Hello fellow Avenged Sevenfold fans! Welcome to the main thread.
There's not much to explain as this is going to have the standard survivor format, but I'll clear some minor things up and post results on here after every album.
As pretty much no one seems to care for Sounding the Seventh Trumpet I will start off with Waking the Fallen, if we decide to run Trumpet later on we can always do it last.
Specifics:
The amount of tracks on every album is pretty much the same, so every album will have the three best songs move on to the finals automatically, leaving us with 21 songs directly placed, the consolation round will consist of another 7 tracks (#4 of each survivor) of which another 2 songs will move on to the finals.
The finals will eventually have 23 tracks, which is... a lot, I think the first few rounds will go pretty smoothly though, 'cause well yea, for most, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Hail to the King are a pretty significant drop from the other albums. I personally think one or two songs of those could do decent, but definitely not winners.

I mentioned in the A7X thread my love for Diamonds in the Rough so I vote to include if my vote counts for anything. No biggie if they aren't included and I also only mean the original songs on that disc, not the cover songs or the edited versions, im not sure there is any point to that.

Any vote counts, and it wouldn't take up too much time, I think we could do something like #1 goes to finals and #2 to consolations, so it's still given a fair chance, but not as much as the actual studio albums.

I do like the intro of Waken the Fallen better then like half the songs on the album. It's pretty fn awesome.

I'm totally in this survivor. I used to be a huge A7X fan but I haven't been interested in them ever since the last album. Will give me a reason to revisit their material. :tup

Waking the Fallen intro will be included, I like it alot too. I guess we will have enough voters when I start off as some people will just join in along the way, again, that will be somewhere around next week, maybe later but probably not.

You could count only the seven songs that are not covers or alternate versions of other songs for Diamonds In The Rough, or maybe count in also the two covers. If only 7 songs will partecipate to the survivor you can let go to the finals directly only one song instead of two. (I noticed only now that your post was saying the same thing..)

Yea you get it now, anyway whenever we start off a new album it's going to be clear what's going to be included and what isn't.

If you do the seven non-covers from Diamonds in the Rough, you should also include the bonus track from Nightmare (Lost it All), the bonus track from Hail to the King (St. James), and the two songs from Call of Duty (Not Ready to Die and Carry On).

Not Ready To Die is a top 5 A7X song, so yes please.

Was already planning to include Lost it All and St. James, but I'm not sure how I forgot about Not Ready To Die, that's one of my faves, Carry On will get a fair chance too.
I have two options in mind (aside from the first two which will just be on their respective albums):
1. We drop them on the Diamonds survivor to create a "B-sides"-ish survivor.
2. We put them on the survivor of the era they were released in, which means Nightmare would have both of the CoD songs.
I'm not sure whether I like either of these, but if I had to pick I'd say 1. If you have an alternative hit me up.

Yeah Wont See You is easily my fave from that list, #2 is either Danger Line or Strength of the World.

A bit of an anticlimactic ending, but here we have it, #3 and #2 are pretty much tied. Warmness on the Soul is the only one of the finalists I actually don't like. Compared to the other A7X ballads it just falls flat, I feel they didn't develop their ballad side enough at that moment, because their recent ballads are all stunning.

Pretty good finals, this is my perfect top 3! A couple of songs I was personally missing though: M.I.A., Blinded In Chains, Remenissions, Gunslinger and So Far Away.

On the request of CharlesPL, I'm suggesting one last survivor to conclude the Avenged Sevenfold series, this time an album survivor, so only 5 rounds (or 6 if we include Diamonds in the Rough which I assume we would). Who would be in for this? I think results won't be too shocking for this but it's nice to have it being done officially.
