So tomorrow we get some new episodes!
Season 19 Trailer (although more of a short song going through some history of SP):

T0morrow's episode is apparently about Caitlyn Jenner and Deflategate.

I've been trying to catch up on the previous three seasons. I've neglected South Park the last few years. I just saw the Terrance and Philip mobile game episode the other day. Fucking hysterical.
-
I watched something like seasons 1 through 9 or something a few years back. I love the show, but when I watched that much all together I just had to take a break and still haven't picked it up again. I hope I will soon though.
-
I feel like every season has gotten worse in quality overall, but every season usually has a few outstanding episodes. I think the season premieres are often very good so I have high hopes for tomorrow.
-
When's the last time South Park has been completely random? Was it the Coon series? I feel like every episode today is a play on a current event.

hmm I feel like there actually was one in a recent season and it seemed so odd, but refreshing. I cannot recall it.

The whole social commentary aspect turned me off from the show about five or so years ago. Their satire used to be so clever and smart but around that season (14? 15?) it was starting to be phoned in almost borderline Friedberg/Seltzer level.
-
Still love the show and there are more good episodes than bad. Looking forward to the premier, but as much as I love the show I wish it would end. I think last season was only 10 episodes and I'm assuming it will be same this year. As long as Matt and Trey enjoy making the show then I'm cool with it.

That's about when I stopped watching too. And for the same reason.
Didn't they do an entire episode about Inception, but admitted afterwards that they hadn't even seen the movie yet? :\
-
Really enjoyed the new episode. The whole PC thing was fantastic and spot on. I think my favorite part of it was the two old guys talking about how the last time this happened it lasted 6 years.
-
Solid episode, PC Principal was pretty funny. The best was when he talked about the past actions in SP including building the wall to keep out the Mongolians :lol
-

I still love almost every new episode.

I still enjoy every episode, but certainly don't love them all. There are duds and the overall quality has gotten lower IMO. There are still masterpiece episodes as well though.

Any episode with Randy Marsh is the best. My favorite character.

Maybe not my favorite, but my favorite adult character. Especially since he is anything but adult. I think the first great Randy Marsh episode was Clubhouse (Ewok Treehouse) where he gets divorced and plays out a midlife crisis.
Hawwwwt hot hot hot
-
That's exactly why I love him. Just flash anything in front of him and he automatically has to do it, or have it. :lol It's the absurd that I love.
-
Favorite Randy Marsh moment has definitely got to be

DID YOU SEE THE GHOST!?!?

Too many to have a favorite, but this one always hit home

Randy is a character who slowly over time became the best character.

Well tomorrow's episode will be about Donald Trump:
The brilliantly titled "Where My Country Gone?" will feature Garrison's plight to "build a wall to keep out all of the undocumented immigrants." As any true South Park head knows, the best way for a South Park parody of Donald Trump to accomplish that would obviously be to simply "f*ck them all to death."
-
Just finished watching the latest episode. Been a long time since I watched something live, but cram's post had me checking the clock.
I don't know if I will enjoy it long term, but I was having some nice laughs tonight.
So did you forget that at 8 and 11 o'clock, all Canadians face east and play Chuck Mangione?
The iron hand of PC Principal.
Caitlyn Jenner
The Kyle "Jew" conspiracy
Lion King 2
Canadian alphabet
and that's just the beginning.
-
All of these are supposed to be ***SPOILER*** understood, but just in case:
***************SPOILER*******************************
I've looked at a few web articles that talk about the *brutal* demise of Donald "Guy" Trump (an article usually savoring the brutal demise) and even though *I* have no problem with it, I started to think: What if 2007, 2008, 2009 had a candidate, president-elect, president Obama being killed off in the same manner. Something tells me there would have been a huge outrage and possibly a ban because it *incites* violence and for that position, that is no joking matter.

A new instant classic Cartman episode last night.

Man. I must be more busy than I thought. It's a South Park season (rare) and I totally forgot to check my DVR for the new episode. Clearly a sign of the end times.
-
I didnt catch it, but my buddy texted me this morning saying I need to check it out.
-
Another really solid episode this week. So far this season has been much better than the last.

Agreed, the whole PC subject that they are centering the season around is great, although i did not catch this weeks episode. I seem to be a week behind on all my shows. :\
-
I didn't care for the last episode. First South Park episode I outright didn't like in a long time.
-
Finally get to watch this season. Got Hulu and am enjoying this season so far.
The Yelp Reviewer episode is fantastic.
-
Tweek x Craig was the best episode in at least 2 or 3 seasons.

