inb4 the same pool of roulette people competes against each other yet again :lol
Sure, I'm in :)
Can I play?
alright i have a shortlist of 45 artists.
...
HECK
So you're saying I'm copying you? I don't think you have any evidence for that.:lol I mean I got the joke anyway, but the sig makes it even better.
(hope you have signatures turned on otherwise my joke won't work)
What's a hangman spreadsheet? That was way too confusing so I made a spreadsheet two roulettes ago and have been amending and expanding it each time.
I have this python script Lucas made
Since I've been working from home for a while now I have lots of time to listen, otherwise this much music would be pretty tough.i've been working from home too but
Can I play?
All are welcome, even TAC.
I'll join.
I’ll play if you’re up for pretty much whatever (I should be able to avoid Prog metal pretty easily).
BANNED LIST
Note: Even though majority of these are groups that I like, not all of them are. This is a list of groups I've heard enough material from to feel like I've made up my mind on their music one way or the other. And as I said, it leans heavily towards progressive metal, but don't use that as a guide because it will lead you astray.Quote!T.O.O.H.!

The spreadsheet is pretty useless without submissions.
Just sayin'.
I love this format so hooray Rich the Trendsetter :tup I was also gonna take a roulette break but this is very fun.

You should take a break from running them. ;D
I love this format so hooray Rich the Trendsetter :tup I was also gonna take a roulette break but this is very fun.Hmm, I'm a little sad my Concept Album or Greatest Hits album trend didn't catch on as well...
This is basically the same as a "greatest hits" album except we only have to pick out less than 20 minutes of music :PAh, so they took my idea and streamlined it. I'm OK with that :tup
I would totally play in a concept album roulette depending on the rulesI've thought about making a roulette without a banned list where the scoring is based entirely on how well you can make an interesting story and make it flow well. All artists can be used.

Kind of like making me see artists I know in a new light.
I'll be sending sometime today, I have a few options to consider. Since this is my first Shadow Ninja roulette, I'm still entertaining the idea of just sending my favorite artists across various genres until something clicks, if any of them do.I'm in the same boat as you. We bail out water together when we inevitably start sinking
At least you won’t get sued now for age discrimination.
Look at all those slackers who haven't sent for Round 3.
Damn it Elite and Sacul! Send for Round 2 already!
Every time I've gone to try to get submissions together for this roulette I get distracted.
Quick question for Shadow Ninja. What kind of equipment are you listening to these submissions on?
Only reason I ask, is if you are listening on some cheap Headphones/Earbuds/Airpods (yes Apple's Airpods are cheap(ly built) and sound like shit, as do all of their imitators......I will die on this hill) or cheap PC speakers a lot of the subtlety of some of the stuff I want to send would be lost. Not judging if you are listening on cheap equipment, just curious.
So at the very least, they are decent headphones. OK. I'll be sending in a few minutes.Quick question for Shadow Ninja. What kind of equipment are you listening to these submissions on?

I've got a pair of Sennheiser something-or-others that I do all of my listening on.
I didn't mention that I only listen with them off my head, ten feet away with the volume turned all the way up. That's how you get the really good frequencies.Gotta love that distortion!
Going hard on some future rounds with some very Katt-ish submissions but choices I either haven't sent or have only sent once before. Should be fun. Since I don't know Shadow's taste well at all I'm not sweating it too badly :lol
alright so which of you chucklers tried to steal one of my bands for round 1? :cornUm.... maybe me?
I sent a band Cyril doesn't like according to the last banlist of his I sawNot much of an accomplishment
Reminds me of karí or whatever his username was. Wonder what happened to that guy
Sending now.
I'm surprised Converge isn't banned considering Shadow says he's been getting into metalcore recently.Oh just assumed they were banned. This is very interesting then :corn :corn :corn
Nice, results later tonight!
Nice, results later tonight!
I've heard of Converge and I've probably listened to a song or two here and there but I don't really remember much about them.

Yes I know it was you because you're the only other person here who would send the band in particular :lolBring it!
Rhetorical question since I sent a better song set anyways :loser:

Actually there’s an extra space in there, so I guess that’s not it.

I try not to be confrontational (HA!) but if Walrus, Wolfie and ESPECIALLY TAC haven't gotten mine by now, they should take zeros for the round. Embarrassing, really.

