Thought I'd share this with you, since I noticed this a while ago yet haven't found anything about it on the internet, despite there being several cool articles about the many nuggets/references within Octavarium.
The reference is the release date of the album (and, of course, the song): 7 June. June being the 6th month of the year, this is the 7th of the 6th, or 6/7. Given that one of the central themes of Octavarium are the numbers 5 and 8, and the numbers between 5 and 8 are (obviously) 6 and 7, this could be another reference as to how we are "trapped inside this Octavarium", so to speak.
I don't know whether this is entirely coincidental or just another reference in Octavarium that has gone unnoticed, but I thought it was really cool so I decided to share it with you.

oh god, not the nuggets. NOT THE NUGGETS!!!!
(you also forgot that the year was 5)
-
TRAPPED. INSIDE. THIS. NUGGETARIUM!!!!!
-
That's pretty cool. Have you also noticed this with the track listing:
The Root Of All Evil
The Answer Lies Within
These Walls
The first three letters make up TTT, so this means DT wants us to take the time to listen to the album.
And if you take the first letter of EVERY song, you get 'tttipnso' . Which is an anagram of Pittston, a city in Pennsylvania. A city with a population of 7,739. Maybe one of the band members lived there at one point and felt trapped (the number 7 indicating the feeling of 'trapped-ness' between 5 and 8.

7+7+3+9=26
2+6=8

These are what I like to call alternative nuggets.

And 'Octavarium' is an anagram of 'Avaticorum', which is so freaking secretive, Google translate can't even translate its Wikipedia page.
-
On the front cover of The Astonishing - there are EIGHT Nomacs.
There are also FIVE Nomac "tracks" on the album.
JOINCIDENCE ? !
-
And the nomacs just make noise, just like the beginning of Ocatavarium! Fucking NUGGETZZ!
-
And Originally the Nomacs on the cover of The Astonishing were all the same size so JP told the artist to "VARY 'EM"
:omg:

Yes.
Also SFAM is album 5 and Octavarium is album 8 = 8 + 5 = 13 . TA was album 13 :dangerwillrobinson:

True, but it's a compound word. The question is how to identify the individual components.
Kinda like how "nowhere" usually means "no where" but could also mean "now here".
Okay, maybe not.

It's Rave N' Skill.
The place is basically a 24/7 glow stick/dubstep party.

Did you know "Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" is a hidden bonus track on The Astonishing? 😂

Eat Sleep Rave Repeat has five syllables and eight vowels. NUGGETS!
-
What's really surprising is that The Astonishing contains all the exact same notes used in Octavarium, just in different places.

Both album titles contain the same number of syllables.

2005 OCTAVARIUM SUBFORUM ALL OVER AGAIN

There were eight tracks on Octavarium and eight characters in the Astonishing, 5/8ths of which were male. :o

What a hack job. The angle on the strings isn't even right.
-
Holy shit guys. "The songbird stops to listen when he sings" Would this songbird happen to be the same one as on the Octavarium album art?

The Astonishing and The root of all evil share the same word, can you guess? :o

Yes sir. You're having a midlife crisis.

I took my dog to the beach, and let him run around in the sand.
That's when I saw James Labrie. He was very angry, he told me 'All dogs need a leash'. I was scared, but I don't think he'd ever hurt me (though he's never said it).

At least you'll forget it. I want to know more, but I'm not gonna ask you today. I don't want to scare you away.

I think I know why there was a no-camera policy at The Astonishing tour. Myung must've tackled JLB again. (They could've incorporated it as part of the story, maybe the 'I am right behind you, bleugh!' part)
-
:lol
This was so funny to read
