We've been doing this here for years, so let's see if there is interest again.
Rules are simple.
Pick one team to WIN their week one game. If they win, you're still alive and move on to the next week.. If they lose or tie, you're eliminated.
Once you've used a team, you can no longer use them for the duration of the survivor.
Deadline to pick a team is prior to kickoff of their game.
Have fun and good luck.

Always love doing survivor leagues. I'm in with the Seahawks for this week.
-
I'll play this year. I'm rolling with the Packers this week.
-
Looks like a lot of tossups this week IMO.
I'll take a chance on the Giants.
-
If Bridgewater wasn't injured, I would say the Vikings easy.
The Titans are still that far behind the rest of the league that I'm still going to go Vikings.
-
I cannot believe that anyone is opting for a road team in week one. Have we learned anything in years past?
Give me Seattle. Sure, it'd be wise to save them....but getting out of week one is the first step.
-
Seahawks for me.
-
I'll go with Kansas City.
-
Patriots at Cardinals
-
Let's hope it goes better than last year, where everyone was eliminated after Week 2. :lol
-
Seahawks!
-
San Francisco
-
Seattle
-
If not too late, I'll go with the Colts, thank you.
-
seattle
-
Arizona.
-
It was close in the end, but I survive and go on to week two.
-
I'll take a chance on the Giants.
The Cowboys did not let me down.
-
Arizona.
Well, at least I'm not alone. :lol

Word of advice to those picking the Ravens...Josh "I only tear it up against the Ravens" McCown is the starter now, not RG3.
-
Come on Seahawks. If the 49ers were able to shut out the Rams then you should have no problem with them.

Fisher sucks, but his Rams always play Seattle tough. Seattle is 1-3 on the road against the Rams since Fisher became their coach.

First of all, thanks for taking the time and keeping track of this for us.
Week 3 - Miami
-
What the hell, I swore I posted in here taking Baltimore. Oh well :(
-
Let's see, who are the Browns playing this week?
Miami
-
Miami...cause lolBrowns
-
Dallas
-
Miami
-
Cutler out and the Bears look pathetic. I'll take Dallas at home.
-
Yeah, the Bears look (dare I say it) worse than Cleveland.
-
Damn, never checked out this thread. I gotta remember to join next year.
-
Yeah, the Bears look (dare I say it) worse than Cleveland.
Only problem is that every time I play eliminators and pick a game the Bears are in, they fuck me over. I pick them to win, Cutler tosses five INTs in a blowout. I pick their opposition, and the Bears stomp them. It's like a curse. We will see how things go.
-
Damn, never checked out this thread. I gotta remember to join next year.
I missed it too, Tim. However, it usually starts over when everyone is eliminated before mid season. :lol I will try to catch round 2. We're allowed to do that right DoC?
-
At least this year we got to week 3 on the first go around.

Yeah, that was somewhat alarming last year lol

Still debating my pick in my other Survivor league. I've used Seattle and Carolina so far, still on the fence for this week. I see the appeal in picking against the Browns, but the 0-2 Dolphins aren't exactly inspiring. Going back and forth between Miami and taking Pittsburgh.

Miami's the best type of 0-2 you can be. Many were expecting them to be blown out at Seattle and New England, but the made both games respectable. Now this is their first home game against a terrible Cleveland team that is already torn up by injuries. Miami is looking to make a statement, and this game should be over by halftime.
Pittsburgh is a good pick too....but save them. After all, they play Cleveland twice, and will have Bell back for those games.

Well Miami made me sweat it out a bit past halftime, but I'm glad I let this post be the tiebreaker for me :lol
-
Pittsburgh is dealing with a lot of injuries and not a lot of depth. They might be a good pick in a few weeks, but I wouldn't want to pick them short term...and that has nothing to do with the fact that they only managed a FG today.
-
The Browns almost let me down.
-
You mean Miami almost let you down. The Brown's kicker did you a favor. :lol
I LMFAO when he missed that kick. Classic Browns.

Pissed me off. I picked the Browns as a huge underdog.

