Also another question - is it your ideal time to wake up? (Or are you happy about waking up when you do?)
I suspect people with jobs wake up around 6ish but I'm curious about everyone else.
I wake up around 9am usually. Ideally I'd be up at 5am, just to get into that active day mindset.
-
Afternoon. Lol am.
-
6:40 Except Wednesdays and weekends
-
Voted for 7-8 AM, but really, I get up when sleep no longer interests me. :millahhhh
:neverusethis:
-
I don't get much sleep with Adami in the bed.... But usually around 6.
-
7:30. Every day.
-
^Afraid that if you sleep any longer you'll wake up dead?
-
7:30 AM on MWF
9:30 AM on TTh
-
10-11am. I tend to stay up until 3-4am.
-
Between 6 and 7. Been trying to get to my job around 7 but damn I love me some snooze.
-
4 am on Mondays
4:30 Tuesday through Friday.
6 am or 7 am on weekends.
-
Between 8 and 9 am is generally the time I wake up. It would probably be closer to 10am if I didn't have to wake up earlier for classes.
-
Too early.
-
When I have to be to work at 11 I am usually up round 9-930. When I gotta be in at 430 / weekdays when I am off round 1030-1130. Weekends = whenever I feel like it (today got up at 2pm. Felt so good)
-
Depends. When I wasn't working during the summer, I got up at ten or so; when I was working this summer, about 5:20. This quarter, my first class is at 10:30 AM (yessss) so I'll get up at 9.
-
So everything after 12 is lumped together? I honestly cannot remember how many years it has been since I had to wake up before the crack of noon. :lol
On an average day I wake up at 2pm. On an early day, 1pm. On a later day, anywhere up to 5pm.
-
Assuming I have nothing to do, usually between 6 and 7.
For me earlier is better, always. I absolutely despise sleeping and love waking up early.
-
830 is my standard time, unless I have something going on earlier
-
For all you early risers, did you train yourself to get there? Or were you always a morning person?
-
For the present time, I have been waking up between 6 and 8 am, pending on the day. On my days off though, I usually lay back down after an hour or two.
-
7 AM at weeks.
-
9-10am on a day off.
-
On a school day: 5:50am, since the gym opens at 6:30 and I have all 8 am's, so it works out nice
On a day off: maybe 6:45ish
all my friends are usually going out around the time I'm going to sleep and wake up the next day around noon-1pm. I couldn't never do that though.
-
I get up at 5 am or shortly thereafter. I apparently don't get an option in the poll.
-
In theory, the option that would most factually represent you out of those available would be "after 12pm"; you just happen to be ~17 hours after 12pm.
-

Your in a league of your own buddy! BTW I thought I was up early on a Sunday.
-
After 12pm generally. Recently, since I started going to the gym, between 12 and 1pm. And between 11am and 12pm on weekends. Working from home 4tw ;D
I have gone through periods before where I would sometimes not wake up until after 3 or even 4pm. But then I decided it was a bit ridiculous that I was still awake from the night before when my flatmates got up for work :lol
-
When I have classes I wake up around 9 in the morning. When I have nothing important to do I wake up around 10 but sometimes don't rise up until 12 or 13. My sleep patterns are in a systematic chaos.
-
Usually 6-7 A.M., because of the school. Luckily I have had now three school days beginning in 11.15 A.M. in a week :metal. In weekends I sleep as much as I want, usually 11-12 A.M.
-
On work days I get up at 3:30am, leave the house by 4:00am arrive at the gym at 4:30am, work out until 6:30am, then arrive at work at about 6:45am.
On Saturdays I sleep in until about 6:30am and don't usually head to the gym until around 7
Sundays I get up when I get up....usually around 6:30am or 7:00am
-
Around 6:30 most days, usually 8 or so on the weekends.
-
My body's trained at this point to never sleep pass 7:30. It wasn't a conscious decision. That was just when I had to get up for school, and it's stuck. This morning, for example, I had only slept for about 6 hours, but at 7:30 I was wide awake and not even remotely able to get back to sleep. Granted, there are times when the power of sleep will win, but it only happens when I stay up until like 2 AM and there's no way I'd be able to function on that amount of sleep. It's kind of nice though, because I always feel like I get more accomplished when I'm up that early. It seems like time goes by a bit slower in the mornings, and I can just relax and listen to music without feeling like I'm wasting my day.
-
Lately I get up at around 7-8 am. But this depends on work. I don't have a set start time, so I get a call about 2 hours before I have to report. Latest I've gone in, 3 pm. Earliest was 3:30 am.
I like being a morning person. I never had a job that was a real day shift job until this one, and I grew tired of second and third shift work. It's nice to see the sun come up after waking up, not before going to bed :lol
-
I wake up at 3 AM on a work day and at around 7 on a weekend.
-
Around 9 A.M most days.
-
4:30 every day. Start either my 10 mile run or 50 mile bike ride(alternate each day) by 4:45. I really do not sleep. If i get 3 hours a night that is alot.
-
Usually 7 am, and no. I wish I could sleep in.
-
5:15 AM. I work at 6:00 AM every day.
It is not my ideal time. I'd rather wake up around 10:00 AM, honestly. Or at least sometime when the sun is up, rather than getting up in the cold and dark. I love being done with work at 2:00 PM, though.
-

That is really bad for you.

