Surprisingly, I didn't need to give it too much thought.

How much longer do I have to vote for My Friend of Misery? All those wasted votes, great.

I almost voted for Wolf, but then I realized that it's possibly the greatest song Metallica ever wrote.
It's not, but it's possible.

Sad But True again...

What's this world coming to when people are too lazy to type two letters.
I voted Enter Sandman again.

I feel like you're being sarcastic, but I hope you're not because FUCK YEAH OF WOLF AND MAN :metal.

Well I was being ironic. Wolf is no where near their greatest song, but I really like it, especially better than songs like Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters, which might be their most overrated song ever.
-
Yours is an acceptable opinion.
Don't know if I would call Nothing Else Matters their most overrated song ever, but I definitely don't like it quite as much as some people seem to.
-
How is My Friend of Misery not gone already? It is among the small grouping of songs on this album that I've only heard 4 or 5 times because they are just...boring songs. The whole of St Anger is better than about 1/3rd of this album.

I love St. Anger, but I cannot disagree with you more with you.

Hey I like My Friend of Misery  In fact I like it more than at least half of the remaining songs here. What I don't understand is why Sad But True is so popular, I don't think it's a terrible song but I fail to see what's so great about it. If anything is overrated on TBA it would be that song in my opinion.

The Forum that failed.

In the dictionary, under "redundant"...it says "see: redundant". ;D

My Friend of Misery is fucking great. It's one of the few times in Metallica's entire discography where the bassist is given a chance to shine and Jason really makes the most of it. Also, the entire interlude/solo section is so gorgeously melodic and dreary. It's one of their finest examples of them being able to establish a mood without having to milk the fire/ice dynamic of being ultra-heavy or ballerina soft (the lighter parts of track 4 on the golden three albums for example.)

Very well said.
However, you're voting for Of Wolf and Man.
So we must duel.

Eh. I had my fling with Wolf. Back when I first started working at a grocery store in 1998, I remember looking at the magazine rack in the store and seeing that it had been transcribed in Guitar World (or maybe Maximum Guitar back when it was still in print) and, even though I'd already bought the tab books for all of their studio albums that had been released up to that point and had it available to learn before GW trancsribed it, only now did I bother with it.
It was fun but peaked at a point where it was still only better than Sad, Holier, Tread, and possibly Sandman and God. Definitely not a bad thing considering that I like TBA a good bit compared to what the general attitude around here is toward it.
