Hello guys. Welcome to my roulette. If you're expecting a super-bombastic roulette with intricate plot twists, stunning visuals, and swift 3D action, you've come to the wrong place. This is just a good old fashioned roulette, although I might add a few interesting rounds if I get ideas.
Anyways, no music sites here, so this might be a challenge for you. So here is a list of off limits bands alphabetized for your convenience (note that "The's" are in Ts and "A's" are in As. That's how the alphabetizer did it):

THE FIRST ROUND IS:
Send me something with a string instruments. Violin, viola, cello, double bass. It can be at any point, or any amount of instruments, although I prefer if it's in the focus at least a little at when it's there (or if it's for the whole song). Good luck guys. :heart :heart :heart
-
Yay, more roulettes. First round song sent.
-
inb4 Nekov sends the best song.
-
Well he does have a music taste quite in touch with my proggy tastes. Haha.
-
Ravenheart is now in as well because he's cool and stuff. :)
-
dis mah ride dis mah crib dese mah hoes
-
Inb4 Z wins.
-
I think the fact that Zander won Nick's roulette, then won mine largely with songs that I'm pretty sure Nick would hate tells me that aside from having musical taste, he is very good at zeroing in on what people like.
Also, sent.
-
Oh, and the max time for a song is 20 minutes.
Listening to the first 3 songs sent, I can already tell this is gonna be a tough one.
-
well Im a tad confused..you want something with string instruments...in it...but then said double base...as in..base cello's?
heaven help me in this roullette.
-
well Im a tad confused..you want something with string instruments...in it...but then said double base...as in..base cello's?
heaven help me in this roullette.
I assume you are right. I know it as double bass, but yeah it's basically the largest of the string instruments.
-
well...at least I got the instruments right.
I went with an old classic.

I need to think through today!
But I'm a player in roulette ... YAY!!!!

Really looking forward to this one! :D
I'll have a think and send you something tonight.

Nice. I love when roulettes start on a good rythm

Alright, here are your writeups. I really enjoyed every song sent, so this was hard for me.
5 points:
Gorille: Ulver - Eos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9kGpx88MoE)
Holy christ was this ever good. It was very dark and depressing throughout, and the last few minutes when the strings got louder was just perfect ending to the song (and reminded me sorta of Sigur Ros, only with a deep voiced singer). I find Garm (that's what he's called, right?) has a very unique kind of deepness in his voice, and it really complimented the music well. 5 points for you! :)
4 points:
DTVT: Grayceon - Shellmounds (https://grooveshark.com/s/Shellmounds/3FP32I?src=5)
I've been pretty interested in checking this band out for a while now. This was a really awesome and epic proggy metal song, and I found the cello to be very effective in making the song what it was. I gotta say the intro was my favourite part, it's really a fantastic way to lead into the rest of the song. 4 points. :)
kari: Vampire Weekend - M79 (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/M79/1WmJ8Q?src=5)
This song made me :D all over. The strings gave it this really cool baroque pop feel and this was just simply a really cheery song. I'm interested in checking this band out now. :)
3 points:
obscure: Lyriel - Paranoid Circus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_N3umQUhss)
This was quite a cool song. The girl had quite a beautiful voice and the strings really complimented the rest of the music well and gave it a cool, dark, creepy feel. They seem like a really interesting band that I might have to check out. :)
Ravenheart: Emilie Simon - Sweet Blossom (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Sweet+Blossom/3FRjAg?src=5)
This was an enjoyable song. She sounded kinda like Kate Bush for a bit, but I stopped thinking that part way through the song, haha. Kinda reminds me of Emilie Autumn in a way, only less   .
Nekov: Darryl Way's Wolf - Two Sisters (https://grooveshark.com/s/Two+Sisters/4eCToJ?src=5)
A great 70's prog song. He's a great violinist and he performed nicely on this track. I don't know what else to say other than I enjoyed it. :)
2 points:
YtseBitsySpider: Psycho theme (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-6q50aY4ZI)
This was an interesting submission to say the least. It was short, creepy song, as it's obviously going for, and I enjoyed it.
AcidLameLTE: Clint Mansell - Death is the Road to Awe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FDAkpQSJVA)
I'm sure this is much better than I'm giving it credit for. I thought it was quite beautiful and the last bit was great. Maybe it took a while to get to that point though for me.
1 point:
ariich: Tori Amos - Battle of Trees (https://grooveshark.com/s/Battle+Of+Trees/4bGOHz?src=5)
Sorry bro. I've been interested in checking out Tori for some time now but never have. It was a nice song and all and I enjoyed it, but I think it might have overstayed itself just a tad. Still, nothing to dissolve my interests in her.

