Title: The KrotchRaut Thread v. REAPERCUTION REMIX... AGAIN!

We're a parody Death Metal/Black Metal/Grindcore band from Arizona. Check us out!

Down the road we'll be coming out with an epic song based on a totally random dream I had about Akerfeldt's cat, apply titled Akerfeldt's Cat. Don't worry, the cat wasn't harmed....... Or raped.

Now wait a minute man.

I understand everything else, but the drums? Those weren't even recorded. They were made in a drum program, so those should sound the clearest if anything. And you didn't mention the vocals which also surprises me, but I'm not complaining.

Post by: Zook on November 18, 2009, 12:56:29 AM: We're once again on hiatus due to Mr. Voorhees' laziness. Just kidding. I completed 3 drum tracks and am just waiting on some free time to start recording the guitars. I remade the Starving Desire drum track, but Human Taxidermy's drums are a bitch because I originally created a bunch of different drum sequences for each section, and unfortunately saved them as mp3's. They're all different tempos so it's a pain in the ass doing this all over again, but I want the best possible sound. KrotchRaut and Reapercution sound so much better with the fixed drum tracks. All that's left for KrotchRaut is to rerecord the vocals. Manipulation Mutilation is going to be completely remade except for the drums.

KrotchRaut Vocalist Changes Name

Today in the courtroom in their cave in Sweden, in Josh's room, upstairs, a member and co-founder of the world famous band, KrotchRaut, Aress Begee (R.S.B.G.) officially changed his name to Arby Emgee (R.B.M.G.), which some fans have said stands for "Random Black Metal Guy".

Arby Emgee stated in ear destroying, black metal vocals, "We just thought it would make more sense considering Ardy Emgee and I are brothers and I do black metal style vocals and that it adds to our story in the Band Bio section on KrotchRaut's myspace page."

Police have reported many suicides pertaining to this name change. A fan we interviewed said this before killing himself by stabbing himself in the face with a knife-wrench, "I just carved the KrotchRaut logo into my back with all the member's names under it! I can't change it now! AHHHHH! I'm just going to stab myself in the face with this knife-wrench!"

Arby's brother Ardy responded to the fans in a blood curdling growl, "These fans are behaving like lunatics, it's only a name change. It's not like he left the band and hasn't done an interview about the band in like 15 years... Kevin Moore."

The other band members had nothing to add except their bassist, King Bah Gah, who said, "I enjoy children."

Things are finally going smoothly with the new Human Taxidermy drums. I still can't totally decipher the cowbell solo, but I have it close enough. If I wanted to, I could just slap the original solo in the new version.

We let our older brother have some input but he was kinda being that producer nobody likes while trying to get us to put the song on hold to start something new... We lost a big chunk of time but stole.. er.. I mean came up with some cool riffs. I managed to insult Josh pretty bad so I feel like shit. Anyway, I know how Jon Schaffer feels when it comes to outside opinions... And finally, we're at 1:45 and we aren't even at the first verse yet and the song is barely 5 minutes :lol Goodnight or morning or something.

Post by: Zook on February 02, 2015, 09:51:35 PM: Funny, my last update was remixing Reapercution, and here I am again a year and a half later with the same update. Well, we are in the process of recording a new song, but we can only get together when pigs fly so it's a long process. But I'm really proud of Reapercution, and I want it to sound as good as possible, so I've taken to Audacity and Beatcraft once again to try and make that porridge just right. I know it'll never sound good production wise (and maybe just in general) but I'd like a decent mix at least. So I spent all day fucking with that song reworking the drums, EQing them some more, adjusting stem volumes, and I think I've finally done it. I'll post it here tomorrow for those that care. I might do the same for Starving Desire, but I'm putting the other songs to bed. They'd have to be completely re-recorded, and I don't think my brother has any interest in that.

Furthermore, we have the guitars almost done for one song as well as the lyrics, thanks to the inspiration of recent family drama. We have another song partially done as well.