7?
15: Björk fronting a metal band?
Haha, I can see that now. Could be a couple others of those too though.
Did someone say first impressions??
1: This has elements of what I dislike about [insert genre], but it might be musically adventurous enough to make up for it
2: Nothing technically wrong or bad, but it's leaving me kind of cold
8: The clean vocal melodies seem lacking
9: Pretty much every part of this is working for me
10: I love a lot of the music but the vocal lines feel uninspired
11: Vocals really let down some pretty groovy music
12: This is a strange mix of styles that melds together really well
13: Energetic and pretty varied
I have a suspicion mine might be 2, 10, or 11, but I’m pulling for 13.
14 for lady Enya?

Not saying all are equally likely, but any of these could be. I would bet on 1, 2, or 11. Outside shot of 13.
15 is so clearly mine
2 or 10 I guess
Fernando is not a dynamic singer for sure, but I do think he has a nice warm voice that suits his style.

Look man, all I'm saying is that at the end of New Noise, the guy definitely screams 'thank you bean' like 15 times in a row.
since I've decided to eschew decimals and since it's basically unheard of for someone to send me a song I actively dislike
OK all impressions are now revealed, and results should be coming sometime tonight, in local shadow ninja time.I've done that sort of thing before (trying to make scoring more relative rather than absolute) but I distinctly made the scores out of a number other than 10, because I find it impossible to score things out of 10 differently to how I'd simply rate how much I like them in absolute terms.
Also a note on scoring: since I've decided to eschew decimals and since it's basically unheard of for someone to send me a song I actively dislike, I'm going to be using the scoring scale more liberally. So some of these scores may appear pretty vicious on first glance, but they're really not. For instance, a 5 in most other roulettes would be brutal, but here a 5 is just something I like aspects of but am not crazy about the whole thing.
ALL THAT TO SAY don't worry if your submission gets a low score, because there's much less difference between a 6 and 9 than you might think and it should be easy to recover (or do the opposite of recover).
my "out of 5" scoring system is an attempt to ensure the whole range of "thing i dislike" is scored equally because 95% of the time i don't use scores below 5/10 anyways and it essentially means a 0/10 and 4.75/10 are equalIt's never felt inconsistent to me, but only you can actually judge that as only you really know how much you've enjoyed each submission. :lol
i think it's kind of bent a little bit to the point where i feel like i've started giving like, 4.5ish/10's a score of 1 instead of 0 and some 6.75ish songs a 3 instead of a 2 (or well the reverse-scoring equivalent in my current roulette) but i've mostly kept it consistent i feel?

That said if Buddy and Sacul really want to go the shitpost route, I will breach the number line and start using negative values.
i'm not gonna send gwen stefani but this song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esyqRcEFDVI) is genuinely great
That said if Buddy and Sacul really want to go the shitpost route, I will breach the number line and start using negative values.
No worries, I'm not here to shitpost... at least for my actual submissions. If you do give me a negative number know that it was a complete accident. :lol
After checking out Arcane Roots, I am not going to do well in this roulette. :loli think you say something akin to this in every roulette
Arcane Roots Does It Again™
I can accept that score, anywho :metal
I would also agree that Reuptake is better than The Devil You Know. Unfortunately, I only had 20 minutes.
I was considering swapping out one of my songs for Low and Beholden, which is also really damn excellent. Probably #4 on the album for me. But it's an incredibly good album.
the clean vox are great tho ur objectively wrong lul
Come back to me, come back to me~
So happy you like that song. That song brings me to tears and I have a hard time listening to that album these days. I revisited Dark Sky Island recently because I got the sheet music for the album, and it's just a magical song. You would like the whole record if you enjoyed that song so much.
You'll have my submission tomorrow. Loads of choices to pick from.
Oh, and guys...
YOU ONLY HAVE THREE DAYS, MWAHAHAHAHA!~
After checking out Arcane Roots, I am not going to do well in this roulette. :lol
I sent Gothic Death style Metal for Round 2..
Awe man, couldn’t beat out Kiss! ;-) I’ll make a mental note that you don’t care for the vintage synth sounds. I almost sent something else for the last song, but figured I’d try a curveball and that one always makes me smile. Different strokes.
Sending something totally different shortly.
Wow I don't think I ever got a 10 :) they are really great band. I know 2 of their albums and 1 EP (and I tink they haveca few EPs more) and I like every song
Oh yeah :) I'm glad you liked them that much :tupWow I don't think I ever got a 10 :) they are really great band. I know 2 of their albums and 1 EP (and I tink they haveca few EPs more) and I like every song
You got 2 10s in my first roulette!! Tom Waits - Closing Time and Eye In The Sky by Alan Parsons are two of the best things I've ever been sent on DTF.
Oh god I'm having a very rough time cutting down to 20 mins :lolI was struggling as well, had to just be brutal and pick a few favourites that give enough of a flavour.
Sent. Unpredictably predictable.
FYI, the vocals on "Only You" are mainly Gene Simmons, up to the "I can't believe this is true..." bridge, which is Paul. Both sing the outro chorus. "Under The Rose" is all Gene Simmons (except for the choral). The vocals on "Shout Mercy" are Paul Stanley.
This is a lot of detail for a round that scored a four. ;) :) :) :)
yeah i had to make some painful decisions putting together my playlists tbh
i'm curious which of the other 8 of my playlists shadow picked this time (he told me he picked actor observer last time simply because they were already sent in the round - don't tell me which one you picked until hangman tho btw i wanna be in suspense too :corn)