Round 2:
Up here in Canada, it is still very much winter (and maybe down in the states or UK or wherever else you guys are from, I don't know). I want a song you interpret as carrying a wintery feel in the music. gogogo
-
Glad you liked it. This round will be tough as I hate winter.
-
Yeah I understand it might be hard for some. If you really can't think of a pure winter song, just thing of something vaguely winter-esque.
-
This round is the perfect opportunity for a Tori Amos redemption from someone, hint hint
-
YAY! Glad that you liked! :)
I like the new theme for some reason... although nothing came to mind right away... but I like to go through my library anyway!
-
This round is the perfect opportunity for a Tori Amos redemption from someone, hint hint
Haha. I could totally see myself going for a shorter song like that, just that one went a little long.
-
Cool, glad you liked it. :)
I have tons of what I consider winter songs so it'll be hard to pick one!
-
Sent song. Expectig the lowest score.

LE RESULTS!
5 points:
AcidRainLTE: Susanne Sundfřr - White Foxes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCIaj-oLi28)
I am moderately familiar with Susanne. I've heard a couple songs, but have never really dove right into her music. This song was really, really awesome. Susanne has a really awesome voice and this song had a really cool chorus. And it did have a sort of winter feel, which the music video sort of accentuates. Great one. :D
4 points:
Ravenheart: Anathema - Emotional Winter (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Emotional+Winter/4tUeBM?src=5)
The guitar in this song was heavenly. :heart I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of Shine On You Crazy Diamond sort of in the intro, and it created that nice atmosphere, and it was indeed wintery. Melikey. :)
obscure: Ihsahn - The Pain Is Still Mine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR9rwtaa6wc)
I've heard a couple Ihsahn songs before. He's a really talented guy, and I really like his vocals. It shows in this song. :) He's also quite a good guitarist and has a cool moment in this song. It was a great one. :)
3 points:
DTVT: Dec Burke - Winter to Summer
This song had a pretty interesting sound to it. It was like it was at an intersection between classic rock, modern rock, and electronic music. The chorus was probably my favourite part of this one, it sounds quite nice. It does carry a sort of wintery feel, but in a way I can't really describe. It was a nice song though.
Gorille85: Antonio Vivaldi - L'inverno (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH4oGJcCzdM)
This was not the kind of song I expected from you, haha. It's a classic really, I've never heard it in it's entirety though, just bits and pieces of it. It's really quite a nice piece, although I've never been a huge classical music fan. I enjoyed this one a fair amount. :)
Nekov: Brian Eno - Spirits Drifting (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Spirits+Drifting/4bEMyM?src=5)
Brian Eno is someone I keep forgetting to fully check out. I own Before and After Science, and I love the more ambien tracks. However the poppy tracks are downright dreadful mostly due to the fact this guy is one of the worst singers I have ever heard. I like this one though, it sounded quite nice.
2 points:
ariich: God is an Astronaut - Snowfall (https://grooveshark.com/s/Snowfall/2D8upB?src=5)
I've heard a few songs from these guys and to be honest they all sounded similar to this. :lol But really, it's a good tune. The build-up was well executed and all.
kari: This Will Destroy You - Three-Legged Workhorse (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/A+Three+Legged+Workhorse/21VQ35?src=5)
This one was good, really. I could have done with it being a bit shorter though, but I still enjoyed it definitely. It carried the wintery feel well and the idea was well executed, but yeah it was a bit long I guess.
1 point:
YtseBitsySpider: Badlands - Winter's Call (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IepGiupfguM)
Okay so I guess this probably just wasn't my kind of music. :lol But it was actually alright. This actually gave me a slight interest in this band because while they're not my style at all whatsoever, this song was okay. And it definitely did feel wintery to me.

