Title: Prince Appreciation thread

I love this guy. Hands down one of my favorite musicians ever.

Post by: black_biff_stadler on October 01, 2014, 08:43:18 PM: Don't know his albums. Fucking love virtually every single of his. Raspberry Beret is awesome as is Little Red Corvette. My first exposure to new music by him while actually already knowing about him was Cream (YELLOW GUITAR!) and Diamonds and Pearls and those are both awesome.

I even was lucky enough to meet him once.

I think most people would list Purple Rain as the definitive Prince album to get, which I agree its pretty damn good, but It took me some time to get into.

Personally I would recomend these two.

1. Symbol (from 1992)
2. The gold experience (from 1995)

Very decent albums and fairly accessible.

His catalog is so huge that anyone should find something they like.

Most say Purple Rain and Sign "☮" the Times.

Listened to both new records (PLECTRUMELECTRUM and ART OFFICIAL AGE). They're great!