Is Paul Stanley generally the main singer? I like his style honestly, I could listen to an album of him.
Is that Talk Talk?
Another Head for HydraMe too :lol and I think it will, SN likes this still better, at least I think so...
that'd be Tomi. Hope that band does better in this roulette than it did in mine. :lol
Converge?
And likely the 3 worst Deep Purple songs. :lolLoL, so he sent Breakfast in Bed, Whatshername, and One Man's Meat

He did send Lick It Up. Beware for an embedded KISS song in every round going forward. ;D
No One Came, which is actually a good song, and NOT a reprise of One Man's Meat.

DUDE!!!!!!!! You're reading my mail! I love that song; I LOVE it. I think the main riff is excellent, and that second riff that Blackmore plays at the end - da-DAT, da-DAT, da-DA-da-da - is really cool. Musically, it's one of the better songs on that record; BUT.... worst title in the catalogue. I'll sing along with this song and I refuse to sing the title. I was listening to this over the weekend and I almost started a thread about "bad song titles", I kid you not! And the funny thing is - not that the rest of the lyrics are Shakespeare, but - the title doesn't even make sense with the rest of the lyrics!
By the way, One Man's Meat isn't as bad as the title suggests, though at one point, he DOES mean exactly what you're thinking.

Portishead. Sacul?I wish, damn. Mysterons, Glory Box, Roads, Sour Times. Cool selection, although I'd have prob included something from their other two albums.
TAC: Tribulation
Mithras - When The Stars Align, Howling of the Distant Spaces, On Strange LoopsSent by Cyril?
Anamanaguchi - Endless Fantasy sent by BuddyI'm sure someone guessed Buddy already. If it's not him, then probably Sacul.

Well, these are only first impressions. There's always room for songs to grow on me. In fact, that's already happened several times on this round, although I won't say which submissions they were.

Nope. I think you'll see what I'm referring to when results happen though.

Well, I liked all of them. I should probably note though that the order within a point score doesn't indicate preference. All 8s are pretty much equal. (now I really won't be forgiven)

This is a really interesting submission, and I think is probably one of the ones that grew on me the most. At first it didn’t make much of an impression on me, maybe because a lot of it is really understated, but further listens really brought out a ton of depth that wasn’t immediately apparent (to me, at least). What I love is how restrained and subtle a lot it is; there’s a burst of acoustic guitar, here’s a trumpet, but don’t let them overstay their welcome, now they’re gone. There are tons of little licks and sounds that hide in the background. Steve Hogarth (I’m convinced it’s him) does a great job with the vocals, but he’s not oversinging and he’s not anywhere he doesn’t need to be. The drumming is tight but doesn’t draw attention to itself. The keyboarding in Wealth is just beautifully subtle all the way through.
The only real issues here are that I think Wealth goes on maybe a little too long, and just when Happiness is Easy seems like it’s going to go into a great chorus, those damn kids show up and start singing. I’m sure they’re nice kids, but they can’t sing at all. Get ‘em outta here.