Here you guys go!
5 points:
Ravenheart: Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows - In Der Palustra (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/In+Der+Palustra/3DJ1w7?src=5)
I'll admit, I've always been a sucker for vibrato in someones voice, even if some may see it as overdone, I've always thought it sounded great. This guy really had tons of it, and I could see some saying he had too much, but I thought it really complimented the song well. It was a bleak song, but it was quite awesome I must say and I enjoyed it greatly. :)
4 points:
YtseBitsySpider: Theocracy - Laying the Demon to Rest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvm98B6jgz4)
This song was insanely epic and :metal :metal. The lyrics aren't my thing, but the music itself was insanely awesome. I thought the singer, while some might find him cliche, I thought he performed greatly and added much to the song.
DTVT: The Anabasis - Rome (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXLFrWOKOz8)
This is kirksnosehair's band IIRC, right? This was quite a powerful epic, and pretty much has everything you'd expect in a good prog epic. Awesome technical instrumental sections with a nice dose of pomposity. I really enjoyed the guitar and organ solos in this song tons, and the singer ain't too shabby either.
3 points:
ariich: The Flower Kings - Painter (https://grooveshark.com/s/Painter/3GeGIG?src=5)
I am slightly familiar with TFK and enjoy them, but they're a band I keep forgetting to further explore, and it's been quite a while since I've listened. Anyways, this was an enjoyable tune and it had nice lyrics. You're increasing by 1 point every roulette round. :lol
kari: Movie (Never Made) - A Silver Mt. Zion (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Movie+Never+Made/1p5sYd?src=5)
This is a band I keep forgetting to listen to, being a huge GY!BE fan. The only song I've heard is Iron Bridge to Thunder Bay, which I listened to solely based on the fact my city's name is in the title. :lol Anyways, this was quite a pretty song. It was short, but just the length I feel it needed to be. :)
AcidLameLTE: Caravan Palace - Jolie Coquine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE7XkaFFtGE)
The music video for this was creepy as hell. The song was pretty happy and catchy though, and I enjoyed it and the jazzyness of it was quite nice.
2 points:
Gorille85: O+S - New Life (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJM11mo3UeQ)
This was quite a beautiful song really, and the vocals were quite nice. I don't know what else to say but it was a nice song.
Nekov: Iluvatar - In the Eye (https://grooveshark.com/s/In+The+Eye/1S91W9?src=5)
Hmm I've never heard of these guys. This song was pretty good though, although Neo Prog has never been my thing, aside from Marillion and IQ. I liked the vocalist too.
1 point:
obscure: Angra - Morning Star (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL2ltA2JuhY)
So, I really did enjoy this song. The vocalist was really awesome too. I guess the song was just slightly less great than the rest of the submissions. Being an open round, it was a difficult choice. D:

ROUND 4: Send me something short. Very short. Under 3 minutes to be exact.

Are Spotify links ok? The track I want to send isn't on Grooveshark.
EDIT: Also, glad you dug it, you should definitely check them out properly!
-
:(
Under 3 minutes is hard. Will need to go through my catalogue and see what I can find.
-
Agreed.
but.
Perhaps we can establish a "give zone".
I submitted a song in Nick's roulette that was 3:01 and received ZERO as my score.
I have a 2:56 one, which is a bit of an intro piece that might work.
Or I have a good tune that is 3:07

