Keanu Reeves Tactical Training for John Wick 3 with Vigilance Elite
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=F-WyWK8ypdg
:metal
Can't wait for this movie.
-
Watching the training video for John Wick 2 is what inspired me to take up target shooting. Mad respect to reeves for the amount of time and effort he put in.
I can't wait for John wick 3
-
He not only does that tactical training....but he also extensively trains in martial arts and fighting. When you dig into Reeves and start reading about him.....he’s probably one of the most laid back and ‘real’ celebrities out there. Very humble and he gives a ton of money to worthy charities. Probably my ‘favorite’ actor out there....not just based on his movies but more based on how he is as a person.
-
I haven't seen any of these movies, but I plan on it, solely because of my respect and admiration for Reeves.

They are really fun and well executed action movies. With some of the best fight scene choreography I’ve seen in movies. Additionally, they’re visually stunning as well. Not sure what the technical terminology would be but you can see that there is a theme or ‘mood’ that is intentionally rendered into however they produce the ‘look’.
Agree, much respect to Reeves as a human being.

Ah man, you would love them. The first one is almost the perfect action film. And Reeves is perfectly suited to the role.
The second is great fun as well. Really looking forward to the third.

Already got tix for the 17th....me and my brothers going to one of those recliner seat theaters. Can't wait to see how Mr. Wick handles himself in this one.
-
I am so ready for this. Gonna try and see it as soon as I can
-
It was bugging me, so I looked it up. Parabellum (Wiki) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parabellum)
Parabellum is Latin for "prepare for war" and is often used within the context of the phrase Si vis pacem, para bellum, meaning "If you want peace, prepare for war."
-
Which, translated into the story, means for John Wick "kill every single motherfuqer until they finally get the hint that you want to be left alone" :metal
-
Well, they've already announces John Wick 4. May 21st, 2021. https://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/news/john-wick-4-sets-2021-release-date/ar-AABE0u0?li=BBnbfcL

Never had a doubt there’d be a 4th one.....and that was prior to seeing #3. They have a cool franchise going and are simply putting out a great product. That ‘world’ they’ve created around the assassin underground is very interesting. Plus, John Wick himself is just a bad A$$. Jason Bourne....John Rambo....they ain’t got nuthin’ on John Freaking Wick.

Saw this yesterday and I spent as much time laughing as I did gawping at the over-the-top violence. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched the film. Just suffice it to say, if you liked JW2 you'll probably get a charge out of this installment. I've been a fan of Mark Dacascos ever since Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le pacte des loups) and he certainly didn't disappoint in Parabellum! He was hilarious. :lol
-
Loved these for what they are..3 was great...can't wait to see 9.... Fuck yeah!
-
Okay, hearing about how hilarious it is, is not what I expected from John Wick review. I mean I know there are moments of humor, usually very dry and really just there to break the tension for a minute, but are they really going for outright laughs this time? Or is it more laughing about how ridiculous and over-the-top everything is?
-
Oh, it's intense and teeth-grittingly-violent. In fact, I'll bet my reaction to some of the more extreme moments may be my tendency to relieve my anxiety with laughter. However, yes, there are traits of the character Zero (played by Mark Dacascos) that are certainly intentionally funny (and effective). You're right that they are primarily used as sparing moments of relief.
I apologize if my characterization makes the film sound primarily like a comedy. It's not. It's a John Wick film for sure and ticks all the boxes you would expect. It also adds some new thrills to John's legend and greatly expands on the underworld of the assassins' society.
Would watch again.

Most of the laughs we're for over the top violent moments. But there were several legit funny moments that were meant to be funny.

Just saw part 3. It was awesome :metal
Spoilers:
I seriously thought that Winston shot Wick with dummy rounds or something in an attempt to make the Table think he was dead, but apparently not?
-
Ah, so there's a thread for this movie after all. I completely forgot about this. I even posted in it a few times! :lol
It is indeed the funniest of the three so far, but that in no way detracts from the movie. If anything, it adds yet another dimension. I loved how Zero is a total John Wick fanboy. Of course they have to kill each other, but wow, such an honor.

