I've just got the 2015 calendar in my mailbox, and as always I was going to write the release dates in the slots for each day, so I went on DTF to find the new Release Date Calendar, and, weirdly, I didn't find it here! That saddened me to no end, I wanted to complain about it in every thread, but then decided to start the thread myself instead.
As Zantera is apparently slacking, I'll be doing my best updating the list this year (if you guys don't mind, of course). You can count on a lot of quite unknown releases being here in the calendar, because a lot of them usually appear in my inbox; but of course, a lot of albums will be missing, so that's where we all will need your help, guys: if you see some release is missing, or something new gets announced throughout the year, be sure to post any information you have in this thread, be that the album's name, the release date (exact or not exact, like month or even season), any news would be welcome. I'll try to update this thread as often as I can!

Great!
March 2: Europe - War Of Kings
-
I've been a bit busy over Christmas/New Years, but it's cool if you do it this year. I just kinda picked it up almost accidentally and had some fun doing it for 2 years, but I noticed that the "enthusiasm" disappears after a while. Both years was very fun doing it for the first few months, but as soon as you reached the second half and the end of the year, it got harder to keep up. Still, I think you'll do a good job, so gl! :tup
-
Great, was looking for this yesterday.
January 27th: Periphery - Juggernaut: Alpha
January 27th: Periphery - Juggernaut: Omega
-
Spock's Beard are in the studio, so you could put "TBA" in the TBA section, like you've done with David Gilmour.
-
Here's the info I've dredged up so far. I'll copy/paste from my personal list and try to edit out the repeats.
Jan. 20 – Lupe Fiasco – Tetsuo And Youth

Feb. 17 – Imagine Dragons – Smoke + Mirrors

-
Added everything you guys wrote here so far, keep it up!
-
Evermind, thanks for picking this up.
...but I noticed that the "enthusiasm" disappears after a while.
Yeah, just by the nature of this type of thread, there often isn't a lot of active discussion, since that tends to happen more in the thread for particular bands. But if you look at the number of views, it is obvious that a lot of people really value the information.
-
Jan. 27 - Michael Sweet & George Lynch - Only To Rise
A few TBAs of the top of my head here though.
Mark Tremonti - TBA
Halestorm - TBA
Muse - TBA

Here's what I've got on my radar that hasn't been mentioned yet.

Big Big Train -Station Masters (Still possibly coming out this year)
Tiles - Pretending To Run (6th Studio Album)

Tool - 5th Studio Album
Affector - 2nd Studio Album
Marillion - 18th Studio Album (At least I'm pretty sure they're working on this...)

Added everything except Tool and Marillion, because for those two, well, I'll believe it when I'll see the news.

Fair enough, especially for Tool more than anyone else.
As for Marillion, I just scoured their FB page and noticed this post from August 1st last year:
Marillion
August 1, 2014 ·
We've been throwing some ideas around this week for the new album. Next week we will be rehearsing for our appearance at the Cropredy Festival. After that we all have two weeks off for holidays and then, you will be glad to hear, we will be going back into the studio to continue work on our 18th studio album:) Enjoy the rest of the summer!
So it looks like their 18th album is on its way to us, hopefully this year.
-Marc.

I wouldn't assume anything with Marillion.
not enough right now to post everything.

I don't know if that many people here care, but:
Death Cab for Cutie have said that they have an as-yet-untitled studio album (https://www.stereogum.com/1713885/qa-death-cab-for-cutie-preview-their-final-album-with-chris-walla/franchises/interview/) coming out in "early" 2015
And Chris Martin has said that Coldplay is in the studio working on a new studio album tentatively titled A Head Full of Dreams (https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/30339012). This isn't a confirmed 2015 release, but considering that they were in the studio already in early December I would consider it a strong possibility.

