I started watching it about 6 month ago after I ran out of virtually every adult animated comedy there is, today I just started season 12.
I'm loving this show so far, I haven't laughed that hard since the old Family Guy days.
Since I've been binging, I couldn't really tell you a favorite season but they've all been consistent so far. 11, which I just finished, had some stuff that had me tearing up from laughter, the Night of The Living Homeless episode is freakin priceless.
A few seasons back there was the episode where Cartman exterminated hippies from people's attics, that had me rolling too :lol
I'll just keep posting about episodes here as I go forward, wish I had done so earlier, but here we go!

I love South Park. I've seen all the episodes and I just love Cartman. Too many good episodes. I've been working all night so my memory is kinda bad right now but some memorable episodes right now that I can think of include the Scott Tenorman Must Die episode, the Casa Bonita episode, and the Raisins episode where Stan becomes a goth kid. It's interesting the past 2 or 3 seasons the entire season is connected instead of small story arcs in the earlier seasons.

I haven't gotten to the point of season-long arcs yet, that doesn't sound too appealing either but I'll see. I don't even like 2-part- or 3-part episodes, I feel like they're not really great at making longer storylines work.

Wow, this is awesome. So happy you're loving it. I've been watching South Park for 20 years, since season 2. I love this show and it always makes me laugh, but it's impossible for me to pick a single favorite episode. There's so many. I think I watch this show more than anything else. I like having TV and films on in the background at home, and South Park is always a contender to be played. I just think it's charming, smart, gross, and hilarious all at once.
The early seasons are rough to me and I can't really watch them anymore. Not their fault - I just don't think the show really found its voice until about season 5, when Jimmy showed up. The brand of South Park humor really got smart around this point while being funnier than ever. Season 6 is the best of the early years to me. The episode where they parody Lord of the Rings with a porn tape is such a classic.
Seasons 7-10 are the golden years to me, not just because a lot of my favorite scenes and dialogue are here, but because they're the most consistently funny. And there are tons of fantastic episodes after this, but there are so many favorite moments from these specifically. Also, the Fishsticks episode is amazing, and any episode with Cartman and Butters as main characters is a guaranteed winner.
The last few seasons have been different. I don't particularly like the serial storytelling and they've dropped the ball on humor in a way that makes it hard to continue watching, but I do because I've grown up with it. This season is at least better than last year's, which just might be my least favorite season of the show.
Hope you enjoy it as you go forward. There are some episodes I really can't stand (Funnybot for example, or A Million Little Fibers) but more often than not there's still hilarious stuff to be found. I'd be curious to know what you think of the show when they reach PC Principal.

Definitely dude. I've been in the habit of putting animated shows on my iPad and watching them in bed, watched the entirety of The Simpsons and King of The Hill that way, and with South Park I've been asked by my wife to either turn it off or leave the bed since she can't sleep from me shaking with laugher :lol

Loved that episode too, anything with Butters is usually gold, just his voice cracks me up heh. Stan's dad also cracks me up pretty hard, that episode when he just went to his kid's baseball games to pick up fights with fathers of the opposite team freakin killed me. Also when he was competing with Bono for biggest crap record. I'm laughing just thinking of it.
I tell you one character I miss though, earlier on there was a kid who'd just give people the finger in the middle of a conversation, just unprompted and unapologetic about it, I wish they kept him around cause that cracked me up to bad.

That's how I am with Family Guy, I still watch the episodes and hardly even smile at anything.
I saw the movie the other day but I didn't like it much, the musical numbers were too much for me. I did get to see Kenny's face so it wasn't a complete loss ;D

The film hasn't aged well in my opinion - I haven't been able to watch it for like 10 years now - but the "Kyle's Mom's A Bitch" song will never not be fun.

Scott Tenorman Must Die and the LotR porn tape episode are definitely my two favorites, but so many classics over the years. One of the still shows that I still usually buy the DVDs of, just to make sure that I have them. My senior year of college I took one of my roommates through the whole series (they were on season 12 at that point) because he had only seen a couple random episodes and he said that so many random running jokes in the locker room (he was a captain of the soccer team) finally made sense because they were South Park references.
The movie is fantastic. Everyone used to come over to my house in high school when we had early dismissal Fridays and we always started the afternoon with a viewing of Bigger Longer Uncut before we got into some videogames. I always love that they got Hetfield to do that one song :lol

People who just say "it's so vulgar" as a reason to not like South Park haven't even watched it, I reckon, cuz most of the episodes show how dumbass parents can be so dumbass and the kids are the ones who are actually the adults of the show.
I really don't get the love for the Scott Tenorman episode, I can't stand it.

I loved the first couple of seasons....after that it got to be too much for my tastes.
After I had been gone for awhile, I turned it back on one day just to see what they were up to.....and it was the "dog milking" episode.
Cartman masterbating a dog is a level of "OMG PLEASE GIVE ME EYE BLEACH" that I haven't experienced since my son was a victim of the lemonparty prank in junior high.

That's awesome. I remember several shaky episodes after season 12, but season 17 still has lots of good stuff. You won't hit the Simpsons-style slow down for a few more seasons. I love that you've been enjoying it so much since season 5, which is definitely when it took off.

It was funny. But not more than the movie. Honestly, they need to move off Randy for a bit. I love Randy but the show has kind of become The Randy Show the last few years and it’s wearing thin. But overall it was cute.

The Pandemic Special was almost too much for me and I can handle a lot from South Park. I think it's the bestiality stuff that got to me but I did love how "The Pandemic Special" had different levels to it and also the unqualified teacher thing was great since my wife is a teacher and it's relatable.
I can still watch the BLU movie and not get bored of it. It has my all-time favourite burn "I don't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die."

I remembering reading about how the episode titled "Season Finale", which was only the 5th episode of this last season, was gonna be the last time we get a Tegridy farm-centeric plot. They did lay it off until the end of the season, but then this special brought it back. But I think it worked how they used it in the special though.

Yeah I pretty much want them to back away from Randy a bit, I don't know if they're gonna go as far as having the family move back to the city and abandon Tegridy Farms all together, but Stan has been complaining about it almost as much as the fan base so that could be a way out.

I can't blame you on the bestiality thing. To me, the animation is just too sloppy for me to have a serious sickened reaction to it.

I was watching the Jonas Brothers episode with Mickey Mouse last night and when they parody the JB songs with "Bay-bay~" it always bothered me what that sounded like. But I finally made the connection. It sounds like Bon Jovi singing "you give love a bah-yud name in Shot Through The Heart :lol

Dude it beats me how Disney never thought to sue them over their depiction of Mickey, my kids were watching some Club House the other day and I just couldn't help but think of the version from Southpark heh

I thought the Pandemic Special was better as well, but I loved seeing all the old characters in the latest one.
I'm beginning to wonder if South Park is going to go the way of The Grand Tour and just do a number of lengthy specials each year instead of traditional seasons.
