"KTONIK", the new Votum album will be released on February 26th in Europe and North America through Inner Wound Recordings.
The album was mixed by David Castillo at Ghost Ward [Katatonia, Opeth, Bloodbath] and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios [Paradise Lost, Kreator, Leprous].

VOTUM combines dark and vibrant atmosphere with metal traditions, bringing both force and ambience to play. The band is no stranger to musical diversity with subtle cinematic frailty and modern electronica. Dealing in powerful guitars and acoustic ballads VOTUM creates a very specific blend of fresh and unusual approach to progressive rock and metal.

this doesn't sound like the Votum I know.  I understand they have a different singer, but this song is disappointing.

For me it's the opposite, I like this song better than all the songs on their previous album.

I was worried that they might suffer from the loss of their previous vocalist but I absolutely love this guy. The song is awesome, love the guitars and the soaring vocals. I hope this band gets some more recognition with this album, all of their releases have been superb so far.

The new vocalist is really good!

Can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I gave the new song another shot after a few days.

It sounded better.  I'm more interested to hear the rest of it.