ariich: Petter Carlsen - Cornerstone
This song really seemed to do a lot in it's short length. It started soft, built up to a climax, and then let go. Pretty simple structure, but very effectively pulled off. The strings when it got loud were insanely beautiful too. Great one. :)
4 points:
Nekov: Marco Minneman - Isn't it Ol? (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Isn+t+It+Ol/3YfXrh?src=5)
This was a really fun little jam to listen to. :) All the instruments performed greatly and it was enjoyable musically too. Marco Minneman really is a great drummer.
Gorille85: The Prescription - Watch the Giants Fall (https://destroyallimposters.bandcamp.com/track/watch-the-giants-fall)
So this isn't normally my kind of music, but it turned out to be a pretty awesome song. Really :metal in it's own sense and fun to listen to.
3 points:
AcidRainLTE: Faith No More - Surprise! You're Dead! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCdUfAE5Rz8)
While I love Mr. Bungle, I haven't really delved into Faith No More much, hearing a few songs here and there that weren't really my cup of tea. This song was pretty different then the ones I've heard, and was a lot more aggressive. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
kari: The xx - Islands (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Islands/3gjUoz?src=5)
So this was some pretty enjoyable indie pop. :) I liked both vocalists quite a bit and musically it was a stellar song.
YtseBitsySpider: A Traitor Like Judas - We Only Live As Long As We Choose To Carry On (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMGDgxpkD_s)
So this was pretty straightforward metalcore/melodeath. But I enjoyed it quite a bit really. I've only heard a couple metalcore bands I can tolerate, but these guys were pretty good. :)
2 points:
Ravenheart: Florence + the Machine - My Boy Builds Coffins (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/My+Boy+Builds+Coffins/3vxrz6?src=5)
So, this song is a lot better than the points give credit for. This just happened to be an amazing round. :P I enjoyed the guitar quite a bit. I've heard a song or two from this band before, and they're quite good. This is no exception. :)
obscure: Band of Skulls - Lies (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpZ9rIjRbKE)
Same as above. Great song, just got a little lost in the mix of an amazing round. This song gave me major Led Zeppelin feelings, and while I hate LZ, I think the girls voice made up for it. I think she's a great singer. :)
1 point:
DTVT: Slough Feg - Free Market Barbarian (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kL2IbTpy2ZU)
So I've heard Slough Feg before, although I can't recall which song. I hear talk that they're a 90s band, which is funny as they feel a lot more like an 80s metal band. This song was enjoyable for sure, but I guess it kinda lost out to the others. :sadpanda:

Round 5: I did this round last time. And now I'm doing it again because it was my favourite round last time. :D Send me something weird/odd. Take that as you will. Don't worry about it being too weird for me. For christsakes, I listen to this! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhEX8rqJEWs)
-
Also, I'd like to thank you all for being so great at being punctual with your sendings! :D This roulette is going at a great speed.

Zeuhl is a hell of a genre. ;)

Cocaine is a helluva drug.
-
oh you'll get weird alright
-
Note: No duplicate bands, unless the band got 2 points or less.

haha awesome
-
DAMN!!!! I had something brilliant for this round.... but my bloody band is on the list! Nooooooooooooo!!!
-
:D
-
Just want to say that Cornerstone is just beautiful. One of Petter Carlsen's best, and possibly one of my all time favorite instrumentals.
-
:D
Weird this round will be
-
Just want to say that Cornerstone is just beautiful. One of Petter Carlsen's best, and possibly one of my all time favorite instrumentals.
It really is amazing, probably my second favourite on that album behind Spirits in Need.
Will have a think about weird music. Having sent you Scott Walker in your last roulette, I'll need to come up with something else this time.

No. It hasn't even been 20 hours yet.

i was casually asking that's all ;) ;)

Is this being graded on how weird or how good? The only weird songs I have that don't suck are Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, which is on the no-no list. The rest are joke songs and not representative of the bands sound. They're more funny than anything. Oh, there is also a Scandanavian folk song done by a metal band, but it's only weird in comparison to their "real" music.
-
I am hoping he is judging by weirdness.
-
I am hoping he is judging by weirdness.
If so I'll win hands down. ;)
-
I was going to send some Galexia in honor of our own Adami here, but.....went with one of my roulette staples...hopefully the synth plynths can wrap their tentacles around LL.
-
I'm still judging by good.

No chance
I'm still judging by good.
Crap
-
Don't worry. I love weirdness, so something really weird could have a plus factor easily.

I read that as "The rest are joke songs and representative of my band's sound" then loved the joke and laughed hard.

Hey now, I sent on time, it's not my fault a new rule was introduced that if two people send the same artist in a round, one of them has to send again.
Anyway, I've now re-sent.

Oh and yes, Mason knows what's up. :lol

Rich, why must you do this to us?

hey LLTWM, you're roulette is moving pretty fast (except Rich) however next week I'll be going on vacation and probably won't be logging into the forum at all. Do you already know how many rounds you will do and what the themes will be? I'd like to send you the songs in advance.

I was thinking 8 rounds, but I'm not sure what they are. I'll come up with something though and send.

