You can vote for up to 7.
I will go with:
Gimme Shelter
Paint It Black
Can't You Hear Me Knocking
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
Wild Horses
19th Nervous Breakdown
Tumbling Dice
-
I only voted for Paint it Black. It's the only Rolling Stones song I ever enjoyed.
-
My top 5 RS songs:
It's Only Rock and Roll
Satisfaction
Gimme Shelter
Paint It Black
Can't You Hear Me Knocking
from there it got a little tougher, but these two rise above the rest:
Brown Sugar
Honky Tonk Women
I have said on this forum before that I would take a greatest hits CD of the Stones and match it up to that of any other band. Maybe they haven't released anything worthwhile since 1978, maybe they don't have a landmark album like Sgt Pepper or Dark Side of the Moon, maybe all their albums contain filler. But their hits are as good as anything any rock band has ever released.
-
It might not be quite as worshipped as Dark Side and Sgt Pepper (few album are), but Sticky Fingers is a major classic with zero filler. I don't listen to the Stones very often, but I can throw that album on and enjoy the hell out of every song. And I know that Let It Bleed and Exile on Main Street are considered major classics as well (although I personally find both of those a little spotty).
-
Sympathy for the Devil
Nothing else
-
Damn, really hard to pick only 7 from one of my very favourite bands ever.
Paint It Black
Let's Spend The Night Together
Waiting On A Friend
Ruby Tuesday
Jumpin' Jack Flash (my #1 song of theirs)
Under My Thumb
19th Nervous Breakdown

Yeah Sticky Fingers is by far their best album. Don’t care much for their other classic albums save for a few songs.

I never understood why You Can’t Always Get What You Want is such a popular song. It’s one of the most boring/uninteresting classic rock songs I’ve ever heard and I’ve heard hundreds of classic rock songs.
-
Gimme Shelter (one of the best live tunes ever, with the right lady singer)
Sympathy for the Devil
Paint It Black
Honky Tonk Women
Brown Sugar
Jumping Jack Flash
Angie
I've been told She's a Rainbow was a top 5 favourite lullaby of mine as a baby.
-
I know too little of Rolling Stones, but the songs I know are all among my favorites in the genre.
Sympathy for the Devil
Gimme Shelter
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Miss You

It's catchy as heck, and the chorus is very easy to sing along and relate to. I get why it is so popular, even if I myself have never been that wild about it.
-
Play with fire is my favorite RS song. Short, sweet and deep.
-
I’m in the minority here, but I never liked “Paint it Black”, I find it very annoying and difficult to listen to.

It's pretty high on my list of 'Critically acclaimed and wildly popular classic rock songs by bands I am a fan of' that I don't like at all. It's too long and that opening choir bit just.... I can't explain... I don't like it.
-
I rarely ever list them as one of my top three or four favorite bands, but in reality they are. I have, over the years, collected every single album (it's over 50 now) by them, and I find that for the most part I enjoy something from every era (even the recent stuff).
For this offering:
Sympathy For The Devil (one of those songs you have to see live)
Start Me Up (that INTRO!)
Angie
Gimme Shelter (one of my favorite songs of all time, by any band, ever)
Jumpin' Jack Flash
Street Fighting Man (check out Oasis' cover)
I'd add:
Monkey Man,
One Hit To The Body
Under My Thumb
Emotional Rescue (I love that song)
Two things come to mind: One, Jagger is his own worst enemy; he's a REALLY good singer, and he's one of the very few vocalists that have never had any serious problems, or significant change of tone (even McCartney is starting to sound his age; listen to his new single). If it wasn't for his nonsense, he'd have a lot more respect as a musician. He IS the Stones, even if Keef gets credit for that more often than not. Two, they were dark as fuck. I get it, "Alice In Chains. Dirt." Forget that; there's some stuff, especially in that Beggars Banquet - It's Only Rock'n'Roll run, that is bleak, man. Really bleak.
Oh, trivia: the video for "Waiting On A Friend" was shot on the stoop of the same building that was the cover of Physical Graffiti, in New York City.

I went with Satisfaction, Start Me Up and Ruby Tuesday, but those are mostly votes for songs I can tolerate. The only Stones song that I really "like" is She's a Rainbow. Just never have found the Stones appealing.
-
The Stones are a weird one. I generally detest them, but they've cranked out 2, and damn near 3 perfect songs.
Gimme Shelter
Can't Ya Hear me Knocking
Paint it Black
And I'd add Monkey Man, which suffers only from being too short.
-
I forgot one...
Schoolboy Blues.