I’m glad it grew on you. They are not an immediate band, which is one of the reasons I love them. They reward repeated listens. I think both of your criticisms in the last paragraph are fair. I like what the children’s choir adds as far as the overall message of the song, and I just tend to think of it as another unique sound in the pallet (like with the trumpets or organs or whatever). But I can see how they might be a little off putting. Happiness is Easy is the first Talk Talk song I heard (apart from It’s My Life), and it might still be my favorite. That bass line/rhythm is so cool. Wealth is a little long and I was hesitant to send it for that reason. It’s a mood piece and also the conclusion of a challenging album (Spirit of Eden) so in that context it’s perfect and I wouldn’t cut it down at all. But as a stand-alone song without context it does go on. All I will add is that I have drifted off to sleep several times while listening to it, and that’s actually a really nice experience. It has a very calming effect.
Mark Hollis does have a tremendous voice. It’s an instrument as much as anything, and in some ways it doesn’t need words. But some of the words in these songs are really moving. He was a brilliant singer and writer who accomplished what he wanted to in a few albums then called it a day to have a normal family life (from what I can tell). He left at the height of his creative output, and unfortunately died young, but there’s a completeness about the Talk Talk catalog that I love because of that decision.
Will send round 3 in a little bit.
Wow! I'm really surprised you don't listen to anything like that. When I was picking out artists, as soon as I heard Half Light, I thought, "Damn, I bet Shadow would like this a lot." I'm glad I checked in on that album just in time to send some of the songs to you  You'll have my round 3 tomorrow, I'll be spending tonight narrowing down my options based on the results.
Well I expected a little more tbh but I'll take it. Yeah you'd probably love Axe to Fall, the production on that record is insane :metal
Although I'm glad Talk Talk and Anamanaguchi scored well, 5 points for Portishead is not forgivable though >:(
@SN recommend me an alchemist album alsoI'd recommend either Spiritech or Organasm. Although I don't think you would like the band that much... I never thought those 2 bands sounded alike. :dunno:
Doing great so far :lol
Someone sent me that Julia song in my roulette, it was alright but that's about it.
I'll send something that would definitely warrant at least a 5 this evening.
Wow, I think this is by far the worst score I ever got for sending Obsidian Kingdom
@SN recommend me an alchemist album also
... if your goal was to impress me with Blackmore, you can consider this a success.
All right gentlemen, I've currently got two thirds of the submissions in. There's no rush since you've got until tomorrow afternoon to send, but if I get all the submissions in today I can start listening tomorrow, which may get us back on track for Saturday being result day.

the album cover makes me curious tho it looks like it might be neat but also 76 Minutes Lolupdate: this is garbage, none of the individual tracks are even in sync (the vocals are always slightly early, the bass falls out of sync regularly), the production is an utter mess, the synth strings sound hilariously cheap, aaugh i could only make it through one track lol

Yeah could be something like that. You definitely need to be listening in that month/in the last month/however it works in order to be counted. Don't you need to like, listen one month and listen again next month to be considered a monthly listener? Showing up on there for just listening once doesn't seem right. Tried listening to a band with 13 monthly listeners (that I haven't listened to on Spotify recently) to see if it would go up to 14 but it's not happening yet. Though I guess it could just take some time to update.

I guess the Devy screams could be Black Peaks? I don't think they do sound especially similar, but I can see how that could be a first impression.

amusingly i know every song off dacul's sufjan disc since i've been sent two of the four, one's off planetarium, and i already knew chicago from elsewhere
based on my current trajectory i'm expecting a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0 in the next six rounds
Hackett is definitely more of a composer than a flashy performer, which is one reason I think those early solo albums of his hold up well decades later. But not even the great Richie Haven could salvage this one I guess.
Something different coming your way soon.
Damn, coulda gotten a 9 if it weren't for Dusk. Oh well, good enough. :) Definitely give that album a try, there's not much dubstep stuff on it except for a couple songs.
I'd also recommend the second VOLA album, it's a lot less djent-heavy than the first.
Blood Music is indeed a banger, and I can see the other two not being as impactful to someone. Maybe Mosaic would've worked better instead.
I sent... well, a band.

