Title: Last Union feat James LaBrie
Post by: SeRoX on December 26, 2016, 04:52:30 PM
Rock band with ex Helloween Uli Kusch, Symphony X bassist Mike LePond and James LaBrie.

They have new album coming out.

This is "President Evil", the first single I assume. Since it published in band's youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EBySmwRaIw

There is another two track include James LaBrie Vocals, "A Place In Heaven" and "Taken". (Taken has 2 different version too)

Maybe, the right place for this thread is general music section. Sorry mods.

I like it.  JLB's singing here sounds more in the vein of his "solo" stuff than with DT which is fine with me.

Cool! Sounds a lot like JLB solo as said above and I like that.

Yeah, sounds like something out of JLB's solo albums.

Sounds great!

I can't help but notice that Speeches is spelt wrong and that went into the final vid. It's spelt Spechees.

Mike Lepond is an amazing bass player and song writer. His solo album "Silent Assassins" sooo very good!
I had no idea he's worked with James Labrie, thanks for the link..

Yes, the band said it on Youtube in the comment section.

I feel they would have done better not putting the lyrics so front and center to the video. They're not the best, it's kinda distracting from the music.

I think the way they are presented is kinda cool.

Sounds very nice. Bit of a shame for their usual singer that the first single is one of the JLB songs that doesn't feature her at all though!

Really like it!  Their other single The Best of Magic is great too, will definitely look out for the album when it's released.

Shit, try finding anyone Mike hasn't worked with, he's got his hands everywhere. Not that that's a bad thing, as you said, he is quite the talent.

Uli Kusch on drums!  :tup Haven't heard him in a while, one of my favourite metal drummers. He was excellent both in Helloween and Masterplan.

The JLB song was cool, but not really digging the chick singer.

Good to see Uli back, he's a beast drummer.  He certainly hasn't had teh best luck after he left Masterplan.

Sounds very nice. Bit of a shame for their usual singer that the first single is one of the JLB songs that doesn't feature her at all though!

That's cause if they didn't, no one would give a shit about the band.  At least JLB might make some people pay more attention.

Yeah, a woman, and like Wolf, I'm not in the least impressed. Very generic sounding voice to me and the tune released with her singing is not great either. I hope for the guys that the two JLB tracks aren't the only good ones on the album.

They need a voice like Floor's or Jorn's ...