Cool thanks

Results soon?? ;)
-
YEAH, JORDAN.
-
Yeah yeah tonight. :P I'll say now though, this is the best round yet and I don't think any other round will top it.
-
HARDEST.
RANKINGS.
EVER.
So much so that I'm bending the rules a bit. I hope you guys don't mind.
5 points:
obscure: Sigh - The Transfiguration Fear (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dqKbzRqc5g)
I've heard much of these guys from our very own Alex (lateralus). Never bothered to check them out though. Anyway, it was a really awesome and pretty wacky song. Everything odd in the song worked perfectly to make the song better and didn't seem like "LOOK AT US WE'RE STRANGE" at all. Just genuine, creative music. I loved it.
4 points:
Nekov: Area - Brujo
So I've heard a few Area songs before. At first, I thought this was a cover of a National Health song and I'd have to reject you again, but it wasn't the case. :lol Anyway, they're a really good band in the RPI scene from what I've heard, but this might be my favourite song I've heard thus far from them. It had a very detached and odd feel, but I love it when it's done right, and it definitely was all the way through here.
DTVT: Spiral Architect - Spinning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sobVnsf0X3c)
Heard much about these guys, never checked em out though. This song was insanely technical, which is pretty much the odd thing about it. It's all over the place. But it was entertaining as hell. The singer was kind of cliche, but he fit the song so it worked. Oh, and DAT BASS. :metal :metal Some of the best bass playing I've heard. Left me very interested in the band.
3 points:
ariich: Fantomas - Rosemary Baby (https://grooveshark.com/s/Rosemary+s+Baby/2O33QN?src=5)
So, Fantomas song #1 (BTW, the issue wasn't sending the same band in a round, I'm fine with that. It was just he send FNM last round and it scored 3 or more points). This song was creepy, and Patton was amazing. He's really a one-of-a-kind vocalist. I don't have much else to say, but I loved this. :) Can you guess who send the other Fantomas song?
Ravenheart: Chiasm - Embryonic (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Embryonic/3Jdy7F?src=5)
You forever increase my interest in the goth/industrial scene. This was a great song. She has a really...I really can't come up with an adjective for her voice, but it's great. I loved the songs use of samples as well.
kari: Mum - They Made Frogs Smoke Til They Exploded (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/They+Made+Frogs+Smoke+Til+They+Exploded/1t5Ob9?src=5)
So at first I didn't think it was great, but it started building. And it really turned into a wonderful song. So now I guess I appreciate it's entirety. Really great song. :D And yes, quite weird.
YtseBitsySpider: Ozric Tentacles - The Hidden Step (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9pvlBuOZJw&feature=related)
OH GOD JORDAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CAN'T GIVE 4 SONGS 3 POINTS WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU
Well I really can't decide. It ain't possible. This song was awesome really. I'm slightly familiar with the Ozrics, but never went right in. This song had a really cool blend of styles all around. It wasn't super odd, but it had elements of oddness. Great song.
2 points:
AcidRainLTE: Fantomas - The Godfather (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdZccCC-O8s)
Of course. :lol You guys sure love Patton. Well this one was a lot different from the other one, but maybe slightly less good. This one was more explosive and aggressive, but it was a really satisfying listen. Loved it. :)
Gorille: Limbo Central - Fattoria
OH GOD NO ONES GETTING THE HUMILIATING 1 POINT SONG WHAT ARE YOU DOING I QUIT
Shut up. Anyways, this is like Satan's farm right here, and I dug it, don't get me wrong. In any other round this would've scored higher, but this just so happens to be the best round ever. Really interesting composition Marc, I'm interested in more for sure.

Also
Spiral Architect - Spinning :heart
Fantomas - Rosemary Baby :heart

Ahhh, ok that makes more sense, I hadn't actually noticed that! I apologise for my sulking. ;)
Can you guess who send the other Fantomas song?
:lol Harry was the one who introduced me to them. Glad you dug it!
-
Sounds like a typical Richard Jones excuse.
I'm still pissed he tried to kill Robocop.
Two pages late, but just had to show this joke some appreciation.
carry on.....

