I think it's very easy for me, in the classic sense of the word protagonist - Andy Dufresne from The Shawshank Redemption. Frank Darabont did wonderful things with those characters. Glad to see Logain had the same pick :metal
A lot of main characters in films that I love tend to be hugely flawed and downright despicable. Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange is a great example. I'm not sure if I could call him a protagonist given the context of his actions and character, however.
