Title: RPWL
Post by: theanalogkid7 on August 17, 2013, 09:55:14 PM
I just discovered RPWL and I'm really digging them.  I've only heard a couple tunes so far, but I'm really impressed.  Is anyone here a fan, and what albums should I check out?

Beyond Man and Time is the only album I've checked out.  I have to be in the mood for it, but when I am it hits the spot.

Probably the most underrated band that I know of. Written off initially as a Floyd cover band, they have really come into their own.
Every studio album is excellent and their live album Start The Fire is among my all time favorite live albums.

I have Stock, Trying To Kiss The Sun and Start The Fire.

I should revisit Stock and Trying To Kiss The Sun to determine if I still want them. Start The Fire might be the only album I need in this case.

After listening to all three of these last weekend, I think I'm going to keep Trying To Kiss The Sun and Start The Fire.

I think Stock is going in the sell pile.

Google Music suggested these guys to me today, and I'm really digging it! Listening to "God has failed" right now, and of course it's super-heavy on the influences, but really good too.

Same here. The other albums have some good songs here and there but that's the one I find to be consistent overall

I don't know how I missed this band.

Amazing!!!!  My daughter showed me World Through My Eyes and now  I pretty much have to buy their entire catalog.

You won't be disappointed. Big RPWL fan here. I would start with their earliest to their latest album. Early RPWL is very floydish (started as a PF tribute band) but then you see the evolution to a heavier sound with a mix of a lot of early PF.

New album dropped today. Man, what a great band. This new album sounds more like World Through My Eyes which is always great.

Just getting into this band, thanks to a friend who heard about them and checked them out.  They sound pretty darn good so far.  The Floyd influence is obvious, especially since the singer sounds a lot like David Gilmour and some of the guitar solos are very Gilmour-esque, but they seem to do enough different stuff to where they don't sound like a Floyd wannabe band.

Big bump.

Got in the mood last night for this band. Played World Through My Eyes and their live album, Start The Fire. I always enjoy their music. If you've never given them a try and you like Floyd, you won't be disappointed.

I think Stock is going in the sell pile.

Looks like I still have these. Stock never went into the sell pile apparently. Should probably do a reevaluation on these.
