"SceneFour uses long-exposure photography and lighted drumsticks to create the work.. A camera captures 30 seconds of the drummer's performance in one frame. Following artistic input from the drummer and some post-production back in the SceneFour studios, the drum movements are enhanced. Each image is heightened by increasing or reducing light, exposing hidden elements within the color channels and controlling the color spectrum to bring out the abstract nature of the work."

Ohhh that is very cool.
I wouldn't give much credit to MM, but the people actually responsible for it are doing great jobs and I'm sure he's happy to have been a part of it.

I inquired on a couple of the art works. I think it'll be out of what I want to spend, but I am curious becaue if the price is good for me, I would love to have one and put it over my desk in my office at home. I just removed the piece of art I had there because I didn't really like it so this would be great.

I don't know if publicly describing pricing is out of bounds for the company or not. They certainly haven't forbidden me from talking about it. $750.00 U.S. is what I paid. Although, as the individual prints move, I would expect the price to go up. That's pretty common with art dealers.
I will say, from my perspective, the one I bought was very reasonably priced! Especially when you consider a modern giclee print, the low run quantity, and being individually signed. I've bought a lot of similar sized art at much higher prices and thought it was a great bargain. To me, this was almost a steal.
That being said, it's just the canvas. I'll need to pay to have it stretched and mounted to an interior frame. If I decide to actually frame it, I could potentially spend another $700.00 :lol

You know what would be cool? If one of the pieces of art would become the skin of Mangini's double bass drums.

I'd love to see MM perform with the illuminated sticks at future concerts. Maybe not a whole show, but one or two songs would be cool.

Yea that could be cool, maybe at least for the drum solo and turn down the lights a bit. Add some lights to the drum set too. Could be visually awesome.

Why stop at the sticks. If you could see each hit by illuminating the piece of kit, that could look really cool. Might be a bit much for a whole concert, but for a song or two it would make for really cool visuals.

The reason I took so long was I had planned to remodel a spare room on the ground floor of the house into a music room/library. I always thought I'd hang it in there once I got around to remodeling. This winter I started the teardown of that room and Mrs. P and I decided what we really wanted was to make that room for formal dining. Once that was decided, I got rid of the hutch (junk collector) that used to be on my desk so I could hang Mangini's painting on that wall.

Musician art, and no one mentioned Ronnie Wood or Paul Stanley. I bought a Paul Stanley back in '08 or so ("Karma") and it hangs in my family room. Other than two originals from a local artist that does historical buildings/structures in my area (I have two), it's my favorite wall hanging in my house.
I like that one that Podaar has. That's very cool.

Um, that's because this thread is about Mike Mangini's art, not musician art in general.
I will say, I like some of Ronnie Wood's work/style, although the subject matter doesn't interest me enough to hang it in my home...let alone pay the price he's asking.