Jan. 23 - Aphex Twin - Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments Pt. 2
Yes, his new album SYRO just came out a few months ago and he's already releasing an EP of new music. Me happy. :heart

Daniel Johns - Aerial Love [EP]
Did I get it wrong or is this EP just something that's supposed to come out before his big solo album this year? I don't usually get excited about EPs, but I'd love a Daniel Johns solo album.

Mar. 24 - Incubus - Trust Fall (Side A)
Mar. ?? - Julien-K - California Noir, Chapter 1: Analog Beaches And Digital Cities
May 19 - Faith No More - Sol Invictus
That Incubus release is an Extended Play. Trust Fall (Side B) (that's the name I assume) will come out at a later time this year, so my assumption is that they basically decided to take the new album and just split it into two EP releases.
The Julien-K album is indiegogo-funded; the band themselves have said that they don't have an exact date, but they should start shipping later next month. California Noir, Chapter 2 is planned for later in the year as well.

I really hope this is better than the last one.
-
Me too, man. Me too. I hated If Not Now, When? so, soooooo much. And I'm someone who actually loves Light Grenades, which apparently a lot of their hardcore fans didn't like as much? I dunno.
-
Light Grenedes was a grower, but I think it's pretty damn good now too. I agree the last one was just rubbish, nothing good about it at all.
-
On the live album that came out the year after in 2012, the Best Buy version actually had bonus tracks, including three studio tracks that didn't make it onto the last album. One of these songs, "Rebel Girls", was actually pretty good! Well, the chorus was, anyway. Kind of sad that the best thing from those entire album recording sessions was demoted to being tucked away on a special edition on a live album at a specific store. At the very least, that song's worth checking out if you get a chance.
-
I'll try and find them and have a listen.

I didn't believe it at first, I was speechless and stunned when I saw it.
This is turning out to be a big year for bands I like: already got new Belle & Sebastian and Charlatans, new Blur, Warpaint, ASIWYFA, DT and hopefully Metallica coming up.

What the fuuuh... well, that certainly piques my interest. I've gotten sick of their banjo sound at this point.

Seven Steps to the Green Door - Fetish (Sept 1)
Subsignal - The Beacons Of Somewhere Sometime (Oct 31)

Pyramaze - Disciples of the Sun (May 26)
House of Lords - Indestructible (June 7)
Angra - Secret Garden (May 12th... though it was supposedly released earlier in the year in other parts of the world)

The funny thing is I have both Angra and Pyramaze records on my shelf. I was sure I added them earlier. Shame on me indeed. :lol
-
Ah, sorry that you already had the SB one. I usually just come to post after seeing a band's album press release on Facebook without checking the list beforehand. Woopsie!
-
No worries man, I often miss those announcements. Keep those posts coming!

First new ELO album since Zoom in 2001. And I guess Jeff has to put his name on the front for legal reasons or something.

Update:
November 13th
Mutemath - Vitals

I just realised that there are no more anticipated releases for me this year. Queensryche was the last one.
-
I'm eagerly awaiting for the new Subsignal album. That's the only one left on this list I have any interest in.
-
Not even Threshold's live album?
I still have quite a few on the interest list - mind you, I'm a total music whore.

I have quite a few too.

Nov. 15: MYSTERY - Delusion Rain
Added to the list. Sweet. Didn't know there was anything in the works

First one with the new singer too. Benoit David left a while back now. I didn't like The World Is A Game much, and this one seems to be following the same theme, but I'm still looking forward to it.
-
The World is a Game was my intro to Mystery. Loved it. Bought the discog because of it.

Yeah, pretty much an even split of cleans and growls. Any song will show that dude.

January is looking great.
I agree, a lot of releases to look for in January. I'm quite busy with work these times, but I'll try to fire up the new thread at the weekend. :tup That is, of course, if no one else wants to seize the opportunity and run this thread instead of me; because sometimes I may be busy or away for a few days or even weeks, so I can't promise, say, the daily updates.
But if this year's pace was alright for you folks, I'm up for the next year too.
