Next up is Flight of the Migrator Survivor! We have nine songs, and only two of them will proceed to the Finals! A heavier counterpart to The Dream Sequencer, this album is a nice addition to Ayreon huge discography. Let's see how this Survivor will go. It's Round 1 time.

Ditto. Dawn of a Million Souls was my first Ayreon song. Clearly, that is NOT my vote.

I wish the titles on this album were better but it's kind of like that on most ayreon albums

ITEC has most of its songs as locations

This album didn't rank in my Top50, because I really don't care for The Dream Sequencer at all. But The Flight of the Migrator is ALL killer, and zero filler.

From people undecided about such a strong album and that furthermore may be a lot into vocals and therefore not attracted by a song without vocals?

As I said this was my first Ayreon record and I bought it as a single disc. And the Dream Sequencer likewise. Sp I will always regard them and rate them as stand-alone records.

Given they have the same release date, I always treated this as a two-part double album - like Use Your Illusion. I know upon their release, they were issued as separate albums, but I just don't look at them that way. I see them as two halves that make a whole - as was the case when he moved to Inside Out, and re-released them as a single album.

I don't like this one nearly as much as The Dream Sequencer to be honest, listening to it now. Almost nothing of the back half of Flight of the Migrator interests me

I agree. The first half is pretty good (up to Into the Black Hole), but after that it just... stops being interesting.
