I was thinking about getting one of those irig things just to screw around with on my ipad and/or iphone. For those who don't know, it's an adapter that allows you to plug your guitar into your ipad or iphone and use it with music apps.
It seems like a cool idea to be able to have effects on the go at all times on my phone. I'm sure they won't sound amazing, but just for screwing around I think it will be fun.
I noticed they have Garageband in the App Store for $5 and one called Amplitube for $20 that looks pretty cool too, though $20 seems like it might be a little much especially after dropping $30 on the irig connector too.
Has anyone here tried the Irig? Have you tried it with any of these programs? Is the Amplitube program that much better that it would be worth getting that one over the $5 Garageband app?
