Title: Connection Myrkur to Epica to VUUR ??? (Help wanted)
Post by: SwedishGoose on May 13, 2018, 02:08:21 PM
Hi,

Can anyone here help me with this hint I was given by a promotor on an additional band.

It will probably not be something obvious like Oceans of Slumber who toured with Myrkur and Epica and wants to tour with VUUR.

Rather along the lines of some guest musician or a producer or something leading to another band.

I'm not aware of any connection. Even among the plethora of guest musicians that Myrkur has used over the years.

Well:

All 3 are female-fronted metal bands. Epica and VUUR are both from the Netherlands.
Marcelo Bovio worked with both VUUR and Epica. Didn't see anything with Myrkur.
Joost van den Boek produced VUUR's album and a couple Epica albums. Didn't see anything with Myrkur.
All 3 released something in Fall 2017...but that's a stretch.

I didn't see anything else.

Great info.... thanks

For some reason (an earlier hint)
I think it would be a swedish band...

Now Opeth had Myrkur as support but how would I get to VUUR via Epica on that?

Ok... the context is this

The promotor has booked 4 bands for a one day festival

VUUR
iamthemorning
Anneke van Giersbergen
Merit Hemmingsson

But apparently he has also booked a fifth band/artist that I don't know who it is.

I posted on facebook about finding a song by Marjana Semkina (the singer of iamthemorning). An icelandic tune that she had heard Árstidir do.

He replied that the circle was closed as Anneke had worked with Árstidir. And that the fifth booking was also connected via Myrkur to Epica to VUUR.

Hope that made it a bit clearer
