I know it. However in the movie she does it to both feet.

I just realised that track 2 and 3 on the Beatles Please Please Me are "Misery" and "Anna (Go to Him)"

Coincidence?  I think not.

You know right before it when she calls Paul a cocksucker? That's Kathy Bates favorite curse word (from inside the actors studio). I bet she asked to say it lol

Yeah, that was an 'uuuuuhhh' moment in the movie. But the same scene, in the book? I struggled to read through that entire passage. Arghh. Great novel though, vintage King.

One of two movie scenes I find it hard to watch with the sound up.

The other is Quint's death in Jaws.

I still need to catch this one, seems right up my ally. Plus Bates is awesome.

I read a shit-ton of King in my teens. Misery was at least top 5.

Although people tend to talk more highly of his bigger works (The Stand, It, Dark Tower), I think he excels more in mid-length works like Misery, Pet Sematary and The Shining.

Those are three great examples.

I love his massive works, mid-length works, novellas, and short stories.  I love all his forms (but not all of the actual books/stories; some are definitely better than others).

King just has a way to his writing where he's so descriptive and detailed, but does it in a way that keeps you going... As if you are watching my everything going on through a window.