It was funny....Tee he Hee :heart
-
Last episode was great again, this season is probably one of the best ever.
-
I'm looking into getting hulu, or at least doing the free trial over Christmas break or over the summer so we can do a major binge, because my wife and I haven't been able to see most of the seasons since at least season 16 (due to the fact we don't want our daughter to see it...) and late at night we are both wayyyy too tired to watch new episodes.
-

I have to wait till this Wednesday to watch on Hulu. But, the Jimmy one was awesome, and really drew in the continuous story line.
-
Oh, there's a newer one? I was referring to the one with Jimmy and the school newspaper.
-

That's retarded.
-
Was that this past Wednesdays episode? If so, then I guess Hulu adds it sooner.
-
I missed it as I was too busy crushing puss.
Best season in a decade. I think PC Principal is the first cartoon character that I actually truly hate.
-
You guys do know every episode of south park can be watched free online? So I hope you aren't getting Hulu just for SP

Yeah I know. it's more convenient through Hulu though. I also, use Hulu for other shows that are not on basic tv.
-
Ah awesome there's a southpark thread, all my usernames in videogames used to be Kennydies and nowadays I get comments about The Waling Dead for it (??, is that some dude in TWD or something?), anyways the last few seasons kinda bored me, but this new one is great, especially the last episode, they went very old school in the sense that the kids are naïve as fuck playing 'ninja's'. This is a must watch guys!
-
Agreed about the last few seasons not being so great and this is sort of a comeback to greatness. I personally would not rate this as the best season (still more to see so who knows), but it certainly is the best in a long time.
-
I also like that dark atmosphere they've been building up with all the fuss about Leslie and PC (won't tell too much in case some of you haven't seen them all yet).
-
This last episode with Jimmy and Leslie was one of the best in a long long time. Im glad Barbrady returned!
-
I haven't watched the show religiously for many years, only catching a show here or there. I find it hard to believe that any show can be consistently good if it's been on 19 seasons. I guess because of the fact that it is topical and uses current events prevents Parker and Stone's well of creativity from running completely dry.
I think the tipping point of the show came in Season 6, with "The Deathcamp of Tolerance" episode. There was really nowhere else to go after Lemmiwinks, Mr. Slave, and the animated "Hobbit" soundtrack parody. The gross out meter was as far as it could realistically go at that point. I did like the Deflategate references the first (?) episode of this year, but I also recognized that it was sour grapes coming from two die-hard Broncos fans.
So if this show is a little tired, how bad must "The Simpsons" be at this point, in its 27th season?
-
What hurt The Simpsons is all the stuff they used to do, they can't no more, like show Homers ass.
Was there a new episode last night?
-

They aren't allowed to show an ANIMATED ass on over-the-air TV anymore? When the viewers were "blessed" by the appearance of Dennis Franz's ass on NYPD Blue fifteen, twenty years ago. Is it the fallout of Janet Jackson's Nipplegate from Super Bowl 38? I thought that Obama threw out Bush's bible-thumping appointee as head of the FCC.
-
I binged the whole season (what's been aired so far anyway) over the weekend. This has been the best season of South Park since the seasons 3-7 era.

Agree. Hopefully the finale this week doesn't disappoint like last season. As much as I love Matt and Trey sometimes I think they tend to over think things.
-
PC principle is going to snap and be as politically incorrect as possible. I'm betting he dies somehow.
-
Leslie's an ad. PC Principal has been telling her to shut the fuck up all season.
...You think the twist might be that he's actually an ad blocker? :lol
This season's been fantastic by the way.
-

I laugh every time he does that.
-
The finale didn't go into the direction I thought it would (thought there'd be a bigger twist to PCP being in that ad with Leslie rather than "the ads are trying to psych him out"), but I still loved it and this season was fantastic. Really glad PC Principal didn't get killed. The character caused a lot of the laughs I had this season, so I think he's warranted his stay.
When he interrupted Leslie's evil speech at the gun show, I was really hoping we'd get a final "Put a fucking sock in it!" but alas. And when the show cut to Randy with the townsfolk saying "Why did it have to be this way?" I thought it was going to show that they were hanging PCP like they did with Reality.

Exactly this :lol too bad. Overall I loved the episode, especially the whole gunshow situation.
-
I thought they were going to burn down the Whole Foods like they did with Wal Mart. :lol
-
I thought the last episode was hysterical, but I thought it sucked donkey balls as a finale.
-
It was a good episode. The gun show was hilarious. My one critique of the season is that I felt that the lack of a clear "Matt & Trey" message was disappointing. It seems like they did their best to present both sides and let the viewers decide which is cool, but I prefer when they take a stand on something whether I agree with it or not. Also, I was a little confused by the ending. All season seemed to be anti-PC but the ending of the finale made it sound like we needed to PC. Wasn't sure what they're going for.
