Anyone here already heard this? Really an interesting EP (around 29 min), from a true prog metal pioneer (also a bit unknown fact). The compositions are very technical but also with a lot of musicality. The vocals are kind of strange, but they had a 80's metal vibe. Ron Jarzombek and the drummer are great, but the bass is really the stand out here. That's how a bass should sound on prog metal! His style is very similar to Randy Coven. For reference, this CD is on MP top 10 of 2016.

Been meaning to check it out, honestly. Apparently this EP was like a decade or more in the making, with lots of starts and stops (at least from what I remember reading).

Go "youtube" it. It's really worth! :tup

it's awesome. Made my Top 33 Albums List for my blog/youtube channel.

Yeah, great EP and the antidote to The Astonishing.
If I'm not mistaken, Watchtower really started that proggy metal thing, while Fates Warning were still under major Maiden influence and Dream Theater just starting out.
Uh... and the singer, Alan Tecchio, was part of an obscure Metal band called Hades. I'd call their album "If At First You Don't Succeed" a classic.

Forgot about this, will definitely check it out.

This thing is like $5 on iTunes for anyone who cares.
Worth it if it gives you at least 30 mins of enjoyment

It's is really cheap on google play too. And it's 320kbps quality. :tup

Whoa, just hearing it for the first time now.
This singer was also on Mike Lepond's Silent Assassins album! I really like his voice, great for metal. He has a great range.
Definitely heavier and tighter playing than I was expecting. Best blind purchase I've made in a while.