I chose 9-10 AM. With my job as a bartender at a wine bar, my nights usually seep into the wee hours of the morning; thus, I have transitioned from a morning person into a night person whom if you forcefully wake up early will quite possibly eat you alive starting from your toes. I used to be up (before I got this job and when I was in school) early around 7 AM, which was the latest I'd be up. But lifestyle changes have forced me to change myself a bit. I don't mind, as the nightlife fits me pretty well and I realized I really don't have any reason to wake up that early anymore as I'm not in school for the next year ($$$) and if I were to wake up that early, it'd be spent drinking coffee (which makes me want to puke) trying to stay up and then taking a nap later so I'm not a zombie when the midnight rush inevitably comes. Sometimes if I had an especially bad night, as I did last night, I'll sleep till noon-ish. Today I woke up at 11:30 AM. That's the latest I'll sleep though. Feels good. Love sleep. Still don't get enough of it.
-
6:30 Monday to Thursday, When-The-Fuck-Ever Friday, 8:30 Saturday, 10:00 Sunday
-
I have class at 9:30 Mon-Thurs, so usually 8:30ish on those days. On weekends usually I tend to sleep in pretty late, maybe between 10am and noon.
-
7:10, except on Tuesday, Thursday and weekends. And no, if I had to pick a standard waking time for each day in the week I'd pick something like 8:30.
-
Completely depends. For a few weeks now, because I haven't found a place to stay, I'm commuting to Uppsala.. which means that if I start 8.15, I get up at 6. Weekends it could be anything from 9.30-12, depending on when I went to sleep.
-
When I have work, it's usually 5:00 AM. On week-ends (and/or when I'm not called into work), it's generally between eleven and twelve noon.
-
Where's the 5-6 option? I usually get up at 5:30am on work days.
-
Between 9:30-10 am.
-
10-11 weekends
7 on school days.
-
I chose "after 12pm", even though I'm up at noon Mondays through Thursdays. Friday through Sunday I wake up whenever, but I usually won't go past 3pm on Sunday.
-
Around 7.
-
7 am Monday-Friday, then whenever I feel like on the weekend, which usually is between 10 and noon.
-
i wake up at the time that was left out of the choices; 540am.
-
Really depends on my schedule... but normally somewhere between 8-9:30am... and if I could have my way I'd probably wake up at around 11-11:30am every day
-
Got up today at 6. Booyah.
-
Around now. I really wish I hated sleeping like a lot of you guys.
-
For all you early risers, did you train yourself to get there? Or were you always a morning person?
Have children, you'll find out.
-
4 am Monday to Friday
7 am on weekends
-
I woke up at 12:20PM today. After a night of debauchery and shit kicking. What a shit night. Just shit everywhere. I'd feel bad about myself but I have no self anymore, it's just me and my penis now.
-
Work has me waking up anytime between 3:15-6:45 am. On average I'd say 5:30 am. It's not my ideal time as I hate mornings but I like having the rest of the day free.
If I have a day off it would be 11 am.
-
7 am.
It's part of my "being unemployed doesn't mean I need to be a bum" lifestyle.
-
For all you early risers, did you train yourself to get there? Or were you always a morning person?
Get a job, and then depend on that job to pay for the roof over your head, the food on your plate, the shirt on your back, your transportation needs, and everything else you need or want to obtain. I'll wake up and go to work at 3:30 am if it means not being homeless and destitute. Actually, I once did have to wake up at 3:30 am to go to work. That was a shitty time in my life.
-
I wake up a few minutes before 6am. I have to get my two daughters ready to go to two different private schools while my wife is getting ready to go to her teaching job.
-

Have children, you'll find out.
Or a job. I'm not a morning person but if I want to keep my job, I have to get up early.
@OP. Are you planning on adding a 5-6 option? There's a hour gap in your poll.

I involuntarily get up at 6am when I need to
-
On Tuesdays and Thursdays (school days) I wake up at 7:45am. I take naps when I get home, Tuesdays I have a three-hour break between classes. Thursdays I work a few hours after I get home school.
I usually work afternoons or evenings so I can sleep in. Unfortunately all the other days I wake up between 8:30am and 9:30am. Ideally I'd prefer to wake up between 10am and 10:30am.
-

this isn't the first time this has happened to me on a poll on this forum. Srs WTF
-
7:15 on normal work days, 9:15 most Sundays, and as late as possible on Wednesdays (which I typically have off) and the Saturdays I have off.
-
7:30 on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays
9:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Weekend
Anytime goes.
-
OK I added 5-6am.
-
I've trained myself to get up early...as others have mentioned its due to my job...but the flip side I'm up incredibly early on my days off as well I hate the feeling of wasting a day sleeping i'm stuck in a office all week last thing I want to do is spend any time off sleeping or just laying around the house
-
Today I woke up at 6 AM for no reason and it felt fucking great. I love waking up early in the Fall for some reason. I guess it's because the cool air and breezes have become alien to me, living in the asshole of hell (Texass). I think I'm just going to post what time I wake up in this thread from here on out. Yes.
-
went to bed a 730am, woke up at 130pm. Went back to bed at 430pm, woke up at 8pm. Oh the joys of the night shift
-
living in the asshole of hell (Texass)
Word, brutha.
-
Hell sometimes I don't sleep for days.
-
6.30 AM on work days.
-
I need to sort my sleep pattern out. It used to be waking up at about 6:40, which was brilliant and amazing, but these days, I'm pretty reliably between 9:50 and 10:20, and I keep also waking up for long periods at stupid times, but yeah, hopefully I'll get back into earliness.
-
I woke up at noon today after a much-needed binge last night. I feel great and will hopefully feel even better once I get this gumbo down my gullet.
