For whatever reason some, and only some, women seem to think I'm a pushover or maybe they're bullies anyway. It gets to the point that they don't respect your "no" and use criticism or manipulation to get around it or bring you down. My answer is to tighten up my standards and values even more, to try to put their behaviour into view. I also was reading 2 Corinthians where Paul says "when I'm weak then I am strong" and talks about "boasting in my weakness". In other words, total honesty and congruence, reducing himself to zero to find truth (as Gandhi said 2000 years later).
Any comments from Christians or serious advice from anybody else?
-
Define "bring you down"?
Toughen up and disregard them. This is serious advice, others may not be as kind. You need thicker skin.
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to "grow a pair". :tup I used to be like that in early high school. You're being too nice. Women can easily sense this and will take advantage of you. That's why they are attracted to alpha males and not "nice" guys because they see them as weak. Walk with your head up high and ALWAYS maintain eye contact. Make sure that she is the one that looks away from you, not you first.

If you're uncomfortable with the way women are treating you, say so. You're a man. You can say what you want.
If they still don't honor your requests, there's no reason to spend time with these people.

Mods. Please. Really? PR? ???

He did say 'Christians'. ;)

Uh oh, are we sure Andy has access to GD?

Call her fat.
Make fun of her makeup (if she is wearing too much, or insinuate that she is ugly and needs to wear more).
Call her fat again.

Ask if she is pregnant or just fat.

Or, just show her all the threads here on DTF. That should do it methinks.

No, the best way to do this is to just ask "what's your due date?" :corn

Jeez remind me never to get on the wrong side of any of you guys, my self-esteem will be in tatters :P

I'd only be mean to you as a defense mechanism since I probably wouldn't get a date from a beautiful DT fan. Pre-emptive strike.
-

Don't worry, nobody here is low enough to insult a pregnant woman. When are you due? :neverusethis:
Please don't hurt me. I'm physically weak.

Congratulations blob, you've made it onto my hit list. It's very exclusive, you should be proud.

:lol

Congratulations, you've made it onto my list of people whose hit list I am on. I'd like to say it's fairly exclusive, but it's a much longer list than I'd like to admit.
If it makes you feel better, you're positively glowing today.
oh boy......
-
Andy, the question should be "how to prevent a woman from bullying you in the 1st place." If it needs to be stopped then it's gone too far already. :hat
-
Hmm a long list means more competition for me to get my hands on you first. I'm pretty sure I can do it though, nobody can get in the way of a pissed off pregnant Scot.

I should also mention that women, in general, like to be pushed around a little bit. So you may get some action out of the deal.

.....nobody can get in the way of a pissed off <snip> Scot.
The new tagline for Pixar's Brave....
;D

Lube up your fist and make it easy for her to shit. That'll show 'em.
-
Cmon guys, he should just shit in her cereal.

If you find the right partner for you, you won't experience such issues. You are obviously a passive guy. Their are women out there that will connect with you. You and aggresive woman are not a good match.
Simple as that.

Tick has a good point, I know because I am very similar in nature, but tend to find myself attracted to aggressive woman. For me, I need to find one that's aggressive in a positive way, instead of one who is aggressive out of insecurity.
On a sidenote, we need an AndyDT subforum.
-
Yup. Tick is dead on. She's not your type. Move on. Tick is Obi Wan Kenobi
"These aren't the aggressive girls your looking for."

Don't know why, but this really sent me over the edge! :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol
As for Andy, if she is bullying you.... just tease her a bit.
My girlfriend asked me to tease her last night. I said, "alright fatty".

Take her to your kitchen she will make you a delicious sandwich.

Thank you for that. I'm absolutely and defnitively doing these things or will work on them harder particularly not holding onto offences (which I understand to mean mentally releasing rather than not taking action, setting boundaries etc).

Here you go, Andy. Some words of wisdom.

Also, about the AndyDT subforum... YES!

I'm not religious, but tell her to knock it off. If she's making you feel bad, just say so. But she's not going to listen to you if you insult, hurt, or yell at her. "Hell hath seen no fury like a woman scorned" and it's true.
-
How do you stop a woman from bullying you?
Well, here's a tip,

How do you stop a girl from bullying you. Conk her on the head.
Serious answer, Andy, it seems to me that you are passive in relationships, so the are trying two things,
1. Get a rise out of you
2. Trying to motivate you
But if these girls are not right for you, (and that's true for many people looking for relationships) Opt out. Tell them in the kindest way that you are not interested.

It's humorous to me how unhelpful this thread became as soon as it was switched to GD.
Imagine what Andy's other threads would look like had they been switched as well.

The location isn't the key, it's just that more people are willing to chime in outside of P/R, which is probably the big reason Andy posts non P/R topics in P/R anyway, it's like keeping it in the family.

Aye. I feel perfectly secure in my sexual orientation of being straight, yet still find myself oddly attracted to him. Yet unfortunately, he has no self-esteem and is constantly being bullied by women.

Sawyer from Lost, oh gawd :lol my grandmother has a SERIOUS crush on him, to the point where she stuck pictures of him all over her work place and set him as her desktop background on her PC. She has a picture of him in a picture frame, like he's her son or something, and even has an action figure of him. :lol Never have found him very attractive though.
-
Ahahaha that sounds like a pretty big crush :lol Yeah he's not my usual type but I most definitely wouldn't say no.
-
Seriously, who is that guy?
:corn
He played Sawyer in Lost. He was also in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
