I'm trying to find a good source to get news from on the internet because I think I should pay attention to the things going on in the world more than I have been. So where do you go to get the news on the internet?
-
nytimes.com
-
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/
-
Sorry...here's a link.
https://www.nytimes.com (https://www.nytimes.com)

Bloomberg and Reuters are great sources from my experience, although they are obviously more political/business/finance leaning. Upside to this is you don't read about a murder or a crime every second article, you just get the stuff that matters (not that I'm saying crimes don't matter, just in terms of finding out whats going on in the world).

Either the forums or yahoo honestly :P.
If i'm particularly interested in an event i'll look into other news sites also.
-
Use a customized google or yahoo start page, and add a bunch of rss feeds. Mine has 5 headlines each from Reuters, CNN, FOX and 8 from Google's top stories which come from everywhere. Plus, Science, tech, NFL and Cowboys news from Yahoo, and and the day's articles from Wired. Pretty well rounded assortment over the course of the day.
-
Al Jazeera and The Daily
-
Daily Show, NPR, forums.
Occasionally Yahoo
-
www.cnn.com (https://www.cnn.com)
www.wired.co.uk (https://www.wired.co.uk)
-
www.bourque.org
major world headlines with an ephasis on local Canadian
and
links to nearly every daily and magazine you've ever heard of
-
foxnews.com
-
BBC, NPR, Yahoo and a local news stations website (NBC affiliate)

Newspapers. No, I'm not kidding, I still get my paper delivered. Nothing like the morning smoke with the sports page, a habit I will never give up.(maybe the smoke, but not the sports page)
-
I watch my local fox station for local news. National/International I watch Daily Show and Colbert, yahoo news occasionally, but generally from message boards I frequent. As someone else said, if it is something specific I want to find out about, I'll search for it.
-
I find CNN.com to be pretty even-handed.
-
I get the Boston Herald delivered, and my homepage is set to MSN.
-
I watch abc/good morning america when I'm getting ready for work, and read cnn.com throughout the day.
-
Yahoo and the stupid Facebook app that I didn't mean to click on that tells me what all my friends are reading.
And this thread reminds me...does anyone remember the DTF member that used to dig up the funniest and craziest news stories and post them here for us? I don't think he's still around and I can't remember his name, but his contributions are missed.
