I was going to say something like having your entire family and all two of your friends raped and tortured in front of your eyes whilst your laying in a glass tomb filled with cockroaches while two executioners (in costume only, as death is too good for you) saw each of your protrusions (including that little noodle between your legs and/or your meat muffin) with rusty butter knives. Then, as you are about to bleed out, your stumps are all cauterized, you are taken out of the tomb only to have a glass helmet placed on your head and the floor opens up beneath your feet and you fall into a seemingly endless pit of boiling water (not hot enough to kill you) and you sink to your steaming watery grave, waiting to fall far enough for the pressure to break open that glass helmet and grant you death. Finally.

I just read about a Japanese worker injured in the Tokaimura nuclear accident. He was fine for about 10 days, but his chromosomes were shattered so his cells couldn't replicate. His skin fell off. His white blood cells, muscle fiber, mucous membranes, bone marrow, and intestines were completely destroyed. With constant skin grafts and blood transfusions, he lasted 83 days. The only organ not damaged was his heart. :'(

Being serious - chained up, watching your family being slowly disected (while alive) before your eyes, then being starved with meager rations until you are all shriveled up and bony (your hands are tied and you can't work out in your cell or anything), then your limbs are burnt off one by one, then you get Big Brother'd and a rat eats your face off, chewing through your cheek and eating your tongue (after it's eaten your eyes). I'm not sure when you actually die but probably soon after that.

Isn't it possible to just literally be in so much pain that your brain can't handle it anymore and you simply die? Someone more intelligent than me can clarify, I'm sure, but I would suspect that overdose of pain would objectively be the worst way to die.

Buried alive. I mean actually buried in a coffin or box, with no light, and enough air to last lets say about 30 mins. I'd go insane within 5 mins.

I had a weird nightmare a few nights ago where there was this perfectly round gaping hole in the ground that was probably a good 15-20 feet across and it was completely dirt/soil inside as though someone had excavated it in the same manner you'd create the hole on a putting green on a golf course just on a much larger scale.
The conditions were that you'd be lowered a good 50 or 100 feet into it (maybe deeper...after all, I was just eyeballing the distance) and you'd be left for dead with the only chance at survival being climbing these crumbly, flat dirt walls that had no textural grips to work with and you were also given no climbing gear either. Also, you had to do this in absolute pitch black darkness. So dark that it stops even looking black as your mind begins to imagine darker shades of brown, blue, or grey in a futile attempt to escape the harrowing grimness of the matter at hand.
On top of all this, there were vermin typical of a sewery ecosystem running about that you would only be able to hear and not see once they shut off the lights.

One of the worst I've heard about is tying someone up and gagging them, heating a glass Coke bottle, shoving it up their ass, and then pouring freezing water in/on it so it shatters/explodes. Then just leave them there.

I hear ya. I used to have a terrible fear of depths because of an irrational fear of running out of breath before I could surface. I think I was literally 14 before I ever jumped into water deeper than 5 feet even though I would swim in the deep end of pools as deep as 10+ feet without feeling all that worried.
