single from my synth/prog/triphop duo called Ghost Echo. I'm on vocals, beats, synths and a little guitar here and there, and my mate is doing all of the rhythm guitars and most solos in this track.

We shot a spontaneous DIY homestyle video with us playing all the parts, I think it came out okay. Hope that you like it, here it is. Thanks for listening and let me know what you think!

That's pretty good.

Reminds me of Zeta.

I liked it.

For those interested, we just released a new video! Guest musician is Kay Ketting on drums, from the Berlin-based prog band The Shell Collector.

That was really cool! I almost could hear a bit of a synthed porcupine tree type vibe going on here.  This is quality music you guys and the lyrics are good too.

We just released our best video yet (by far), it's an animated video that's been in the works for almost a year:

I think it's pretty good.

Great blend of Steven Wilson, which I hear in the melodies and guitar sound (mainly the solos), and Synthpop, again reminding me of Zeta (how they have a calm vibe and how Daniel uses his vocals for his melodies). I really hear a lot of the Steven Wilson in the vocals. I am enjoying Monologue, I like this soft ambient atmosphere with the vocals, I wish it went a bit longer with a guitar solo, but I still like it regardless.

Thanks for listening Ben_Jamin and your observations.

About the SW influence, I’ve been a huge Porcupine Tree / Wilson fan for half of my life and Remy the other member is a fan as well. We almost can’t help it. Zeta I’ve checked out but I haven’t tried a full album yet, will do.

Ah Monologue, that song came together by accident, the underlying clean guitar was just a largely improvised guitar without recording to click and we liked it, and started adding things to it. We’ll def explore that sound some more I hope.