I was not very sure about the band but glad you liked it. I love how the roulette is pretty close.
-
Thank you lonestar. I'm glad somebody else appriciated it.

The nice thing about Spiral Architect is that you can buy their whole discography relatively cheaply.
The crappy thing about Spiral Architect is that their whole discography is one album.

Hmmm, this may be a difficult round for me because I pretty much sing along to anything. Even the:

Considering he got two songs in the last 24 hours...I would hope not today. Maybe I'm weird, but I listened to everything at least four times, except the first round of my last roulette, which was 30 songs and I still listened at least three times, more if I really liked it.

Ravenheart: Depeche Mode - Walkin In My Shoes (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Walking+In+My+Shoes/4hgHQc?src=5)
So I don't really know how to describe why I loved this song, but I did tons. It was quite catchy and yes it was sing-y. My mom likes these guys quite a bit and the stuff I've heard her play is cool as well. Might have to get more into these guys.
4 points:
kari: Editors - No Sound But the Wind (Live at Rock Werchter 2010) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXUCFk8VJFY)
This was a very powerful performance. The guy at 2:48 pretty much sums that up. Very emotional song that I really felt. The piano was great and the guy has a good voice. Loved it. :)
ariich: Bizali - Nothing to Lose
:D What a fun song! The girl has a great voice, and the song had this wonderful little upbeat feel to it that I loved. Amazing how great the unsigned bands out there can be.
3 points:
Nekov: Von Hertzen Brothers - Gloria (https://grooveshark.com/s/Gloria/4xAqgz?src=5)[/url]
Mmm this was a great song. It was very interesting and had a good vocalist. I don't know what else to say.
YtseBitsySpider: Devil Driver - End of the Line (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeVd_XmB3MA&feature=related)
This was pretty straightforward metal, but I liked it a lot. :metal :metal The vocals were cool, and the song had a great energy. Just an awesome :metal song.
AcidRainLTE: Florence + the Machine - Dog Days Are Over (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWOyfLBYtuU)
I know a girl who loves this song, but I've never listened. It was a great song, and the louder parts were great and definitely sing-y. :) Loved it.
2 points:
DTVT: Leprous - Bilateral (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-1QXC49LxE)
I've heard about this band quite a bit, but I've never looked into them. I liked the singer a lot, and this song had a lot of power behind it it seemed.
Gorille85: Sander Van Doorn - Love is Darkness (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Love+Is+Darknes+Interlude/4bhmui?src=5)
So I'm almost 100% new to trance. This song was pretty good, but I think it should have been trimmed down a bit. Other than that, it was nice, I liked when the vocals came in.
1 points:
obscure: Hardcore Superstar - We Don't Need A Cure (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHqmVZt5vw4)
So this one was alright. The wordless section was pretty good and all. Nothing much else to say I find. I really don't have much to say about songs this round. :lol

Round 7: So let's make it interesting. Wager points between 1-7. If I like the song enough (lets say if it'd score 7 or more points on a scale of 1-10), you win those points. If not, you lose. However, seeing as how the open round was great success, I think you guys know my tastes too much for me to make it that easy. Since we already used so many 7s this round, let's make it something that is 7:xx minutes long. Silly idea I know. I'm not always that creative. :lol
-
I think you meant to list Gorille and me as 2 points, not 3, but I'm sure we'll take 3.
I have 577 songs that are 7:xx long :lol

