My predictions are wrecked either way since my top 2 were isolation and confrontation but this is a slightly better result than we could've had

Last two songs yeah but Love is not actually that great imo, I'd put it behind school, betrayal, and realization at the very least aside from everything in the top 4

Also I realized. The two songs that most prominently feature akerfeldt are the top 2 here, haha
Maybe scar is rigging the polls :neverusethis:

Voices is a big Akerfeldt song too. I wish it made top 5 atleast. No idea what happened there DTF.

So, you're saying it's ok when Scar tampers with Survivors when it's in your favour, but totally unfair and worthy of a re-count when it's not in your favour.

That's my bad, it's kind of hard behind a computer screen :lol from now on, you can just assume that I'm rarely serious, even less so in the Survivor subforum. I think my DTF persona can be seen as a less serious version of myself

I know right.  It would make sense for there to be some bonus points for picking the top 3 as well as the top 2.  Like, 3 bonus for the top 2, and 5 bonus for the top 3 (regardless of order).  Someone who only predicts the #1 song gets more points than the person who predicts the top 2 or 3 out of order.

But, it ain't my contest.

I remember I addressed the same concern once or twice before, which means the system's balance is probably flawed, but hey, I didn't have a chance to test it before starting this. On the other hand, I do think that guessing the winner of the album Survivor is pretty important, which is why it awards a lot of points.

That's a good idea. I considered that when I was designing it, but then I ended up not implementing it for some reason (I honestly don't remember why now). Perhaps that should've been included.

That being said, I'm obviously not going to change the rules in the middle of the contest. And remember it's all just for a good fun. I mean, yeah, there's a prize on the line and all that, but it's all for fun first and foremost. However, I'm not defending the scoring system, and I probably could've come up with something better.

yeah i get a whole 2 points despite all of my predictions still being in the running up until the top 4 but i got zero placements right and only two songs total right  :corn

and on flight of the migrator i got 4 points instead of 10 just because i had the top two flipped, which was fun