Hell yeah, glad you loved Sufjan! His music is so gorgeous even when it's the most dark and tragic. He's releasing a new album soon and I'm hyped :metalamerica was good (and the b-side was even better? even tho it's not gonna be on the album? crazy man) but the song he put out the other day is hot garbage lol
Hmmm..... so going the non metal route didn't work either. :lol
I sent two non-metal entries and got a 5 each time. I sent a metal entry and got a 7. :lol
I just sent another non-metal entry so I guess I'm getting a 5 again.
Now I'm getting excited about doing statistics on this. :lol
Holy shit! The reason the singer from Agent Fresco sounds so much like Arnor Dan is because he is Arnor Dan! What a world.
Okay these thread titles have gone too far :lolI keep struggling to find the thread. :lol

The 80s have a really distinct style of production, that huge, echoing sound, and I really love that when it’s done well. I’m not totally sure all these songs are from the 80s, but at the very least they sound exactly like the 80s. The instrumentation feels really rich, there are lots of synths, strings, a trumpet somewhere I think, and there’s a ton of variation both between songs and within each song itself. The vocalist has an incredibly smooth voice and an impressive vocal range (if the singer on Goodnight Song is the same as on the other songs? I’m honestly not sure). Woman in Chains is my favorite song here, but they’re all a real pleasure to listen to.
Hah! A good score.

Woooo! Glad you liked this. Two of the songs are from 1989’s The Seeds of Love (Woman in Chains and Famous Last Words), but the other two are actually from the 90s. But they’re an 80s band at heart. Those four songs are all sung by Roland Orzebal, although Curt Smith also handles some lead vocals for them (and sounds almost identical, but Roland has a stronger voice). Roland is a really great singer and songwriter who maybe doesn’t get as much recognition as he deserves (unfortunately hasn’t released much music in the last 20+ years though).
The Seeds of Love is a really great album, one of my favorites by anyone. Extremely diverse with super high production values and just really great songs. Definitely one of those albums everyone should have in their collection IMO. They just announced a super deluxe reissue that’s remixed by Steven Wilson. I’m not sure what he can possibly do to improve on the original though.
I'm sort of at a loss of where to go from here. Hmm. Tears for Fears is definitely something I could have sent, so missed opportunity there.
Glad to see Tears for Fears getting such a high score, even if I'm not familiar with those particular tracks.
white ward are really good but i did not like their second album nearly as much
You have nothing to say about SN giving Scarlet Stories a FOUR?I mean I obviously completely disagree, but his scoring system is based on using the full range of scores so it's more of a relative score. From his description of it, it's more in in range of what I would have given 7-7.5 in my roulettes. Which again I think they're much better than that but, you know, TASTES.
Oh nice, I didn't really know what you'd think of Bizali - you didn't really send me anything funky like that in my roulette so I wasn't sure how well that kind of mood would sit with you, but I'm delighted you liked it so much and I agree Blythe's vocals are absolutely what make the music so great (I also think the bass is the other highlight and provides so much of the groove).
Not sure where to go next, will have a think.
Are you sure??
i'm not sure what you guys expected from the guy who historically always performs super inconsistently in roulettes

I wasn’t totally sold on the vocalist when I first listened to this, but he’s grown on me a bit since then. I still don’t think his voice is super strong, but in the more upbeat, harmony-laden sections (which is most of the music here) it works really well. The parts where he’s not multitracked (verses of Steady With You, most of When the Highway Ends) I think his weaknesses are more apparent and I don’t enjoy those bits as much. In terms of the music, pretty much all of the songs have a really rich, energetic warmth to them that compliments the vocals. Cyril

@TAC why the everloving frick would i sent palehorse. i'd just send amendfoil insteadSo I hadn't realised this had happened to them, but what exactly is the point of this debut Palehorse album? Every single song is a only-very-slightly reworked version of a song from the last Amendfoil album, with slightly thinner production, in a different order.
i think they got signed to a label but i genuinely don't understand why the label wanted them to do any of that yeah. the amendfoil version sounds so much better lolI dunno about "so much" better, the sound here is fine, but yeah I do prefer the deeper, fuller sound of the Amendfoil album, plus it has an extra song at the end that's slower and moodier and gives the album a nice balance. Such a weird decision.

w-wait the palehorse version removes silver linings? one of the best songs on the album? jesus christ what a disasterFrom a record label perspective it makes sense to remove that song, since it's the only one that doesn't sound like the others. So stylistically I actually like this kind of bluesy southern rock, it’s got a fun sort of swagger to it. Unfortunately, the vocalist is just really not working for me at all. His voice doesn’t seem strong enough to carry the songs, especially on Kalypso. I’m not sure if it’s the same singer on These Sudden Stars, but if it is, there the combination of him with the female singer actually works really well, and a lot of the harmonies in the chorus are absolutely lovely.
Okay so 1) apparently I should've sent kpop in all rounds and 2) I thought there were only 8 rounds so I don't have anything prepared :lol

This has got all of the over-the-top elements you expect in power metal, but they don’t seem to work as well as your other power metal submissions. Both the synth driven instrumental sections and the choir-esque vocals feel a bit obligatory but not particularly engaging. The vocalist is quite good, but apart from the chorus of Expedition, most of the melodies don’t do too much for me. None of it is bad, but not much of it sticks with me either.

