Anyone else watching this? I'm 3 episodes in.
Intense!
-
This show along with a very long list of shows are on my to watch list. I've heard excellent things about it.
-
Every time I see my mother, she insists that I watch this. I just finished The United States of Tara and need a new show. I might give this one a whirl.
-
I recommend it.
It is spooling out the story in a slow burn. I love the atmosphere, and there are some fantastic actors involved. Very well made show.
-
It's weird to think of Kyle Chandler as anyone other than Eric Taylor, but I'm really enjoying the show so far.

I know what you mean.

It's weird to think of Kyle Chandler as anyone other than Gary Hobson, but I'm really enjoying the show so far.
FTFY!
I've heard/seen good things about this show, too, and it's on my list as well.
-
I watched the whole first season. Decent show that builds well and should be renewed.
-
Finished the series. It's awesome, highly recommended.
-
I watched the first episode and found it fairly boring but the ending scene makes me want to continue. I'm not big on family centric dramas.
Also I'll brag a little and say that I've partied with Linda Cardellini before and she's really awesome.
-
Caught another two episodes last night. Holy shit, this is crazy.
-
Two more episodes in and this is definitely getting interesting.

Just wait.
-
Gahh!! I only have 3 episodes to go.
Holy shit, this is good TV.
-
Finished.
What an unbelievable show. Can't wait to see where they go with it for the second season.
-
I've heard only good things about this but every time I read the premise I can't help but think that it sounds boring. But today I will overcome that prejudice, or whatever it is, and at least check out the pilot.
-
Really enjoyed this show! Shouldn't the next season premiere around this time?
-
May 26th
-
Yup. They released a trailer but I'm trying not to watch it so I can go in totally fresh.

I spent last Memorial Day weekend watching the first two seasons. Needless to say I'll be watching the new season next weekend.
-
Ah great! I didn't realise there was another season coming. :tup
The first season was excellent, second was not quite as good, IMO. I can't wait to see where the story goes next..
-
I'm three episodes into the new season and it's still been very good so far.
-
I'm up to episode seven so I'm almost done. I'm not sleeping until I finish this. :lol
-
Wow. That ninth episode was like something out of David Lynch's mind. Brilliant!
-
One episode of S3 in. So far so good. Looks like it's carrying right on from where S2 left off. I'm interested to find out more about Beau Bridges' character.
-
Two episodes in and it's nice to have the show back also, nice that the whole season been released at once like before.
-
Finished the season at the week. Wow - episode 9 was a total headmelter!
I couldn't help but feel sorry for Eric O'Bannon. The guy was totally shafted. The final nail in his coffin was Sally Rayburn's Oscar worthy turn on the witness stand.
Apparently Netflix won't be renewing for a fourth season. Overall, I was a little disappointed in this season, but I think they've probably taken it as far as it can go.
-
What disappointed you?

Just some story points just didn't really keep my attention, or feel as well developed as previous seasons. This one seemed very John-centric. Meg didn't really feature much at all. Detective Franco (if that's his name - aka Angel from Dexter) didn't really follow up any more on his suspicions of John's involvement with Danny's death. This was one of the main points of tension in the last season, and it just seemed to be dropped after Marco's murder. I think they should have kept that thread running the whole way through.
There was very little with John's children. We hear that the girl is starting to mess about with some boyfriend, but we don't get to meet him, or see what extra stress that situation would put on John.
Nolan seemed to appear pretty suddenly, and didn't seem to have any of the troublemaking capabilities he did in the last season. He just kinda sided with the O'Bannons at the trial, there was nothing really about his having to choose between the Rayburn family, and his dad's best friend. There was no mention of his mother really at all.
We didn't hear what happened to Roy Gilbert, whether he was dead or had just discharged himself and disappeared to escape the heat.
Ozzy turning in to some kind of prophet was kind of weird.
We didn't get to hear anything else about Robert Rayburn's alleged affair from previous seasons. I thought that might have been explored a little more, though maybe it was something that was planned for the future.
-
You're right. There does seem to be quite a few unanswered questions. I'm wondering if that was intentional. Without there being any additional seasons, it does leave a lot in the open. Maybe those other characters are unimportant as far as what we're supposed to take from the story. I wonder if that ninth episode is telling us something about the rest of the story.
-
I was wondering during that episode if they were going to pull a "Bobby Ewing" and perhaps Danny wasn't dead after all..
Oh, and it was good to see Ben Mendelsohn again, but that wig was pretty awful! :lol
-
I was hoping the same exact thing - wig and all. ;)
-
I think the final two episodes were a total disaster. It wasn't going to live up to the first season (and neither did season 2), but they really dropped the ball at the end, in my opinion. It all just seemed half-assed and undeveloped.
-
Personally, I think they wanted to either leave the unanswered questions as unimportant or maybe even though Netflix said it was the final season they have plans to continue elsewhere. That's probably wishful thinking but it's a thought.

Interesting article from thehollywoodreporter.com:
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/bloodline-will-end-netflix-season-928743
It seems like the original plan was for 5 or 6 seasons. Also, Florida has scrapped entertainment tax incentives which might have made filming more costly. That was maybe part of it too.
-
That doesn't surprise me. I guess we now know they had to condense the story and leave out certain details. I had a feeling...