Sorry Barto. Against Miami, I wouldn't call it huge. Unless, you're just kidding. :lol

I think the Yahoo user numbers were like 98% Miami. I had read up on the game, decided rookie for Cleveland was going to beat the Fins, and was then stunned to see how lopsided the predictions were. I was also the only one to pick them in both of my pick'ems.
-
Wow, numbers-wise that is huge. One of these weeks the Browns will actually defy the odds. The only question is, which week? :lol

Never know...Belachik might have a secret contract with the team that gave him his first HC job that will cause him to throw the game.

Guess that means Denver for me.

It was six years ago and then they didn't lose again until the divisional round against the Jets en route to a 14-2 record.

Redskins.

^
yeah, but I just can't risk it all on the Potatoes...
Cincinnati
-
Yeah, part of me wanted to start going with the Bears opponents. I may do that next week.
-
That seems like a good strategy, as Chicago looks like the worst team in the league right now to me. I think Cleveland isn't as bad as some think, and will finish the season with more wins than teams like Chicago and Miami. One of these weeks they will burn people in Survivor leagues, and it really should have already happened last week :lol I just hope for their sake that they get McCown back soon.
-
Glad I stuck with Browns opponents :lol
-
Yeah, that was probably what will end up being 1 out of 3-4 wins Chicago will get all year in my opinion. Maybe Cleveland will end up with just as much, but I still think they're a better team than Chicago. If anything, all this shows is that you should never pick Detroit in a survivor pool :lol
-
Indeed lol
-
Will we all just have NE as the group default pick this week?

Oh well.
Good luck guys.

They did not even have the luxury of resting Sunday night on such a short week, but I am picking daPackers.
-
Risky pick, considering how thin they are at RB, they had to trade for one just to have ONE on their active roster this week. I realize this wasn't a choice for you, but I'll go against Cleveland and take the Bengals.
As the facebook meme says, the Browns are putting the 0-16 in 2016.

-
Thanks for catching that. I think it was clear I meant the Bengals, and just typed the wrong thing.
-
For the most part, I'm fortunate to be in Baltimore and have the Ravens, as opposed to eons of having to suffer with the Lions. I did see a few Lions' fans back in 2010 wearing this when they visited here, as well as in this preseason (btw, yeah, I'm not crazy about GB, but, it's daBears they're playing)
-
To be fair, I think New England is the safest pick this week, but we both took them over the Browns in week 5.
-
They did not even have the luxury of resting Sunday night on such a short week, but I am picking daPackers.
I would say that's pretty much a lock. Even though GB had a short week, they won't lose 2 in a row at Lambeau. Especially against the Bears.
-
^
Yes......but, it is the NFL.
That said, I get to relax and enjoy the next couple of days, and then pull for the Browns to win in Cincy and snowballs in Hell.
-
True, and the first 3 qtrs I was wondering if GB would pull it out. That would've been a huge upset.
-
A busy week. The snowballs and Browns did as expected.
Mark me down for Dallas

Damn I don't have a lot of good choices this week. Dallas is the only legal team that I can take and is home. Not sure if I like taking teams off a bye. I also don't want to cop out and take the same team as the only other guy left. But I don't want to take west coast teams traveling east (Seattle, Cards, Raiders). Could this be the Browns week? I really think it is their week.
I guess I'm going Falcons.
-
Had to 'work' extra for that one. I know that if I had money riding on this, Seattle would have lost in week 1, or the Browns would have made the FG to beat Miami.
-
Damn...you too are going strong...if I would've played I'd be out the first round.
-
Lol...I made my pick drunk and tired, and I spent the day thinking I picked Seattle. I was going to post a congratulations here until I saw Ben's post and rechecked my post.
-
Well, my pick for this week, in just a tired state of mind, is KC. Oh, and if our picks would match, so be it. We had similar ones when the herd was larger.
-
It is probably a good thing both of us had already chosen Minnesota prior to this week.

