I only know their hits, but Marie Fredriksson had quite a stunning voice.
If you listened to the radio in the late 80's/early 90's, you know songs like The Look, Joyride and Fading Like a Flower (my favorite), and if you've seen Pretty Woman, you know It Must Have Been Love.
She has passed away at 61. R.I.P.

I saw Roxette in a radio festival.
Was pleasantly surprised how entertaining they were but how powerful her voice was.
R.I.P.

I saw Roxette in a radio festival.
Of course you did. :lol :P

They were big when I was in jr high. I liked their hits.

17 years with the disease. Awful. I too knew just the hits, it's so bad that whenever I'll listen Sleeping in My Car again I'll remember this unfair loss (no one deserves that horrible disease).

I had Roxette in music roulette I was participating in. RIP, I listened to the album Joyride a lot in my pre hard rock & metal days. She did have a great voice.

Roxette was masterfully done pop-rock, and a big part of that was Marie Fredriksson.
She was one of the golden voices of the 80's, and i'm never afraid to say i enjoy Roxette! :metal
Rest In Peace :(

Wow, too young to go. I also loved Roxette's hits. It Must Have Been Love is just a perfect ballad and her voice is just stunning.
Opeth actually covered a solo track of hers on the Watershed special edition that Mikael sung in Swedish. It was 'Den ständiga resan'.

I had a soft spot for their early hits when I was in grade school and jr high in the mid-late 80's/early 90's.
very sad she lived with brain cancer for 17 years. I just was diagnosed with Diabetes, but can't even imagine that.
RIP Marie.
also it was pointed on Facebook, out how Kevin Gilbert actually worked with Roxette/played some keys on a few of their tracks which I had no idea.

RIP Marie Fredriksson :heart
-
A star. :heart always loved her voice and their music.
-
R.I.P. She had a very good voice.
Crash Boom Bang is great, easily my favorite song by Roxette.

Out of the immediately-not-obvious hit songs, I always had a soft spot for You Don't Understand Me, such a tender and moving ballad.