OKAY HERE ARE YOUR PRECIOUS RESULTS
Gorille85: This one was really cool. The production had an eerie feel to it and the song developed nicely and all. Very nice. I'd score it 8/10, so you win your 7 points. Her Name is Calla - Pour More Oil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJGHJaGlpm4)
DTVT: This one wasn't bad. The musicianship was good and all and the vocals didn't bother me, but not much in it really interested me all that much. Sorry. :/ I'd give 6/10, so you lose 7. Enslaved - Lunar Force (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km5RBvIyIf4)
Nekov: I really liked the keyboards in this one, the man is a fantastic keyboardist. Unfortunately, I think it may have overstayed itself just a bit, but it was still pretty good.. I'd give 6/10, so you lose 7. Pablo El Enterrador - La Herencia de Pablo (https://grooveshark.com/s/La+Herencia+De+Pablo/2fmucP?src=5)
AcidRainLTE: This has to be the first A7X song I've heard that I liked. It was quite nice, and the drummer played great throughout. Enjoyed it. 7.5/10, so you win the measly 2 you wagered. :P Avenged Sevenfold - Sidewinder (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GCCKt_Z1q8)
Ravenheart:I enjoyed this one a good bit. Not my kind of music really, but it played out nicely and I enjoyed it. :) It was a simple song, but effective. 7.5/10, you win 7 points. VNV Nation - Beloved (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Beloved/2fogb6?src=5)
obscure: I know Sleepytime Gorilla Museum well, but never thought to check these guys out. This wasn't the kind of music I was expecting, haha. It was still weird and quirky, but it was funky. Dat bass! :metal :metal 9/10. You win 5 points. Idiot Flesh - Housewife (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUqUHfKA_Xg&feature=related)
kari:This is funny, because I've never really been fond of either of these bands, but this was quite a beautiful song I must say. I could totally understand why these two would collaborate, and it really worked great here. 9/10 :) You win 4 points. Sun O))) and Boris - The Sinking Belle (Blue Sheep) (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/The+Sinking+Belle+Blue+Sheep/2ClBCm?src=5)
YtseBitsySpider:Yet another band I've never been able to get into but a good song from them. The guitar solo was really :metal :metal and the whole song was just proggy goodness. 8.5/10. You win 4 points. Riverside - Driven to Destruction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfXL2aOu9ME)
ariich:I've definitely heard Kaipa before. Not this one though. It was good, I liked. The vocals and instrumentation were all good, just like it should be. Nice song. 7/10. You win 5. Kaipa - Otherwordly Brights

FINAL ROUND:This is the final round. Another different point ranking round, your songs will be scored from 1-15, and you will get the number of points I give. So 2 of you can't win, but try to kick ass anyway and get as much points as possible. :metal It's all for impressing me. As for the criteria, I want something with a kickass outro. Let's do this!

Here are your results:
Nekov: Pendragon - Masters of Illusion (https://grooveshark.com/s/Masters+Of+Illusion/4de1Ea?src=5)
It was pretty great. I didn't like the vocals much, but the music and all was pretty interesting. 10 points.
obscure: Peeping Tom - Five Seconds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apyj6H50QBU)
A pretty cool song. :) I don't know how to describe it, but it was a cool and enjoyable song. 12 points.
Gorille85: Mothlite - Zebras (https://emailunlock.com/kscope-burningshed/mothlite-zebras)
Yes good yes very good. It was a cool electronic-y rock song. I liked the vocals and all too. 12 points.
AcidRainLTE: Protest the Hero - Blindfolds Aside (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NZqm1SGASg)
It was okay I mean I don't really like this band so much but it was an okay song. 8 points.
DTVT: Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjAxCx95mO8)
If I looked up the word "cheesy" in the dictionary there would be a small speaker beside the definition that would play this song every time the page was turned to. Still, while cheesy, the song was epic as fuck, and was a very enjoyable 14 minutes with a great outro. 14 points.
YtseBitsySpider: Pagan's Mind - Entrance to Infinity (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4qaj6Df9q0)
This is the band I always make fun of for their little DT ripoff in one of their songs! :D I actually haven't heard much from them though. This was pretty good. Not amazing, but good. 10 points.
Ravenheart: Gary Numan - Absolution (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Absolution/3qb6xO?src=5)
This was a cool song. :) I like this guys vocals and stuff. Not much else to say but it was good. 12 points
kari: Kyte - These Tales Of Our Stay (https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/These+Tales+Of+Our+Stay/1XslBF?src=5)
This was my favourite. :D This was a just plain beautiful song that I enjoyed throughout, and the outro was fantastic. A perfect 15 points. :)
ariich: Frost* - Black Light Machine
I've heard a song or two from these guys. The outro was really, really awesome. :metal The rest wasn't as good, but still great. :) 13 points.

So yeah, that's all. :) Congrats Zander for your 58944th win. I gotta say the wager round really screwed up these standings. :lol But oh well. Zander woulda won anyway. If you finished low, don't fret. Everyone did well and introduced me to some cool stuff. :) So yeah, it was fun. Have a nice day.