Ravens
-
Will this carry on when there's one left, to see how long he lasts before being eliminated?
(Btw, this looks like fun. I might be brave enough to take part next year...)
-
As a Raven fan, with them playing the Browns, I am taking.......
San Diego
The short week after playing the Steelers, mixed in with a putrid offense, and having fallen behind Cleveland 20-0 in the first meeting, well..... I reminded myself during that comeback, 'they are playing the Browns, they are playing the Browns'.
Seeing as this is another Color Mush game, with the Ravens and Snowballs, it might be the ugliest of many ugly TNF games.

It will be hard to be worse than those TB uniforms.
-
I hate doing this, but upon further review, I would like to change my pick to Arizona.
Just did my DTF weekly picks, and totally missed this matchup on first read.
-
Will one of you guys hurry up and win so we can start round 2? :lol
-
Will one of you guys hurry up and win so we can start round 2? :lol
Nope. Still alive ;D
-
Yeah, I know. That's why I said hurry up and win or lose. Actually, either way works for me. I want to get in for round 2.
-
Well, we'll see if I totally screwed up by switching my Ravens pick.
btw.....the pants they wore last night are EXACTLY what I wish they would wear on occasion for road games, or when they wear the black jerseys. The all black, with no striped pants, are fuggly as hell.
The shirts, with white pants, would be a nice change at times.
The Vikings can take back the purple socks.
-
Week 11 - Detroit
-
Almost shot myself in the foot with the switched pick.
Will go back to the 'who are the Browns playing this week?' reasoning: Pittsburgh
-
I'm in the same boat you were in last week. I'm a Steelers fan and while I know they are the better team, their four game losing streak just doesn't sit well with me.

Me and the good Doctor lived to fight yet another day, and probably yet another week. Browns are hosting the Giants, so I am taking New York.
-
Great job you two!

Holy crap!

You beat me to it. Giants
-
Well....we live to fight yet another week.
Ok, who are the Browns playing? Wait a minute, a Week 13 bye? Ruh roh, I'm in trouble......
-
Jets came really close. Once again, a different set of rules apply to Tom Brady.
-
Well....we live to fight yet another week.
Ok, who are the Browns playing? Wait a minute, a Week 13 bye? Ruh roh, I'm in trouble......
I think the Browns can lose on a bye week. The 49ers play the Bears in the "Dumpster fire game of the week sponsored by the Philadelphia 76ers, so there go two of the other pick against teams.
-
Whoever does the picks for CBSSports.com actually took the bye over the Browns, 13-10. :D
So many toss ups because of who I can choose, so I'll go with the team that let me down for decades until I moved from Michigan. In other words, I'm picking the improved Lions to lose at New Orleans.
-
I'll take the Raiders at home against an EST team.

I hope New Orleans comes back. I honestly want both of us to run the whole season. Two people running the table would be the perfectly orthogonal ending to last year's everyone being eliminated in week two.
-
Well, I did learn a new word in the process (orthogonal). My choices this week had come down to Baltimore (sigh), Denver (didn't trust them heading east), and, yes, daBears. My remaining weekly picks were set as Detroit, Atlanta, DC, and Minnesota. Oh well....
It was a really fun run, good Doctor, and now I am pulling for the Raiders at this moment.

After week 13, we have a winner!

I have to see if I can keep going.

btw........ 'Congratulations!'

You were a more than worthy opponent. I really was pulling for you the past few weeks once it was down to us.

You know you are low on choices when you are taking Dumpster Fire east (Jets) on the road against Dumpster Fire west (49ers).

Are we starting over? If so: Lions

I'm taking the Texans next week.

Hope I'm not too late. Atlanta.

Seahawks

Week 16 - Chargers
Week 17 - Steelers
Both games are against the Browns.
-
Holy crap, potentially 17-0? This streak is reaching Undertaker at Wrestlemania territory!
-
Well done, Doctor! (damn my old Lions screwing me that week by winning).
I am actually picking the Owens in the other contest this week. The Chargers played a 4pm Eastern game, and then the trek east for a 1pm Saturday contest. Temps in the 30s and possible rain. Who wants this one more?
I am pulling for the Chargers. That way the '08 Lions will have company.
-
Our sole survivor is no more. Sorry, but well done, Doctor
(I hate mentioning it, but I did predict that the Browns would win...or that SD would shoot itself in the foot)