This band is an interesting mix of some more straight-forward metal/hard rock with a number of extreme metal elements. The vocalist is the real attraction here; he’s got a really powerful mid-range yell, but he handles the screams really well too. I think the band is at their best when he’s really belting out choruses, like in Dead Wrong or Darken Waters. Dead Wrong is also where I think they use all the disparate elements of their sound to the best effect, and they tend to lose me a bit in some parts of the other songs, although the vocalist is always impressive regardless.

Who's laughing now? :neverusethis:
Yeah, I can see what you mean. I'm hoping that after the first round it'll be pretty easy because I'll have established a baseline for what each number means.my "out of 5" scoring system is an attempt to ensure the whole range of "thing i dislike" is scored equally because 95% of the time i don't use scores below 5/10 anyways and it essentially means a 0/10 and 4.75/10 are equal
i think it's kind of bent a little bit to the point where i feel like i've started giving like, 4.5ish/10's a score of 1 instead of 0 and some 6.75ish songs a 3 instead of a 2 (or well the reverse-scoring equivalent in my current roulette) but i've mostly kept it consistent i feel?
Yeah, that's sort of what I was thinking. It didn't make sense to have a scale that I never even touch the bottom half of. There are hardly any songs I've ever heard that I would rate as 1 in absolute terms, honestly. Maybe that song that was getting played back when I still listened to the radio that just said 'like a g6' over and over for three minutes? That was pretty bad. Or something with Gwen Stefani. Note to participants, don't send Gwen Stefani.
That said if Buddy and Sacul really want to go the shitpost route, I will breach the number line and start using negative values.
Dvne
If Shadow Ninja doesn't feel ways listening to those songs then he truly has no soul or heart
Did I send Dvne?
Did I send Poppy without realizing it?
Buddy imma stop you right there we are not gonna make that a thingI don't get it.....Isn't that just an album cover of a The Caretaker album?
the album is trying to simulate the experience of dementia or something so he's using it as shorthand for "you're getting old and losing your memories"I see
it's a funny joke but i also hate it :P
Did I send Poppy without realizing it?

I think I said before that we're pretty much musical opposites. :lolWhich would make us basically musical opposites as well. And judging by my score, that's most likely true. :lol

These guys have a really interesting sound. There’s a very 80s-pop feeling to the instruments and production on Lucille and Appetite, but the song construction and vocal style feels new wave-y to me. The two acoustic songs are naturally a bit more stripped back but still feel pretty unconventional in the way the instruments interact, and the singer’s style is pretty different but still works quite well. and then Ineffable is a totally different, orchestral kind of piece. I’m not totally sure how well it works with the other songs, but on its own it’s a nice bit of music.

And thank you to everyone for participating! I have greatly enjoyed having each of you in my roulette, and you've given me a lot of music to ponder for the next few years until I do another one of these.
:lol Crypt Sermon are thrash metal?!?! Haha thanks for having me.
Whoooo I even moved up on the scoreboard!
Thanks for running this!

Yeah, crap on the production all you want but those vocals aren't thin.
Hey, I’m glad you liked this! Prefab Sprout are another band that Steve Hogarth has touted in the past as an influence. Particularly the album Steve McQueen, which is what all of these are taken from (except the last instrumental track). I’ve been aware of them for years but only really checked them out this past year. They are pretty much in that same vein of 80s new wave/power pop as XTC and Tears for Fears but with a fairly unique twist.
Truthfully Steve McQueen (it was released under the name Two Wheels Good in the US due to legal reasons) is the one album of theirs that has really grabbed me, but it is phenomenal. The two acoustic tracks are from an all acoustic version of the album that was released in 2007 I think. Definitely worth checking out both the original Steve McQueen album from the 80s and the acoustic version if you can find it.
In the end, I probably shouldn’t have sent some of the stuff I had a feeling you might not like in favor of more 80s pop/new wave stuff! But thanks for hosting this and having me!
Also, congratulations Rich!
