Which one between these 3?
-
Louder Than Love

Badmotorfinger > Ten > Purple

Ten by a country mile.
That's a definitive album of my youth.
-
I'll take Core
-
Not even close.... TEN
And I LOVE Soundgarden. I have more of their material than Pearl Jams. Ten is one of the top 10 albums of all time in my book.

I do want to take a quick moment to say that anyone who hasn't heard the remix of Ultramega OK is really missing out. I always thought that was such an amazing album in its original form, but I knew it also had some flaws in the mix. Listening to the remix was jawdropping. I've never heard (in any genre) such a drastic improvement in an album remix before. Not even Vapor Trails. Not even Enemies of Reality. The remix took something that was definitely a sub-Louder Than Love album, and made it almost LTL's equal.

Yeah, the remix is incredible.
Regarding the poll, I went with Badmotorfinger, which I find to be an incredible record. Top-10 for me.

Interesting about the Ultramega OK remix. Have not heard it. The original was good, but now I'm excited!

As much as I love Soundgarden, Ten gets my vote.

This is hard. Melancholy reminiscience says "Badmotorfinger", since it has resonated so well with me (and I listen to it far more often than the other two) but at the time, Ten dominated. I loved that album, and at the time I did a lot of driving for work, so I would play that and sing along to it all the time. LOVED that album. But Pearl Jam wore thin with me pretty quickly - Vedder's earnestness is tiring at times - and they got away from the Gossard/Ament hard rock roots.
Are we counting "Satanoscillatemymetallicsonatas"? :)

I went with Badmotorfinger but it was close. I love Purple.
-
Badmotorfinger >>>> Ten > Purple
FIFM
Ten is probably the more iconic album, and it is really good, but I just like Soundgarden better.

Man, this poll just reminds me how much I really didn't like that era of music... :-\
Badmotorfinger got my vote since it had Rusty Cage, Outshined and Jesus Christ Pose on it (and Chris Cornell had an amazing voice on him) but it didn't have much competition here. Pearl Jam haven't written a single song that appealed to me and the two and a half Stone Temple Pilot's songs I liked were on the prior album!