This is my most anticipated movie release of the year :metal

Can't wait!
-
24th March can't come quickly enough. And based on what I read, this is going to be the last John Wick movie for now, until they feel like they have more story to tell.

Aren't they focusing on the TV series and that ballerina spin off deal?

I mean future projects or films with Keanu Reeves

Saw it. It's nuts, in the best possible way. The final hour is just completely bonkers. The best part is the (single take?) over head shot of the Paris complex shootout - that was just amazing.

I believe there is no plan for further John Wick movies…..BUT……with that I did read that Reeves/John Wick would make cameo appearances in these spin off projects.

Seeing it monday

Just saw this…..sounds cool! September of this year.
-
Just saw it. It was fine
I will always really love part one, but at this point I'm definitely feeling franchise fatigue. A lot of parts of 4 just felt like more of the same, but it was decent for what it was.
-
Not quite the cartoon the Fast and the Furious Franchise is, but great action, and a good time. You have to turn your brain off for these movies, and suspend your disbelief. The one take shots were insane.

According to the WSJ, The puppy-loving hitman played by Keanu Reeves says just 380 words in John Wick: Chapter 4, despite the film’s nearly three-hour run time. Reeves himself hacked the dialogue down, the film’s director said, and 27% of the 103 lines spoken by Wick in the final cut are a single word. If reports that the actor was paid $15 million to reprise the role are accurate, that’s $39,473 per word.

"Yeah..."
To be fair to Keanu, he's put a lot of work into that role physically...and the dude has a good reputation with everyone he works with.

Hef would say he was being chatty at that rate.

The videos of his fighting and gun training that are online are a fun watch. I get it.....he really has nothing else to do, I mean....that's his 'job'. But he really dedicated himself to look as 'real' as you possibly can while performing that role so kudos to him.
-
He always sounds like he's in pain whenever he's talking in these movies. Like he's struggling to get words out.
-
Saw it, over the top awesomeness :tup
The last hour or so it's simply amazing
-
I checked out John Wick 4 and it was totally sick! The action scenes were insane, and Keanu Reeves was totally badass as always. I don't want to spoil anything, but there were some unexpected twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
-
The stunts and special effects for the Dragon's Breath rounds were jaw dropping. How did they even do that? :o
-
I actually watched part 1 again last night for the first time in years. Oh my god, I forgot how much I love this movie. It almost felt like a different series then 2,3 and 4.
-
Finally watched part 4 after rewatching the first 3. Easily my least favorite of the 4. The last hour was great but the plot was non-existent. For a 3 hour movie they could have done a better job of explaining and showing John going after the table. Also, did this really need to be 3 hours?
If I had to rank all 4: 1,3,2,4
-
Its my least favorite too. Its like the just gave up on making a good movie :P
That being said I will forever love part one and thoroughly enjoy 2
3 it starts to collapse under the weight of its own universe building, but I enjoy it. But I'll never accept a blind person being an expert marksman. The thing with the door bells was clever to hear people, but that got thrown out almost immediately.
-
This looks like it could be fun

Late to the party - I've finally saw it!
As others have said, it's completely bonkers. Fun, but absurdingly over the top. I think the best way to approach these movies is to imagine they're videogames. You're watching someone very good play the John Wick character and he's so good at it that he manages to kill all the enemies.
I agree with the comments above about franchise fatigue; the first movie was simple and brilliant - retired hitman gets his dog killed and wants revenge. And the second one was ok I guess, he has to honor a previous promise and it ends on a great note - "tell them Winston, whoever comes... I'll kill them. I'll kill them all". That's the premise of the third movie then and there, John Wick vs. Everyone! but then they went deep into the world building instead and the more they explained that world, the more they exposed how absurd and unrealistic it is.
The last hour in Paris was waaaaaay over the top. I mean, where is even the police? shootout around the Arch of Triumph? nobody at Montmartre (even if it's dawn) or at the Trocadero? and John falling out of a three stories building and onto a van and walking off easily, that's why I said it's best to imagine these movies are just videogames played by a pro that manages to get to the end :lol but it was not really worth 3 hours, I watched it over the course of two days actually.

Love all 4 films, but The Continental spinoff show was weak.
